Man Held for Capitol Riot Alleges He Was Beaten by Jail Guards

Unlike the BLM and Antifa mobs that rioted and burned their way through American cities for much of last year, many of the people involved in the Capitol riot of January 6th are sitting in jail.
One man who is being held even claims he has been beaten by jail guards.

Tensions are running high between guards and inmates at a D.C. jail housing many of the defendants in Jan. 6 cases, with at least one of those prisoners alleging that he was brutally beaten by correctional officers.
For weeks, Capitol riot defendants being held in Washington have complained that they are locked in their cells with virtually no human contact for 23 hours a day. But a startling, graphic account offered publicly in court on Tuesday by one such inmate, Ronald Sandlin, went further: alleging that guards have subjected those charged in the Jan. 6 events to violence, threats and verbal harassment.
“Myself and others involved in the Jan. 6 incident are scared for their lives, not from each other but from correctional officers,” Sandlin said during a bail hearing conducted by video before U.S. District Court Judge Dabney Friedrich. “I don’t understand how this is remotely acceptable,” he added, saying he was being subjected to “mental torture.”
In an unusual direct plea to the judge, Sandlin said another Capitol riot defendant, Ryan Samsel, “was severely beaten by correctional officers, [is now] blind in one eye, has a skull fracture and detached retina.”
Last night, Tucker Carlson did an extended monologue about this and noted that the two girls who just killed someone in a DC carjacking will probably see less jail time:

There won’t be any prosecution of the guards. None. This is what happens when leftists gain power. Their followers feel emboldened to take matters into their own hands and abandon the rule of law. What do you think those riots were about this past summer? And why do you think so many prominent democrats supported the rioters?
Especially true if the guards are black.
Because the whitey Trump supporters deserved it. Payback for ‘systemic racism’ and all the white privilege they enjoyed all their lives.
Note… The detainees in Gitmo are treated better.
Absolutely correct as to the Gitmo detainees. And they would kill us all if they had the opportunity.
The taxpayers cover the settlement and the union shields the guards.
I would bet that the prison guards are primarily of non white persuasion .

And until relatively recently, DC’s prison wasn’t even in DC, but in suburban Virginia, about 20 miles outside the city. When their oh-so-competent guards had breakouts (two or three times every year) it was our neighborhood at risk, not theirs.
We’re hearing an awful lot this week about the duty that police have with regards to the safety and health of those in their custody.
Keep in mind that the jail is part of the Capitol Compound. The jailers there partake in the immunity that all of the hired muscle of the State have. Plus, the prisoners are Americans who dare to think that the law and Constitution limit the conduct of those who run the State. Such heresy can and will be punished with no recourse by the peasants. [sadly not sarc in DC]

What is the process by which the allegation can be verified or rejected?
First they look at your social media accounts to see if you’re a Trump fan, and if that isn’t decisive they look to see if you’re a registered Dem or GOP.
If social media shows you hate Trump and you’re either a Dem or openly a communist you get released and are handed pallets of cash like you are (or in some cases actually are) either a terrorist or sponsor of terrorism.
If you love Trump and you’re a registered republican your grievance form goes into the toilet after the IG uses it as toilet paper.
This is shocking. No jail inmate has ever claimed mistreatment in the history of jails so this must be true.

It did not appear that Cernovich was making a joke! This needs to be taken seriously and the guards prosecuted. If the guards are not prosecuted that is clear evidence that we have fully entered the communist state of America, bought on by the Democrats.
