The End of America?
In his first couple of days in office, Joe Biden has already taken action to further an open borders agenda that will wreak havoc on the nation for years to come. In a slew of executive orders and memorandums, the 46th president ordered a hundred day freeze on all deportations, demanded the construction of the southern border wall be halted, and instructed that all illegal immigrants are to be counted in the census survey for purposes of congressional apportionment.
Inspired by Biden’s destructive executive orders and promises of amnesty, a caravan of 8,000 migrants from South America marched towards the United States with hopes of gaining entry into the country through our now porous Southern border. The group was stopped not by U.S. Customs and Border Protection agency, but by the government of Honduras due to a Trump-Era agreement.
While advocates for unfettered immigration may invoke the Statue of Liberty when making the case for open borders, they neglect to recognize that there are many tired, hungry, and sick American citizens. According to a report released by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, 10.7 million Americans are unemployed. Similarly, the Department of Agriculture published an economic research report in 2018 that found an estimated 37 million Americans were food insecure. Feeding America, a nonprofit organization dedicated to eradicating hunger, projects this number has increased to 50.4 million due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Even prior to the pandemic, Americans have been struggling. Since 1979, real wages have fallen for people with lower levels of education and risen for people with college degrees.

In order to understand what is happening now, what is being done to this nation, you need understand only two simple facts. First, what is called the “Democrat Party” is, in fact, the New Communist Party of the USA. Second, the goal of Communism, from the time of Karl Marx to the present day, was/is the downfall and destruction of Western Civilization in order to pave the way for the creation of a worldwide Communist dictatorship. There. Simple, no?
Interesting read, almost none of it makes much sense but interesting never the less. The reality is that large sections of the economy run on immigration (I’m not an advocate of unfettered immigration just proportionate).
The article points to the disparity of wealth between the general population and the elites. I find it ironic that it criticised the Democrats on this basis given that in part their policy platform seeks to reinvigorate the economy by a) dealing with Covid and b) enhance the economy with the green agency. A government that invests is likely to generate jobs, that’s how Keynesian economics works after recessionary type events.
The more complex issue of wage disparity warrants thoughtful discussion and reducing that to an immigration question misses the larger social trends going on in the western world.
Keynesian economics is nothing but a phony “science” designed to allow government to do whatever it damn well pleases. It’s the “settled science” and “public health” excuse for the financial sector.
Well Keynesian economics has been utilised very successfully. Obama used those principles very successfully to ensure the US economy was extremely buoyant post recession.
I’m not clear how you arrive at the conclusion that its somehow phony? Nor am I clear that it allows a free for all it is usually applied in full when recessions occur in order to stimulate the economy to prevent job losses and ensure money keeps going around the system.

It never ceases to amaze me how smart a student can be intellectually, a great test taker, great textbook knowledge, blows the IQ tests away, nearly aces the sat’s tests,etc.,but yet are so stupid and lacking any kind of common sense. This kid gets it and then some. Don’t lose your courage and maintain that gut to persevere to continually differentiate yourself. Believe me you are saying what many others are thinking.
Joe Silverstein has done a great job leading the Cornell Review. In contrast, the output of the editor-in-chief of the Cornell Sun has been lower. During the past year, she has written less than a dozen editorials. One demanded the firing of a tenure Cornell Chemistry professor. The competition and election of next year editors has begun.
