MIT Implementing Mandatory Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Training

This is required left wing indoctrination. Students will learn the ways of the left or they won’t learn anything at all.

EXCLUSIVE: MIT mandates diversity training; one student calls it ‘indoctrination’
Massachusetts Institute of Technology sent an email to students informing them that if they didn’t complete diversity, equity, and inclusion training, they would be unable to register for spring classes.
In the email, a copy of which Campus Reform obtained, MIT outlined “two required trainings,” the first one being “diversity, equity, and inclusion,” and the second being “sexual assault prevention ongoing: healthy relationships.”
“You will have a registration hold placed on your account and will be unable to register for IAP and/or spring 2021 classes if you do not complete both trainings by the Nov. 2 deadline,” the email reads.
“From my perspective, this is a gross over-reach of the school’s power,” one MIT student, who asked to remain anonymous out of fear of retribution, told Campus Reform.
The student argued that MIT was making “classes contingent upon indoctrination.”
MIT cited a 2015 push by the Black Student Union as the catalyst for the change, saying that since then, “students rated MIT as more caring, safe, and friendly.”
The training covered various topics, including the exploration of power, the definition of privilege, and different types of oppression.
The first section of the required training, titled, “exploring power,” alleged “power imbalances” in civilizations and institutions around the world: “Because of this inequitable access to power, history has been told through the lens of those in charge, without allowing the stories of the disempowered to be recognized.”

Just one more reason why I doubt I’ll ever hire or recommend a recent MIT graduate.
Woke, angry, and illiterate just isn’t what a productive business ought to hire.
In a few more years, I think a resume with a recent college degree will automatically go in the “discard” pile.
That’s maybe a bit much. The students didn’t vote for this even if BSU did, and it’s not like a course for a grade, just a tick-the-box to make you learn that history is written by the winners.
Still, Rafael Reif is an awful president of MIT.

MIT’s error was recognizing the Black Student Union in the first place. “Get lost!” would be my answer to their demands.
MIT has has a Black Student Union for at least 50 years.

Yes, but in the old days they were more constructive and seemed to be focused on trying to get students help in passing physics.
“Those who are in power, and abuse it,” it added, “often remain in control by dominating the narrative and deciding who has access to their sphere of influence.”
I haven’t heard a better description of L. Rafael Reif’s tenure as MIT president than this. From his abuse of confidential survey data to railroad the closure of the school’s “dorm for outcasts” in 2017, to his engagement last year of a high-priced legal team to investigate whether one L. Rafael Reif acted unethically by approving donations from Jeffrey Epstein, a donor on MIT’s “prohibited list” (result: surprise, no ethical violations occurred — Reif was “not aware” of the donations, despite having personally signed the paperwork!), Reif is the poster child for abuse of privilege. Someone at MIT needs to chain him to a dental chair, glue his eyelids open, and force him to watch this course 100 times consecutively.
Definitely indoctrination. Its nationwide. Many have and many must be prepared to be shunned, publicly shamed, bullied, etc. and to get in line for those ready to be fired or forced to resign. Standup like Jodi Shaw did.
This is discouraging. I thought that MIT was one school which would eschew the wokeness epidemic.

Have a look at the membership of the MIT Corporation, its equivalent of the Board of Trustees, and see why Rafael Reif and his agendas are in place there.
There are a few morons who will be influenced by such courses, but most will be bored and, more importantly, resentful at being forced to waste their time with such bs. The more blacks attempt to push people around, the more likely the badly needed backlash.
This isn’t blacks pushing people around , this is white privileged east coast A**holes deciding what blacks want.
