Prof Complains of Threats After Calling for Death of All Cops and Capitalists

What this person wrote on social media is so over the top that it’s hard to imagine how someone thinks like this.

Prof calls for all cops to be strangled, complains about doxxing and death threats afterward
A professor who called for every “last cop” to be strangled says he is now dealing with death threats, vandalism and doxxing attempts.
Earlier this month, Midwestern State University philosophy professor Nathan Jun wrote on a Facebook thread “I want the entire world to burn until the last cop is strangled with the intestines of the last capitalist, who is strangled in turn with the intestines of the last politician.”
The comment also included a link to a YouTube video which now appears to have been taken down.
According to KFDX/KJTL, the university stands behind Jun’s right to make such statements on his own time: “Occasionally individuals will express opinions that may be offensive and even shocking, but are nonetheless entitled to First Amendment protection. When our faculty members speak or write as citizens within the confines of the law, they are free from institutional censorship or discipline.”
Jun praised MSU for backing his free expression rights; however, he is upset at the general reaction to his remarks. Jun blames KFDX for not providing “context” to his original comments which he says “helped gin up the latest in a long line of violent, hysterical attacks against [his] person and property”:
In the past 24 hours alone I have received hundreds of death threats (most of them virulently anti-Semitic in nature) by phone, email, text, and private message and my home has been vandalized for the fifth time since June. The harassment has been so intense that I have been compelled to relocate to a hotel for my own safety. …

Anyone else notice how often the people who denounce the police are soon after begging for their help? This happens quite often in the academic community where a yellow stripe down the back is as common as flies around horse shit.
It is ironic that he calls for violence against police, and then expects police to protect him.
He is apparently a Ashkenazi Jew, a group with the highest average IQ, it is also clear that he falls on the wrong side of their Bell Curve.

Allowing for another Nathan Jun, I just googled the name. The search turned up a weird picture (he apparently never learned how to smile for a picture) and identifies him as PHD in philosophy (a red flag IMHO) and a book named “Anarchism and Political Modernity”. Eeeeeyyyyah.. What in blazes is political modernity?
I got a brief whiff of the introduction to that book, where he decries a few bad apples in the ranks of anarchists, who resorted to assassination, thus giving the noble cause a bad name. Sounds a bit like that other lunatic who wrote that book “In defense of Looting”.
Protect your own property in your own ideological world….someone should toss pig intestines all over his house to fester and rot.
He seems to have a problem with authority, but I bet he doesn’t realize the irony of his authority role as a professor. Eventually, any mob that thinks like him will come for him, too, French Rev style.

Last point: he said he has been subject to “doxxing attempts”. I don’t think he knows what doxxing is. If his name is already out there, he is no longer anonymous. It also sounds like he posted his original screed under a non-anonymous user name on twitter. The rest of his personal information is somewhere in the public records.

Legally that is not incitement. It’s protected speech. Which means a state school cannot fire him for saying it. An elementary or high school can prohibit him from teaching it, but the principle of academic freedom means a university can’t even do that.
He could be prevented from including it in specific inappropriate areas of study such as math.
So, Nathan Jun is upset about getting hate mail. OK, Jun, who you gonna call?

Doesn’t the school have any standards of behavior for their professors? I bet they would fire a Nazi or KKK professor easily.
As a supposedly educated Jew, its beyond ironic that he has no ability to prevent himself from expressing murderous hatred toward groups of people or to understand that many find such behavior abhorent.

I just commented to “JusticeDelivered” asking: How do you happen to know this? I’m not on FB or Twitter so I wouldn’t know if he self-identifies as such on any of these sites. But if he does, he ought to stop. I’m pretty sure he’s not a credit to whatever group he belongs to.
Apparently he does identify as a Jew, and even correctly calls out black antisemitism. I see nothing, however, to justify JD’s assumption that he’s of Ashkenazi origin.

Free speech, own time, all very well. But the problem is, says a future tuition payer, if the U employs this clown–bad enough–how many other nutcases do they have who are going to be teaching my kid?
