VIDEO: Teen mob attacks vehicle in broad daylight in Midtown Manhattan
From the driver: “This is not the New York I grew up in. It is not the New York that I love or understand.”
Video caught 20-50 teenagers attacking a vehicle in Manhattan in broad daylight.
Here is a video from the driver:
Here’s another angle of the incident. I did not move the car for more than 60 seconds as they were destroying the car. Only after they broke the glass and gained access to the car did I drive one block away from them to protect my life and my 74-year-old mother pic.twitter.com/3q60DxhMYF
— Max T from NYC (@maxtnyc212) December 30, 2020
Different angle. There are 3 videos. And I really wish right now I could find the names and give credit to all these people for taking these. They are amazing ppl. I’m still in shock and dealing with what happened but I want to thank all the people who took video & gave it 2 me

These lowlifes are riding by giving the finger as I am consoling my mother who is screaming and crying and fearful for her life. These people are scum and I truly feel sorry for them. What went wrong in their life for them to end up like this

Others caught the incident on video:
Witnessed a disturbing incident in broad daylight on 5th ave / 21st St in NYC today. About 50 young boys on bikes blocked 5th ave traffic & trashed an SUV, riders inside, jumping on the windshield. Car had medical license plates & a man & older woman inside. pic.twitter.com/33QeQc4ObC

The driver of the car had more to say.
So I am the driver of the car. I was in it with my 74-year-old mother. Approximately 50 bicycles started going down the street. They swarmed in front of me. We’re holding onto the sides of my car for a free ride. I slow down to let them go. And idiot doing a wheelie behind me (1)
— NYC_Kid (@maxtnyc212) December 30, 2020
Crashed into the back of the car when I hit the brakes. That’s what happens when you’re 6 inches behind a moving automobile. This is not the New York I grew up in. It is not the New York that I love or understand. (2)
— NYC_Kid (@maxtnyc212) December 30, 2020
The police were amazing tonight. Strangers on the street were amazing tonight. The criminals tonight got away and were not caught. The police did not have the equipment they needed in their vehicles to do their job tonight. So don’t tell me defund the police. (3)
— NYC_Kid (@maxtnyc212) December 30, 2020
I am all for taking money away from corrupt cops, but let’s reward the good ones that are there in the moments when you need them. When you’re 74-year-old mother is screaming in the phone to a 911 operator that I am going to be killed. When your life is on the line (4)

Hmmm, curious how this crap doesn’t happen in places where citizens are “allowed” to exercise the 2A rights.
People, wake up. This is what your progressive overlords have in store for you… to make you weak and subject to the actions of their goons.
Scum like this should be shot down in the street, just like a rabid dog that is going around attacking people would be.
It’s New York City, Communist China.
BREAKING

Believe me this doesn’t happen in Communist China!
Ya know that tall skinny peddle on the right?
I live in Eastern WA State, having read the handwriting on the wall and sold the Seattle house 3-1/2 years ago. No one could’ve predicted the events of 2020, but the city’s feckless response did not surprise me in the least.
Anyway, when the antifa pukes decided to hire a bus and come out here from Portland to a town 25 miles away, the word spread and they were greeted by about 20 men holding AR-15 rifles. They left right away.
I am a licensed concealed carrier, and if something like this happened to me here, the attackers would stand a significant chance of being shot. And trust me, not only would the county prosecutor not come after me for it, but if I were wrong and he did file charges, no jury in this county would convict me.
Saw this in Brazil over 20 years ago.I guess we graduated !
During a Legal Insurrection video conference, all the panelists laughed at my suggestion that looters should be shot.
What was your impression of why they laughed? Did they think your suggestion was absurd? Or did it make them uncomfortable to realize they agreed with you?
I think it was a mixture of thinking it was absurd and disagreeing with me.
Most likely it was an expression of glee … remember, some of them are lawyers who would make bank defending you for offing looters. (J/K, of course). 😉
Nervous laughter
These Thugvon like snots deserve one of two bullets.
Society has for the most part short circuted evolution. Rather than hindering evolution, we should be helping it.
Besides, this would improve quality of life and improve our gene pool.
Did they laugh because you suggested 12 ga. bird-shot as opposed to 00 Buck, because that indeed would be risible. Surely the fact that they should be shot on sight was never questioned. That would be foolhardy and simply ignorant.
You can’t shoot somebody for just looting (property-only crime) in most jurisdictions, but arson that endangers human life is another matter entirely depending on jurisdiction. http://ypdcrime.com/penal.law/article35.htm?zoom_highlight=arson “…and may use deadly physical force if he or she reasonably believes such to be necessary to prevent or terminate the commission or attempted commission of arson.” It doesn’t specify whether the building needs to be occupied to invoke this. My understanding from an armed self-defense course I took in NY is that the arson must put human life at risk to justify the use of deadly force to terminate it, but I’m not an attorney.
When I say “looting,” though, I am assuming that there are no employees in the store being ransacked. If there are, I could see my way clear as a juror to deciding that the mob’s implied threat of force makes the crime robbery (violent felony) as opposed to larceny or shoplifting.
This was common in NYC in the 70s and early 80s. It was wild times. Of course you had the mob back then too and the Irish criminals in Hell’s Kitchen. Rent was cheap–because most neighborhoods were what we would call s*** holes.
It ended with the criminals being locked up and zero tolerance. While some lament Times Square’s transformation, it was a skeevy place in the seventies, and now it is a sedate tourist attraction.
NO it wasn’t nearly that bad. There wasn’t the “gotcha” mentality, the random violence. Sure you could be held up, but these thugs don’t even want to hold anyone up, they just want to destroy and “interrupt” people they hate.
Their conduct will only become worse, eventfully leading to maiming’s and murder.
Actually, it was pretty bad. Among other things, during the 1970s two friends of mine were mugged while waiting in line for a Broadway show. Kids, those times are coming back.
That is simply not true. In the 70s there was a lot of street crime – muggings, extortion, window washers collecting under threat of vandalism. And, of course “black on black”, hispanic on hispanic, Chinese gangs, … and “wildings” at City pools and in Central park. But not roving mobs of 40 – 50 prepubescent youths harassing and vandalizing. ’80s were nothing like the 70s – things calmed very notably.
The first incident like this I can recall was the “black” motorcycle club who attacked the family in the SUV on the upper west side highway maybe ten years ago.
I challenge to research news archives and come up with any similar incidents.
Forgot about drug crazed bicycle messengers in the 80s. But those were individuals and their intent was to taunt and intimidate.
Separately, to those who don’t blame NYPD – they are fundamental to the problem: the PBA runs the department and the “below a certain age, breathing, no criminal conviction, a GED, at least 4’6″ tall, … , and able to physically stand thresholds” for candidates is absolutely part of the problem. As is the fact that members of the force are not required to maintain a NYC residency. … And, there likely isn’t a commander at One Police Plaza that does not recognize these hindrances to the effectiveness of the force. Or that the “quality of life” enforcement give every officer an easy daily out from being on the street. … It’s probably safe to say 90% of the force are likely in it for the benefits, early retirement pension and chance at the “disability lottery”.
Sorry to disagree, but in 1962 or 63, I was on a subway platform on my way to school and watched in horror and fear as a group of black teenage girls screaming “Get Whitey” grabbed another girl, ripped the earrings from her ears, and threw her on the tracks in front of an oncoming train. I never saw anything about it in the news. Shit like that happened. It was just covered up. No one in authority wanted to talk about it because it would scare people away from the city.
Surprise, surprise, surprise. So, a major city allows a major breakdown in societal norm to occur and barbarians to do whatever they want and Mad Max comes to Manhattan. Who would have expected that to happen?
The leadership, in this country and world, has proven that it is either totally incompetent or actively working against the interests of its constituents. Either way, it has placed the rank and file citizen in the position of assuming the functions of government to protect himself. Thus ends civilization.
Mac45,
Agreed. Unfortunately this will continue until the local government addresses the issues or the pendulum swings far enough that ordinary people address it.
I know which I prefer. If the local government leadership doesn’t want ‘vigilante’ justice then their course is clear, investigate, prosecute, convict, sentence and imprison criminals. Should the local government leadership refuse that course they have zero ground to bitch and moan when ordinary citizens do the job they refused to do.
Won’t the “government leadership” be the very first to go in that case?
The problem with assuming that the local government will address these problems is that the local politicians are not bound to the jurisdictions that they serve, especially in big cities. Not only can they simply move elsewhere, bu large municipalities tend to insulate the politicians from their constituents. In a burg with a 100,000 person population, these conditions do not exist, because the political class has to exist in close proximity to the average citizen on a daily basis. In metropolitan areas, politicians can insulate themselves from constituents who do not agree with their policies and decisions.
Mac45,
To clarify I make no assumptions as to the ability, due to bizarre policy preferences, nor the willingness of local officials to act.
Action will, eventually, be taken whether by modern day versions of Bernie Goetz or the voters reaching the point where they demand action and vote in someone who will act.
CommoChief is right: we should all remember that in the end, the police are there to protect criminals from US.
The deal from the time of Robert Peale to the present has been this: we allow the police and the courts to arrest and prosecute criminals instead of administering rough street justice. In return, the police and courts deal with the criminals and provide the public with justice.
If the police and the courts either can’t or won’t uphold their end, we’re not obligated to uphold ours.
WOW. Way to spin historical fact. You are correct. The criminal justice system, in the US, does protect accused criminals from the arbitrary actions of the populace. We have a system which is based upon the presumption of innocence, with regard to criminal action. The entire criminal justice system is geared to applying that presumption to all of us. This means that those suspected of criminal behavior are taken into custody with as little violence as possible, after an investigation produces sufficient probable cause to believe that a criminal act occurred and the person taken into custody was the one responsible. then we have several more steps to prove, beyond a reasonable doubt that the person committed the crime, BEFORE he is punished.
Use of force, in lawful manner in self defense, is allowed under statutory and common law.
The government will go after the “vigilantes” only. You seem to be confused about whose side the government is on. They want you intimidated and afraid. It’s how they take your freedoms away.
I’m of the belief that this is not incompetence; they’re actively working to implement an agenda. Just as Cloward-Piven aims to bankrupt our economic system, these are efforts to actively tear down our social fabric.
It’s all aimed at destroying our society and economic system so that it can be replaced with a “new world order” or “great reset” or whatever you want to call it… they’re all different names for a global, communist system.
The people who are pushing for these things are our mortal enemies. We need to realize it, and either accept what they’re ramming down or throats, or resign ourselves to the fact that they’re all going to need to be destroyed. And it looks like our opportunity to destroy them with non-violent means is rapidly slipping away from us.
Have you noticed that the Cities with most of the problems with Rioting, Looting, and Violence over this past few months, have ALL been Democrat- run Cities ? Of course, this includes New York City which has the WORST Mayor in N.Y. History ! Bill de Blasio is running New York City into the ground. He does NOT back the Police, and they know it, and all of his ideas lean toward Socialism, which THIS Country does not need or want !

Agreed. A summary of his position is “Cops suck, unless they are protecting me.”
Yes. The driver favors defunding the police. What goes around… (Karma is a B*tch).
Just look at his Twitter account. It’s filled with self-righteous anti-police tweets and retweets.
This is not a guy to feel sorry for – he’s part of the problem. Notice that he says, in one of the tweets quoted above: “I’m all for taking money away from corrupt cops, but let’s reward the good one’s…that are there when you need them.”
This would not be happening in my neighborhood.
Nor mine (where the average age is 70). You’d more likely be surrounded by cane-wielding geezers in wheel chairs.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=csuZHyW-iGI
I’m 71 and hardly athletic.mIn lieu of a cane. I have my choice of handgons. 22LR, 9mm, or a 22 magnum. That last one is a very nasty fireaarm indeed.
Glad to see someone else with a healthy respect for a .22 magnum “mouse gun.” You wouldn’t want to shoot that round if the attacker was wearing a heavy coat, but otherwise it’s an excellent defensive firearm because is it powerful and has very low recoil. Perfect for people getting on in years, and for anyone else who is sensitive to recoil.
In my neighborhood (in Arizona), you’d be surrounded by geezers (and younger people too) with guns.
Which is why we don’t see this kind of bullshit in my neighborhood.
Really??? The driver has to ask how this happened? Sir, you have been part and parcel as to why they attacked your car! Don’t you understand? You’ve been canceled by the “mob”. Your white privilege had to be kicked to the curb. /s This is about the same critical thinking skills as a person lamenting lung cancer, when they smoked 5 packs a day for 20 years. SMH. Absolutely no self realization.
A vehicle is a deadly weapon. Never forget that. The constitution recognizes the right of self defense. Never forget that.
Apparently the driver did forget
The Constitution might. Will Officer Friendly and his boss, Mayor Garcetti / diBkasio / Lightfoot? Will the tyrant with the black dress and the cute little wooden hammer?
The Constitution has been suspended in New York.
how come none of the videos play?
Who organizes these kids on bikes is what I want to know.
See them all the time in my sh*thole city.
Mostly, these. people comprise the ore violent bicycle messengers, and econut groups like San Francisco’s Critital Mass.
Biden supporter or not, nobody should be treated like this in a civilized society. The amazing thing is that Cuomo, DeBlasio, and others wonder why people are fleeing the city if they can. We see videos like this and wonder why more people aren’t running for the exits.
Bullshit.
I’m sick of shielding these morons from the consequences of their decisions.
This is EXACTLY what he voted for.
Now he gets to enjoy it.
I agree. On the other hand, I have no sympathy for him. While no one should be victimized by such lawlessness, if it does occur the appropriate victim is NYC_Kid@maxtnyc212 and his ilk.
“Some people have the vocabulary to sum up things in a way that you can quickly understand them. This quote came from the Czech Republic. Someone over there has it figured out. It was translated into English from an article in a Prague newspaper.”
“The danger to America is not Joseph Biden, but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the Presidency. It will be far easier to limit and undo the follies of a Biden presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to a depraved electorate willing to have such a man for their president. The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Biden, who is a mere symptom of what ails America. Blaming the prince of the fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince. The Republic can survive a Biden, who is, after all, merely a fool. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools, such as those who made him their president.”
The quote makes an assumption, which is being rapidly being proven false. That being that the electorate lawfully elected Joe Biden. Even though the story of the rampant election fraud, shown the have existed in the 2020 Presidential election, has disappeared from the MSM and most of the conservative media as well, evidence continues to mount that it not only occurred, but swung the election from Trump to Biden. In essence, the nation was stolen, at the highest level. And, as we are now learning, the mechanisms in place to prevent that from happening have been co-opted and are useless. This is the type of thing which spark revolutions.
Mac45–I agree. However, it is very alarming that well over 70 million of our fellow Americans did vote for Biden.
Did they, Ira? With the evidence of election fraud building daily, we really have no idea how many people voted, especially for Biden.
I doubt that 70 million eligible people voted for Biden. Or 60 or even 50. The fraud had to be massive to be so easy to notice and prove in many cases, even as frantic and cost-be-damned efforts are underway to hide and destroy the evidence.
Nobody has been paying attention to the (apparently) vast numbers of illegal votes counted in places like LA.
Stolen election or not, there are a vast number of fools who voted for Biden. These vast numbers of fools control our government, our schools and universities, and our courts. They control our media and our largest corporations. If they are a minority, they are only slightly so, and fools with great power to boot.
That’s a Rush Limbaugh quote, but he said it about Obama.
#1 and now mass numbers of fools are gathered in cities and have found a way to steal elections.
I am thinking of treating myself to a new vehicle. I am debating: the Pacifica Hybrid I want? Or, given what is coming, a 4WD or AWL pickup or SUV that might be better for – should that nasty moment arise – I need to Get Out of Dodge even if it means running over bikes and other detritus.
Ford F-150 4WD
Not a Ford. A combination of family history, and local dealers who won’t even give me a second look. No thanks. But thank you for the suggestion.
Shop online, call to arrange a deal, then show up to pick up the vehicle. Tell them you’re likely to finance with them, but don’t.
I’d get something body-on-frame, but that’s just my taste. How about an older Chevy Tahoe without a lot of gadgets for not too many dollars? They’re simple to fix and big enough to carry stuff.
You need a jacked up body and 4WD to get over and around obstacles.
There is a Dodge Ram Insurrection version white with the front hood, fenders and grill “dripping” blood red paint. Cummins turbo-diesel Ram 3500 dually is your new “blockade runner”.
3/4 ton diesel still gets good fuel mileage and can easily carry a plow if in snow area.
or if in heavy protester area.
friend averages 16 with his 2020 dodge.
grr hit post too soon.
the 2011 chevy 2500HD 6l gas I run averages 7-9
w/o plow or trailer I average 10-12
“friend averages 16 with his 2020 dodge.”
16 MPH, or protesters?
either/or. its all good LOL
That’s why I bought a Jeep a few months ago. 4WD, high ground clearance and run-flat tires. I assume the “mud” setting is most appropriate for driving over slippery surfaces.
I don’t think the vehicle choice matters much at all. I say that as someone who owns a Toyota RAV-4, a tiny Think electric car (long story, but the short one is that I am no eco-weenie), and an 8,000-lb Ram 3500 diesel truck.
The truck obviously has the bulk, but the EV and the Toyota are more maneuverable. What’s a lot more important are to a) get a vehicle dashcam to establish the facts, and b) develop a working knowledge of the law of self-defense — BOTH of which I have done. In fact, I also bought a bodycam, but I don’t use it where I live.
I have given a great deal of thought to this, because we live about an hour and a half out of Portland, and have reason to go there every month or two. If you want to protect yourself, any vehicle will do. Just be sure to document everything, hence the cameras.
I don’t know where you live, so the best protection — a firearm than you know how to use, and a concealed carry permit — might be impossible. In addition to being armed with a pistol, I carry a can of wasp spray. Don’t laugh: Those cans shoot a stream for 20 feet.
It is just a matter of time before some motorist snaps and starts treating these hoodlums as if they are the first prize in a demolition derby. When that happens the media will be all racism this and white privilege that. That could all be avoided if Bolshevik Bill DiBlassio would just enforce the law.
Maybe the time is come for us to actually be racists. At least as the way the left defines us. I for one don’t care.
It’s already happened. Naturally the driver was blamed for everything.
What a fucking moron.
He literally can’t even get through a few tweets about this insane incident without virtue signaling about ‘corrupt cops’.
That’s why it happened, jackass.
You are getting EXACTLY what you voted for.
Enjoy it.
huge biden supporter gets hit by a mob.
karma sucks.
Antifa? Some, Select Black Lives Matter?
What a heart warming video ! Reminds of when I was a kid… We’d take our brand new Christmas bikes to town and try to run down random people….(sigh…)
And, of course…if we got a new pair of Christmas Sneakers we’d stomp a windshield or two…
I guess the best part was when Grandma would come down to bail us out of jail…she’d bring the cops a plate of Christmas cookies.
(Ah…the memories….)
When I first saw the video, I thought it was a modern re-make of the movie version of A Clockwork Orange. It’s disgusting that these hoodlums can get away with this kind of behavior in the daylight, on a busy New York street.
“It’s the end of the line, Alex, the end of the linnnnne. Your victim has diiiied.”
If my mother was in the car with me I would have said “Mom, close your eyes” and then I would have ran them all over. Don’t understand why he let this happen.
Exactly. There are numerous videos out there of drivers reacting immediately in similar situations, not just waiting for the next attack. A stationary vehicle is the most vulnerable. Usually this happens in places like Venezuela.
Grab a bunch of the bicyclists and restrain them. Lay their bikes on the street. Then, run a convoy of pickups and SUVs over them.
NYC_Kid’s twitter feed is a non-stop Biden/Kamala lovefest, Trump hatefest. Defender of the summer rioters. But the attack on his personal property and his Mommy’s tears have given him a whole new perspective.
Check out his AOC retweet from back in June bashing cops who are roughing up a bicyclist who is blocking traffic in NYC. Fine then, not so much now.
https://twitter.com/AOC/status/1268387165421125633
One version of the old saw, “A conservative is a liberal who’s been mugged”, but reality says that most of them learn exactly nothing from the experience.
At some point one of these groups will surround a car driven by a trained CCW permit holder. Heaven help them if one of these goons presents a lethal weapon.
In NYC, it will be heaven help him. The Mayor is very protective of his criminal element
You don’t need a CCW to press down the accelerator pedal, which you are justified in doing if you are in reasonable fear for your life. My understanding is that NY is not a stand your ground state and you must retreat IF you can do so in complete safety (a good idea even in stand your ground states, George Zimmerman stood his ground and look what happened to him) but I do not see this driver as having the option to leave the scene without hurting anybody.
So…where’s Bernhard Goetz when he’s needed most?
This incident took place less than 10 blocks from where I grew up, and, where my senior-aged parents still live. Has vile de Blasio so cowed and emasculated the NYPD, that these criminal, sociopath reprobates now run rampant around NYC, terrorizing innocents? I cannot understand how such lawlessness and terror is tolerated, even in a Dhimmi-crat-managed city.
The NYPD is the largest municipal police force in the country, but, the thugs seem to be running NYC these days.
Yes and I don’t blame the cops. There has been a policy of letting demonstrators do anything but intentionally looking for things to charge cops with, who were just trying to contain the madness. Cyrus Vance Jr. has been implementing that explicit policy. A secret memo was leaked.
I don’t blame the cops for creating the situation, either, but, if thugs are brazenly attacking people and destroying property, if you’re a law enforcement officer you have a duty and an obligation to intervene. Otherwise, you’re betraying the public trust. Let the cops make the arrests, and, let the politicians bear the heat when the Soros-funded DA’s and Dhimmi-crat judges let the thugs back on the street, with a slap on the wrist.
But the cops are the ones that end up getting arrested, and the Soros DA’s are not inclined to let them walk.
I wonder if the police will be funded and fully empowered to do their job if a well organized gang shows up and beats these thugs senseless and then disappears.
DeBlasio will probably have cops pulled off all sorts of other duty to focus on that urgent case. He gets all angry when his pets are mistreated.
These feral thugs hate us and look for weakness to attack. They found it. His mother didn’t deserve to go thru this, but that’s how it goes these days.
Three big jugs of hand soap from Costco will stop the lawless bikers. Knobby tires can’t handle hard slick surfaces.
In the last days of South Africa, before civilized people lost control of their own country, that was an interesting gadget you could have installed on your car. When the cars were being attacked. Mash on the button on the dashboard and it started flamethrowers out each side of the car. The crowd dispersed quickly is a polite way of putting it. A byproduct was the stench of burnt flesh.
We have to go our own way. It’s our only hope.
Start the divorce discussions.
2 weeks ago, story in this blog told about the fact that 54% of voters in NYC pay zero tax. The politicians officially work for the expense side of the City financial statement – not the funding side. Think about that.
EXTORTION differs from TAXATION only if the taxed have a say in budget and finance.
Join the Union of Taxpayers. MONEY = POWER.
NYers voted for it, though in the future that option is no longer valid, governments are installed.
I don’t fully understand why the driver didn’t use extreme action to get himself out of danger, such as accelerating, even if it meant hitting some of the aggressors.
The only thing closer to “being attacked by a pack of wild animals” is being attacked by a pack of wild animals.
Don’t blame the cops. You should have called the zoo.
Why shouldn’t these poor souls go off like this? They’ve been given the green light by the commies who runs this city/state. After all, I’m sure they’re victims of some BS indignation, and need to retaliate in any way the see fit–and be lauded for it. By the way, I see Time Square is preparing for their New Year’s celebration. I’m really getting worried since I’ve not from Benito Fauci and all his comrades, regarding the dangers of a large gathering. Did I miss something?
My take as a juror would be that, the instant somebody steps in front of the car intentionally to force it to stop as seen in this video, the law’s hypothetical reasonable person can construe it as an improvised roadblock to facilitate a carjacking and/or Reginald Denny style beating. If the mob does not offer the driver the option of leaving the scene in complete safety, whatever happens subsequently is on the mob.
While it’s illegal to discuss a case with an actual juror, no law says we can’t educate the entire potential jury pool (all citizens in the US) ahead of time. This should be done in Kenosha where every potential juror should be made aware that the prosecutor who filed the charges stipulated in the charge sheet that the three individuals shot by Rittenhouse not only attacked him first and pursued him when he tried to leave the scene, but at least two tried to rob him (violent felony right there) by trying to take his rifle and possibly turning it against him, while the third was brandishing a handgun after pursuing Rittenhouse.
We need to predispose every potential juror in the country to throw out whatever charges the prosecution files in these cases without even bothering to listen to the defendant’s side of the story. In this case, after seeing the videos, I would be fine with the driver running over the individuals who blocked his vehicle to keep him from leaving (but not with taking the law into his own hands by going after fleeing assailants as happened in another such incident elsewhere–you have the right to protect yourself but not to punish somebody, that’s the prerogative of a court of law).
A lot depends on who gets picked for juries. I can imagine juries where all the enlightenment in the world wouldn’t change their desire to stick it to the defendant. And that’s not just racial.
Don’t avoid jury service. Take the days off work. Show up and try to get on the jury, so you can do justice!
Have you ever been on a jury with ten women who insist a third time drug dealer should rate probation?
the driver is a coward–his tweets about ” not wanting to get hurt myself but also not hurting anyone else “(sic)are so damned typical of the self-righteous/hypocritical sjw–he’s very lucky indeed–he had his seventy-something MOTHER with him–he’s responsible for HER safety even if he’s too stupid to act and protect himself–the hell with damage to the vehicle–that’s what insurance is for–you don’t stand/sit there and afford unruly bastards an opportunity to injure your loved ones
Read the and/or watch, and join up if you need to, Atty Andrew Branca’s Law of Self Defense for an exquisite LEGAL analysis of this event, and with especial reference to the status of the driver in this event who lives in a jurisdiction that does not have black letter law as the defense of life when in an occupied vehicle.
