Biden-Harris Feeding Doubts As To 2020 Coronavirus Vaccine, Poll Shows Public Concerned
Majority of people now believe a vaccine released this year would be “rushed through” — echoing Biden-Harris campaign rhetoric.
A new YouGov poll released this week conclusively shows that the media’s and left’s deliberate undermining of a potential pre-presidential election Wuhan Coronavirus vaccine is having the intended impact on voters.
CBS News reports:
Skepticism about getting a coronavirus vaccine has grown since earlier this summer, and most voters say if a vaccine were made available this year, their first thought would be that it was rushed through without enough testing.
Just 21% of voters nationwide now say they would get a vaccine as soon as possible if one became available at no cost, down from 32% in late July. Most would consider it but would wait to see what happens to others before getting one.
Two-thirds of voters think if a vaccine were announced as soon as this year, their initial thought would be that it was rushed through without enough testing, rather than a scientific achievement that happened quickly. Among those who feel it would have been rushed, just 13% say they would get a vaccine for the coronavirus as soon as possible if one were available.
Here’s a deeper dive into the numbers:

Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden and his vice presidential running mate Sen. Kamala Harris have been among the many on the left and in the mainstream media who have worked to spin ridiculous conspiracy theories in recent weeks about the efficacy and effectiveness of a potential vaccine, suggesting without evidence that Trump has been deliberately putting pressure on scientists to skip safety protocols and approve a vaccine before Election Day.
In an interview last week, Dr. Anthony Fauci told Kaiser Health News he was “not concerned about political pressure” and said it’s possible a vaccine could be made available sooner rather than later if clinical trials showed results that were overwhelmingly positive.
The YouGov poll’s findings sparked a discussion on Twitter of just how the politicization of the vaccine by Democrats and journalists alike will have “horrible ripple effects” on down the line:
This is the most depressing thing I've seen in a while.
As a pro-vaccine doctor…this is going to have horrible ripple effects.
What a terrible politicization of the issue. https://t.co/VzWaghiLvR

In a nutshell, what Trump’s political opposition in the press and on the left are doing is feeding a dangerous Democrat-led anti-vaxxer movement not on the basis of science, but instead purely on the basis of their dogmatic belief in the Orange Man Bad narrative.
That tactic, in addition to their relentless efforts at discrediting Trump’s promotion of hydroxychloroquine as a possible virus treatment, lends more evidence to the suggestions by some that Democrats and the media – in spite of their “do something!” mantra – actually have not wanted a treatment or vaccine approved for the Wuhan virus until well after the election for political reasons.
This is a troubling avenue that an objective media would be very keen on exploring. Unfortunately, liberally biased reporters here are too busy actively feeding into the conspiracy theories about a “rushed” vaccine themselves to engage in actual investigative journalism on the matter.

I do not intend to get the vaccine as soon as it’s released, and that has nothing to do with either Democrat propaganda or anti-vaxx nonsense. I am not at high risk for the Wuhan virus, so I prefer to wait and see how the vaccine works out before taking it. Let other people be the guinea pigs. The benefit to me of early vaccination doesn’t outweigh the cost. But I hope my elderly mother gets it as soon as it’s available and her doctor approves it; she can’t afford to wait and see. For her the risk of a delay outweighs the risk of trying something new.
Got it in one Milhouse. As a physician, I will wait this one out and see what side effects may crop up. Also, one needs to factor in whether any mutations will be covered when, not if, they crop up. In general, flu shots in the Fall may not fully cover the Spring. Having also seen those DOD presentations on vaccines to “cure” aggressive personalities… I’ll avoid the G-23 Paxilon Hydrochlorate.
exactly right. That Pax was such a good idea, right?
It certainly explains Portland and Seattle.
This is a YouGov poll promoted by the far left CBS. Unlike an election there will never be a national plebiscite on the subject that can be used to check the accuracy of the poll. And we have had years of provably fake news from CBS and the rest of the Joseph Gobbles media, and NOW they are supposedly conducting an honest poll? Be careful of accepting it at face value.
How many of the polled are on unemployment so henceforth not so inclined to go back to work?
There is no way I will get a Covid-19 vaccine. They have been making the flue vaccine for decades and still can’t get it right.
I will take my chances.
The annual flu vaccine involves guessing which flu, of the hundreds that are known, we’re likely to get hit with next year. Because it takes the better part of a year to make, so they can’t wait and see.
So they look at what hit China last Northern winter, and what’s now hitting Australia in the Southern winter, and they make enough vaccine to immunize everyone against that flu, on the assumption that it will hit us next.
If they guess right it works very well. If they guess wrong, you’re immune to the flu you were vaccinated against, but not to the one that hits us that season, and it’s too late to make the vaccine for it now. By the time it’s ready flu season will be over for the year.
I read recently of Israeli research that may produce a vaccine that immunizes against almost all flus, so we can just get that once and be immune for life to whatever hits us in any year.
“I read recently of Israeli research that may produce a vaccine that immunizes against almost all flus”
I also read about that, who all of this, it is an incredibly important advancement.
Jews are a huge asset to all of humanity, because of their high intelligence. I have a hard time understanding all the hate directed towards them. It is irrational.
truly diminishes the incredible achievement of tens of thousands of career scientists and sacrifice of trial participants.
Huh? Trial participants are being sacrificed?
No, they’re sacrificing some of their safety by taking the risk.
The Anti-vax crowd has a long and deadly history behind them. Looks like they’ve found a new nest to foul in the Democrats.
Plenty of people won’t get it right away because we now know that (for most of us) the actual virus isn’t nearly as big a deal as was thought a few months ago. Grandma and your diabetic cousin should probably get it though.
Imagine the logic of these jokers promoting the ‘regular’ flu vaccine like crazy and being an anti-vaxer for the Covid vaccine? The goal is probably to keep cities empty, keep people unemployed and keep the fear turned up to 11. Bah!
Their “goal is …to keep cities empty, keep people unemployed and keep the fear turned up to 11.”
FIFY
I’d like to see the breakdown by party, especially independents.
The Dhimmi-crats’ self-serving and opportunistic propaganda, feeding pessimism and cynicism. I’m sure we’re all incredibly shocked that these reprobates would stoop to such tactics, to seize power.
These idiots are so undeserving and unworthy of wielding power — people who support these totalitarian snakes need to wake up and smell the coffee. All that they are peddling are lies, fear and division.
Polls from C-BS BS BS BS BS are 100% BS……….
The goal of modern polling is to shape public opinion not reflect it.
I decided that was the case, and then voted for Trump. I am very pleased with the outcome, and looking forward to see him really stick it the dim-commies.
DROP this on C-BS.

The question in my mind is: will the Democrats succeed in delaying a vaccine until after the election to hurt Trump and to help Biden. If the a vaccine is made available and proves to be a real success in trials, this propaganda attempt won’t matter. However, if they can negotiate a delay with a drug company, they can use that to great effect.
PS: I regularly participate in YouGov polls. They generally seem well constructed, and not too biased.
I am a Trump voter, hesitantly 4 years ago but happily now. And I will not get the vaccine. I do not trust the FDA. Period.
I don’t want even the yearly flu shot which I could get for free.
‘fraid it’s got lots of Bill Gate’s Cooties!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I cannot tell if you are mocking….
LOL
And you stated that with a straight face!
It is Pharma and Bio that you should distrust, FDA is just their stooge.
exactly. But either way, I do not believe the FDA
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Ua-WVg1SsA
It will magically be “not rushed” after the election.
Looks like the majority of people can occasionally see the obvious. What they’re doing with these “vaccines” is the very definition of “rushing through”, and they’re not making any bones about it.
Does that mean they won’t give us the great and amazing “Boneless Vaccines?????”
C’mon, man! Only 2.3% of the vaccine recipients will develop the “boneless” side effect!
FDA is not exactly known for recklessness, but is well known for excessive caution. With the predictable result that useful treatments are often delayed for years.
Because, FDA is a bureaucracy. And all bureaucrats understand that it’s always going to be safer to wait “just a little bit longer” than to take any risk at all.
Because, no bureaucrat ever got fired for delaying some treatment (no matter the cost in lives and suffering). But bureaucrats can always get fired for not waiting if something goes wrong.
A rational approach is always to weigh potential benefits against risk, but bureaucratic incentives do not support this. They always support waiting a little longer, demanding a little more data, regardless of the human cost of doing so.
And they always will. In this environment, a push to accept even tiny risks in return for large benefits is always going to be an uphill battle.
So if Pres. Trump is applying some pressure to get moving, that’s fine with me. The alternative is waiting another five or seven or ten years. And who knows if we will still have an economy (or a country) if we continue social-distancing, learning virtually, and essentially all large indoor public venues remain closed.
We’ve already had “elective” medical procedures delayed, we’ve already had lasting educational consequences of closing K-12 schools, we’ve already had many thousands of small businesses fail and thousands thrown out of work. Not to mention co-morbidities such as higher-than-normal rates of domestic violence. It’s not as if the status-quo has no costs; to the contrary, the costs are massive.
(Of course, it’s also not as if journalists, even if they were politically neutral, have any real understanding of statistics or science or any of that. The only people with less knowledge of science than journalists are probably education majors, but then they’re mostly ignorant of anything other than fashionable nonsense.)
In this era, every argument is reduced to name calling. In this case, it is “anti-vaxxer”.
Not all vaccines are the same. Some are likely beneficial and many are not. It is certainly ignorant to group all vaccines under the same label.
In America, the covid vaccines use a mRNA technique. In 30 to 40 tries, all mRNA vaccines gave over half the recipients, in some cases 100% of them, an auto-immune disease. There has never been a successful mRNA vaccine.
I’ll take my chances with covid.
The vaccine Trump is espousing is an mRNA vaccine too? A 50+% chance of an autoimmune disease sounds far more dangerous than exposure to covid-19.
My urologist’s office has gone so far they have “new” and “used” pen cups. If you use a pen to fill out forms, you must take it from the new and put it in the used cup. Plus mandatory masks of course, which I fully expect to continue being required pretty much forever no matter what happens to the government mask mandates.
I have seen Trump back 2. Yes, they are both mRNA. Only China has a regular DNA vaccine, from what I have heard. The problem with it, is if covid mutates then the DNA vaccine doesn’t protect.
Covid has came and went, unless it is a virus from some science fiction novel. The USA has herd immunity, and covid won’t be back for several years as anything significant.
My chiro also has “sanitized” and “used” pen containers. I ALWAYS look right at the receptionist and take from the “used” container. She laughs and says I am not the only one.
Wasn’t the media cheerleading for “vaccine, now” before they knew it might happen before the election? I assume they would have hung Trump for the lack of a vaccine. Of course once that changed Trump cannot have a win, at anything, so they reversed tack and attack Trump for the vaccine being dangerous.
Push-poll.
My first thought was not one that CBS News had approved.
This is a useless way to predict the future.
Fortunately, there are viable alternatives, early treatments, to mitigate infection and disease progression.
Harris/Biden are down under mad.

Sky News host Paul Murrays says the Victorian authorities have been practicing hypocrisy in the way they treated the Black Lives Matter protests as opposed to their treatment of potential anti-lockdown protests.
A Victorian woman on Wednesday was arrested in front of her children on charges of ‘incitement’ after allegedly organising an anti-lockdown protest.
Assistant commissioner Luke Cornelius said on Thursday he supported the action of the police who arrested the woman, adding people who were planning to protest Daniel Andrews were “selfish”.
“Be assured, we’ll be ready for you, we’ll be ready for you not only in the city, but when you leave home and hop on public transport or use other means to get to the city,” Mr Cornelius said.
Mr Murray said the police had a “completely different attitude” to the Black Lives Matter protests.
Black lives matter activists posted their intent to protest on Facebook and 46,000 people registered interest, they even took press conferences, yet no one was arrested.
Not only did the Victoria police not arrests the BLM protestors, they expressed their intention to support the community by “giving voice to their concerns and their protest”.
“Both protests are pointless because they shouldn’t be happening during a pandemic,” Mr Murray said.
“One rule for them, one rule for everyone else – and the only difference: wokeness.”

the results seem to indicate we are a country of sheep. Science has no place here.
It’s not just Democrats. There’s no damn way I’m taking the vaccine with as much politics and chicanery going on surrounding it. Did you not watch the documentary, PLANDEMIC?
Sixth grade health class was a very long time ago but not forgotten.
What concerns me is how much false credibility this will give the anti-vaxx morons. If they frighten people into not getting any vaccinations for any disease, such as MMR and smallpox, we will all suffer the consequences of their foolishness.
As for me, I’ll continue with the flu shots every fall as in the past ~50 years along with others that will prompt my body to make antibodies for diseases that, at my age, would be very serious. I will also pay more attention to medical professionals than to the easily excited lay people, especially the “journalists” who seem to know very little about their subjects but write about them anyway.
Has anybody noticed that polio isn’t such a problem as in the past? Why, I wonder, might that be?
.
A CBS poll? Give me a break.
I don’t know what adverse reactions the anti-vaxx conspiracists have prepared everyone for, but the short answer is VACCINES DON’T CAUSE ADVERSE REACTIONS IN THE OVERWHELMING MAJORITY OF THE POPULATION. Sorry, for the all caps, but really needed to emphasize that. Mild swelling at an injection site, temporary drowsiness, or even a mild cold are not “severe” reactions compared to being hooked up to a ventilator and needing a kidney transplant (to name a few of the worst possible Covid symptoms). By the most recent count, there are 6 vaccine candidates in Stage 3 trials with the FDA. That means they have ruled out severe reactions already, and they are studying how effective they are in large scale human trials. Stage 4 is basically deploying the vaccine. I know 9/11 is international conspiracy day, but do not let the silly anti-science mindset of anti-vaxxers pollute your otherwise reasonable minds.
