Mick Mulvaney will now be the United States Special Envoy for Northern Ireland.
President Donald Trump chose Rep. Mark Meadows (R-NC) as his new chief of staff.
Meadows replaces acting chief of staff Mick Mulvaney.
I am pleased to announce that Congressman Mark Meadows will become White House Chief of Staff. I have long known and worked with Mark, and the relationship is a very good one….

Great, so his seat may possibly be vacant until the November election. I don’t know if there’s enough time for a special election to fill the vacancy.
His hand-picked replacement failed to win the nomination and is in a runoff. So the GOP has to waste two months fighting each other over the nomination instead of fighting the Dems for the seat.
The NC District 11 seat will likely swing to the Dems, thanks in large part to redistricting, which now includes loony left Buncombe County (Asheville). I think that was part of Meadows’ decision to retire anyway after this term, since it was going to be a hard battle.
Maybe we can hold it. Meadows won in 2018 by 62,000 votes, but I’m worried. NC District 11 is a purple district in an increasing purple state.
Meadows had already announced his retirement.
Right, which would mean he would fulfill his term. Taking a job in the administration would mean that he would vacate his seat now.
Dang, I didn’t think of that! We have a runoff election for Meadows’ seat coming up on May 12th. Maybe a special election could be held then?
I don’t see what difference it makes if Meadows’ seat is empty.
Pelosi isn’t exactly allowing any GOP initiatives to go forward.
It means that I have no representation in Congress since I live in his district.
I thought Meadows won his last election handily. Don’t know the size and how many voted, but that 62k you state maybe represents a 15% margin or something? That’s what I remember. Hard to imagine Biden at the top of the D ticket will drastically change that ration. Or did the redistricting just start?
The redistricting goes into effect this election.
PDJT in 2016 was a bull in a china shop and a lot of riffraff slipped through the cracks. PDJT 2020 is going to be a WRECKING BALL equipped with 360° surgical lasers. The riffraff has been culled and a finely tuned political juggernaut has emerged, battle hardened, ready to MAGA/KAG for generations to come. The Best is Yet to Come.
Lessons learned. Commies culled. Yep, 2nd term will be even better.
Perfect. We only have this damn virus to worry about.
Have a Corona and chill.
LOL
I spoke with Mark Meadows during the August recess after he had filed his Motion to get Boehner out. Guess that was in 2013?
Anyway, I asked him about deportations, and he said there was “no appetite” in Congress for deportations or mass deportations. Can’t remember how expressed.
In any event, this just confirms what we see: no matter how many illegal aliens invade us – an invasion which Congress is duty bound to prevent – Congress refuses to do its duty to have them deported.
So, whatever. When protection of America’s cultural and civic integrity commences, I’ll be impressed.
NOT impressed right now.
Get rid of Boehner, get Ryan? BIG BIG improvement.
