AOC brags that anti-Trump TikTok users sabotaged Trump rally sign-up
So election sabotage is now a good thing? Good to know.
I tend to avoid writing about socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (NY) because I find her intensely off-putting on any number of levels. But her bizarre victory dance over the questionable claim that TikTok users sabotaged President Trump’s Tulsa rally seems worth addressing.
I did initially find it odd that there were so many empty seats at the rally, and I was a bit concerned about it until, that is, AOC and her ilk began their bragging about cratering attendance with a ticket claim scheme.
Actually you just got ROCKED by teens on TikTok who flooded the Trump campaign w/ fake ticket reservations & tricked you into believing a million people wanted your white supremacist open mic enough to pack an arena during COVID
Shout out to Zoomers. Y’all make me so proud. ☺️ https://t.co/jGrp5bSZ9T

So AOC is celebrating foreign election interference now?

Not only did people likely stay away due to the media returning to their Wuhan coronavirus fear-mongering and genuine concerns about violent leftist rioters showing up, but add in the forecast of “torrential thunderstorms in 95-degree heat.”
I’m not sure how many Trump supporters felt that their presence would add that much given the touted expected turnout of a million people.
According to reports, there was a social media campaign to bloat the ticket claims in the hopes of damaging rally attendance and thereby damaging or embarrassing Trump.
U.S. President Donald Trump’s campaign rally in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on Saturday hosted a fraction of the expected supporters. Some of the no-shows may have been teenagers who decided to RSVP with no intention of attending.
Over the past few days, people who oppose Trump organized efforts on social-media apps TikTok, Instagram and Twitter to sign up for the rally, sometimes with fake names or burner email accounts. The message spread among teens, especially fans of Korean pop music, who have pivoted their networks to political causes recently.
. . . . It’s impossible to know how many of the no-shows at the rally can be attributed to the viral effort. Trump boasted nearly 1 million signups, far beyond the capacity of the Bank of Oklahoma Center, which has 19,000 seats. The president was planning to address overflow crowds at a stage outside the arena, but there was no need. Only a few thousand people showed up — an outcome the campaign attributed to “radical protesters, fueled by a week of apocalyptic media coverage,” according to a tweet by Brad Parscale, Trump’s campaign manager.
Still, online, the opposition declared victory. “My 16 year old daughter and her friends in Park City Utah have hundreds of tickets,” Steve Schmidt, a political strategist who worked for President George W. Bush and Senator John McCain, wrote on Twitter. “You have been rolled by America’s teens.” Other parents’ posts also made similar claims.
. . . . It wasn’t just young people. Mary Jo Laupp, who calls herself a TikTok Grandma, said the rally was “a slap in the face to the Black community.” She told followers the campaign was offering two free tickets per cell phone number, and advised people to sign up and then just reply “STOP” to the text messages. Her post was liked 704,500 times and shared 135,000 times.
The Trump campaign is pushing back against this narrative.

Byron York noted that the left’s giddiness at their campaign sabotage will be short-lived. Turnabout, after all, is deemed fair play by many people.
When people pull off a trick, they can't resist bragging about it. In future, Trump campaign will have to be more careful. Of course, Biden will, too. 1/4 https://t.co/wYHRpag8yp pic.twitter.com/7IGAaw3d0J

Obviously, Trump will have to expect, work around, this sort of mischief throughout campaign. And after Saturday night, Biden will, too. 4/4 End.

Further, this gleeful response from the left will only serve to help the president, a fact noted by leftist Michael Moore.
“Don’t get all smug laughing at these Bubbas in Tulsa today & snickering over how many of them are going to come down with Covid-19,” wrote Moore in an Instagram caption on Saturday. “They live, eat and breathe Trump — and none of us do that with Joe Biden. We’re counting on Hatred of Trump – not love of Biden – to win the day. Is that how you really think — hate beats love? Like, the more we ply our neighbor’s hatred of Trump, that’s the ticket to win?”
“Because deep down we know there’s no massive, intense love of Joe Biden,” admitted Moore, who predicted in July 2016 that Donald Trump would defeat Hillary Clinton.
“They started lining up on Tues in Tulsa for Trump’s rally today. 100,000 are expected!” said Moore. “Trump has lost none of his base and they are more rabid than ever. Sleeping on the sidewalk for five nights just to get in to see Trump? THAT is commitment.”
“Do not take Trump for granted. Don’t think he can’t win. Don’t get all cocky telling everyone there’s no way he’s winning the White House because, frankly, you sound a lot like yourself four years ago,” Moore warned his followers.
“I have a question I want you to answer, and I ask you to answer me honestly: ‘How many people would line up for five days just to hear Joe Biden talk?’ 12? 5? None?” inquired Moore.
. . . . Moore added that “the candidate who inspires the most people in the swing states to excitedly get to the polls” is the one who wins the White House.
Whatever the reports from the anti-Trump media, it appears that the people at the rally were inspired, excited, and enthusiastic.

The important point from this incident is that it’s a warning shot across the bow of the Trump campaign.
What the Communists and their useful idiots did to the rally is NOTHING compared to what they’ll do before the election. Trump et al had better be ready to counter it and respond with overwhelming force, figuratively speaking, of course.
America’s enemies are not fooling around. They never were. But now they think that our country’s destruction is within their reach, and they will stop at nothing to complete it. Either we stop them, or they stop us. I wish it were otherwise.
You mean like use mail-in ballots to change election results?
Guess what these teens just proved!
Yep. Cheaters in the small things are cheaters in the large too.
That said, I’m win Scott on this. The real issue is going to be the Democrat coup that will follow the Trump victory. They’re going after jobs now, but they will be going after heads by November.
If it helps, 6.7 million watched his OK rally online, including yours truly. This means while they sabotaged his ticket sales, they could ruin his online presence.
There were over 6 million who watched the rally on line and TV. That doesn’t sound insignificant to me.
AOC is not a smart person. I pity her for her stupidity, but despise her politics.
I hope she gets a huge turn out against her in her primary, but the idiots in her district will probably turn out in low numbers/ or mail in in low numbers, and she will keep her seat.
Spot on!
Sandy is “Stupid Stupid Stupid.”

Democratic gerrymandering? #HateLovesAbortion
I’m not worried about the turn-out. It was the first one in a long time, weather issues, protesters, and of course the hassle of the virus impacted this one. I also put no stock in AOC and her merry band of troublemakers since you don’t need a ticket to go to the rally. You just have to show up which is why people camp for 3-5 days waiting in line.
I do think though that on the next rally we will see a rebound as Trump supporters have something to prove to the leftist media. That being Trump isn’t losing support. I expect the next rally will be overflowing like crazy.
I also expect the Trump team to do a better job in regards to protestors and checking people in to the rally.
The only problems were caused by the RINO mayor.
For those who don’t know – the Tulsa Mayor called a curfew, so the law-abiding Trump supporters had to leave their space in line. Although it was lifted the next day, it probably put a damper on the festivities. If I remember correctly, if he didn’t lift it, it would have impacted the rally since it was starting after 7pm. And 250 NG troops were also called upon for crowd control.
I live in the OKC area. Between my age, the threat of violence, the increase in cases in the youngster groups in both OK & Tulsa counties, the heat, the storms, and the drive of 90+ miles, I opted to stay home and watch on TV.
BTW, when the state started showing the age groups in their reports, the intensity went from the oldest to the youngest groups and the 65+ was 33% of the cases and the 18-34 group was a mere 17.5% (as of 4-10-2020). As of today, the 18-34 group is 32% of the cases (3,410) and the 65+ is 18% of the cases (1,981). It’s quite a switch.
I check the daily changes for the state, county, city, and zip and make my plans for the day/week. Tomorrow may be a grocery day to restock for a few weeks of being careful.
I wonder if the asymptomatic cases are greater than reported. And, if a young person is feeling so-so, would their first thought be to get tested? If they were tested & positive, would they remain isolated or think it was a great way to get more people sick? We may be getting herd immunity faster than we think.
Is that a bad thing for the younger crowd to get over the virus while the rest of us older folks are still cautious about exposure?
Greetings Liz,
I really appreciated this video posted by Tony Robbins – an interview of Nobel laureate and Stanford professor Dr. Michael Levitt. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sEbcs37aaI0
Most eye opening to me, is the simple explanation of the “death rate” … the numbers tossed around in the media often take the number of deaths divided by the number of people who sought medical help for Covid.
Levitt argued, rightly I believe, that the more accurate “death rate” (fatality rate) counting method was ALL people with the Covid virus, INCLUDING asymptomatic, should be the ‘denominator’ and if we use that, the fatality rate is on par with the annual flu death rate. There are some stunning differences in the “death rate” where some countries use the ‘admitted’ subset, and others use the gross number (asymptomatic).
I’ve had that argument with some of my liberal musician friends (aside: why do musicians always seem to be rabid liberals?) and failed to get through to them UNTIL I pointed out the ONLY difference in what we both were claiming was fact, was the denominator. We were using the same death numbers, but they used the ‘sought medical help / admission’ number where I used the gross number which includes asymptomatic infections. When they finally saw the difference, they still insisted I was using the wrong number. Apparently because AS we continue testing and identifying asymptomatic infections, the “death rate” number will continue to go down. Clearly they like the higher number because it’s better for smearing Trump.
Suffice to say, they tire me and I need new friends. 😉
“why do musicians always seem to be rabid liberals?” See Scott Adams (you probably already have).
“When they finally saw the difference, they still insisted I was using the wrong number.” See Scott Adams again. Textbook example of Confirmation Bias. Baked into human nature.
Scott Adams is a knowledgeable atheist who, unlike most, hasn’t completely lost his mind. “How to Win Bigly” is very informative. But his rejection of Christianity is irrational (as I’m sure he would accept as a possible explanation).
Thanks G. Loved Dilbert when I was a lowly cube rat. It was like Scott was a fly on the wall in our office. 😉
His view on Christianity wouldn’t surprise me. It’s an experiential thing and having not experienced Christ, there’d be no cause for him to believe. As this old world is going lately, the gist of my prayers have been simply “Let there be light!” and “Give everyone who rails against You a Damascus road experience.” I’m thankful my experience was more merciful than that – and at a young age. Even so, it involved the opening of my eyes to see.
“It was like Scott was a fly on the wall in our office.” Precisely my experience!
Different people realize the truth of the Gospel differently. It was given to me in a moment of clarity while I was walking.
For those who are already believers, I recommend R.C. Sproul’s “Defending Your Faith”, available on DVD, or audio and video on the Internet.
I ain’t seen no empty seats at all.
Saw someone comment some in the nose bleed section, but I did not see any there either myself.

All they did was scare more Democrats into the Trump Camp.

“You have been rolled by America’s teens.”
Not unless they can use America’s teens to rig the actual vote.
Even if this puerile plot was genuine, it would be stupid even beyond AOC levels to publicize it. That just advertises that they’re starting to realize they can’t conceivably win 2020 by honest means, so are trying to normalize the idea that they can—and should—attempt to win crookedly. Of course we all suspect that they’ll try to do this, but this may be the first time that it’s been admitted.
But, since it’s terminally stupid to brag about it if it’s a real tactic, I suspect it never happened. As a con, it’s only 110% obvious, so I don’t believe that nobody setting up the ticket scheme implemented the usual ways to block it.
There was a concerted effort to stop/prevent the rally from happening right up until the last minute, that definitely had an effect. There was even a lawsuit here in Oklahoma to try and force the rally to follow social distancing and mask wearing guidelines. That thankfully got shot down. The weather actually cooperated, though I wouldn’t have minded some rain (we need it). What protests we had also thankfully remained just that, protests. While they did get a little rowdy and temporarily blocked things in one area there were no riots, no wide scale violence and destruction. So despite the low turnout it was actually a pretty good rally and evening. I do think Trump’s next rally will be bigger and better attended, this was essentially a trial run on how to get things going again given the turmoil of the past few months. You can bet Team Trump will be better prepared for whatever disruption attempts the left make at the next rally wherever it’s held!
Truthfully, they should have been better prepared for this rally. Didn’t take a Rock scientist to figure out the thugs would be there looking for a fight
No excuses
None accepted, they were not fully prepared
The Tulsa Mayor called for a curfew which put a damper on the activity at the site. And people within driving distance may have backed down on attending since they would have to drive back home or try to locate a hotel room.
Of course all we are talking about is the overflow crowd that is outside after the indoors venue is full.
Have hotels opened back up? I honestly don’t know. If local hotels still aren’t accepting guests that might be another reason for the low turnout. Driving through Tulsa is usually not that bad, in fact as far as finding your way around Tulsa is actually one of the easiest cities I’ve gone through for that. Very grid like and consistent street names throughout their length through the city. Most of the highways are 4 to 6 lanes, with some 8 along portions of them, so if a whole lot of people had shown things would have gotten congested for a while. I should add I don’t drive much through Tulsa anymore, usually just to go visit family or if I’m traveling to some event. I’m a little ways NE of Tulsa and usually Owasso, which has really grown since 2000, is as far south as I’ll go if I’m just doing basic things like shopping, just don’t need to go as far as Tulsa for most of my needs anymore.
It was t “small”, just not as large as his others
People are still really scared of the China virus, of course I am next to Austin but 60% of the people still wear masks at stores and Home Depot has a big sign trying to enforce mask wearing… I did not
And truthfully peole don’t want to be beat up or worse and I saw the videos, those Antifa and BLM were nuts and the National Guard didn’t even have weapons . At one point the Trump supporters had to protect them from the thugs.
No one want a to take their kids to this
This should have never happened. Trump and OK had time to set it up so the Supporters didn’t have to walk into the thugs
They could have been easily blocked off for safe passage of Trump supporters
I don’t think people will come in masses again until they know that Trump and the organizers are going to keep them safe.
That was ALL the Never Trumpets and RINOS fault.
They are soley to blame.
Never Trumpets is what the COMMUNIST Chinese software changed it to after it was properly spelled “Never Trumpers,” Oy!
Maybe Trump’s people should work to find a venue that doesn’t require attendees to be unarmed to enter the grounds. That would be fun to watch as the media goes into conniptions and the black shirts melt away.
TikTok is used by China as a spying vehicle. Saw an article, probably Fox or Rantingly, where the Naval Intelligence was saying something to that effect last week.
And it isn’t like it isn’t known. Which means democrats are in bed with a foreign country trying to steal the elections. So we should demand an investigation, but the dems will investigate themselves and find themselves innocent.
Show up and vote against the communists of the dem party.

There’s a photo of Biden in what looks like an insulated aircraft hanger, with half a dozen people on folding chairs, each centered within a painted “social distancing” ring – and still there are empty chairs.
Read elsewhere the family of the late Tom Petty pitched a fit over the Trump campaign using the song “I Won’t Back Down” in spite of paying applicable licensing fees. Anyway – after seeing that pathetic Biden rally photo, I wondered whether the rights-holder of “Taps” would be issuing a cease and desist order against the Biden campaign?!?
So have the NY D’s found a primary challenger for AOC yet, or drawn out her district? She’s such a popular girl with the other D reps.
The primary is this Tuesday.
Redistricting happens after the census results are in and NY finds out how many seats it gets in the new congress.
Thanks Milhouse.
Didn’t you mean “…finds out how many seats it loses…”?
It’s not the ones it loses that matter, it’s the ones it still gets. They’re the ones that need to be apportioned.

She knows there wasn’t a cap on the total number of tickets that could be offered, right? Them registering couldn’t keep anyone out.
I and a lot of other people registered with no intent of going, just to show support. Why is it more reasonable to think it was trolls registering rather than others who wanted to give the president a vote of confidence? It’s logical for supporters who can’t go to still register, not so logical for trolls who aren’t blocking anyone to do so. What do they accomplish other than giving the Trump campaign a verified phone number (required to register a ticket)?
The Screaming D’s deployed early, again.
They still haven’t figured out that they’ve been delpoying their “active measures” early. Now it looks like they won’t figure that out for this election cycle.
Now we know. Don’t trust any number from outside operations, or any anonymous transaction. Also, they’ll try to interfere with out operations any way they can, so bull through. Voting this time round will be an expedition, not a quick trip — they’ll make it as hard as they can. Plan on that.

Only a few thousand people showed up
Please define “a few”. Because the place looked at least 1/2 full to me, and that translates to ~10,000 people. And “10” is NOT “a few”.
I’d be interested to find out the legal beagles’ opinions on Charles Glasser’s idea about “the tort of ‘intentional interference with prospective economic advantage.'”
1. That tort only exists in California, not in Oklahoma.
2. There was no economic advantage to be had, so nothing to interfere with.
3. Attempts to get people fired don’t qualify for this tort because they’re pure advocacy. It isn’t and can’t be illegal to simply persuade someone’s boss to fire them. The first amendment absolutely protects all advocacy. Therefore “Intentional Interference” requires “unlawful or wrongful means”.
Unless, of course, you can cast that advocacy as “hate speech,” and then suddenly you’re back in the game.
Say, aren’t you coming up for reelection? Holding any rallies soon?
Some where, Donald Segretti is hoping that everybody forgets his name.
So she endorses fraud? Shocked that she doesn’t see the parallel to voter fraud.
Dems better be careful what they start. If turned around, this kind of attack could have even more substantial impacts on the tens of Biden attendees.
Just think, in 2024 she’ll be old enough to run for president.
Some commenters here are implying that the leftists should be concerned that conservatives will respond in kind. That seems unlikely to me because, unlike most leftists, the vast majority of conservatives are decent people who do not adopt unethical means. They are the BAMN crowd. We’re not.
I think it’s time for Trump to dump the ‘ticket’ business and just let folks who show up into the venue.
Newsweek reports that “Oklahoma Reports Highest Ever Daily COVID-19 Cases After Trump Tulsa Rally”
Here, I thought it took 3 to 14 days for SARS-COv2 to incubate, but with Trump rally goers, it seems 1-2 days is enough.
119,615 total US COVID deaths.
Normally, 119,615 die every 15 days without COVID-19
119,615 is 10.96% of all deaths since 6-Feb-2020 (1st reported COVID death)
Newsweek started writing that lie 2 weeks ago.
The OK Covid site https://coronavirus.health.ok.gov/ has a graph of cases by date of onset of symptoms. If the person has no symptoms, then the date of the test is used.
As of 6/22, there are only 7 cases reported for 6/20, so there is no impact noted from the Trump rally. We had 218 cases reported today, but Monday is generally a slow day for reporting. The peak days so far are 6/10 and 6/16 which would be related to the various protests in Tulsa & OKC, as well as general re-opening.
The younger crowd continues to lead the case numbers.
I should clarify the comment in that there is no immediate surge post-rally and I assume that the 7 reported cases relate to asymptomatic testing.
I know that it was reported that 6 campaign workers tested positive, but I’m not sure if those tests get counted in OK numbers or their home state numbers. The two Utah Jazz cases were initially reported as OK-non resident and then I’m not sure what happened to the case count.
So, if there was an issue with the rally, the 6/20 should increase within a week or so. But, the rally numbers can be lumped in with the protests, regular re-opening issues, as well as possible increased cases at LTC facilities, prisons, and large business (Whirlpool in Tulsa and meat packing in Guymon).
Oh, Comanche County has moved into the top 5 counties. Comanche County is where Ft. Sill is located. I think cases on bases are recorded as “military” and not attached to the state. But, the locals would be included in the county numbers.
Check out https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/country/us/ to see that there are separate numbers for VA, military, federal prisons, and Navajo Nation. Bit you have to wonder if there is some double counting going on….
Who would have thought that 48 years after Watergate, the Democrats would be bragging about dirty tricks?
What’s funny is that the left has a absolutely no idea how the rallies work. When these morons book a ticket that is all they are booking.
To actually stop someone front getting a seat at the rally the liberal has to be present to take that seat as these rallies are first in first serves (how else so you think they got to a million tickets ??).
What AOC has done with her crowing is declared it open season on the rallies and I guarantee you conservatives will be a hell of a lot more creative than Democrats when its the Democrats turn ?
I really cannot believe how stupid this woman is. Pretty much her only saving grace is a spectacular rack.
And….isn’t the reservation system more of a data collection process?
I think they will check the “reservations” closely to adjust their numbers, figure out how to filter for the bad ones, etc.
But, it would be sweet of the Trump campaign slams the fake replies with hourly email blasts.
Even those are fake.
Fake boobs, for a big boob.
Snark.
Hope I didn’t offend any fake boobs…….
So ‘any old C’ supports chi-com interference in the upcoming 2020 Presidential election? Come 2024, that’s going to sting. If she’s still around which is highly unlikely.
Did you see?
Sandy declared herself black today.
How Racist.
Mark my words, AOC becomes the answer to a trivia question when she loses her primary tomorrow.
If the ticket reservation scams were real there’s a simple fix for the problem: charge a nominal admission fee, like $2. You want to reserve 500 tickets? Ok, that will be $1,000 please. That’s a large enough sum of money to deter quite a few people. Teenagers are unlikely to have that laying around, for example.
