Its the f***kin Mountain Pose & less than half of them can get their arms up.

Lazy bastards.

The ONLY law the Loopey, Looney Left® ain’t in danger of forcing upon us is one regulating the number, location and type of bumper stickers one can put on a single vehicle. Were these things a primary conservative expressive, there would certainly be… a limit of two, not to exceed the dimensions described in Article XIX, except as approved by the Commissioner and/or his/her designee, specifically as it pertains to the aforementioned in Article I, Sec. 2, (a.) “Exceptions”; whereas…

I have my own law which I apply to both sides of the political spectrum. I take 5 points off my estimate of their IQ for the third bumper sticker, 10 for the fourth, 15 for the fifth, etc. etc. Too many bumper stickers is a sure sign the car belongs to the kind of fanatic who does their cause more harm than good.

TrooperJohnSmith in reply to NC Mountain Girl. | August 6, 2012 at 5:48 pm

That might always apply. Up north of here, in Deep East Texas, bumper stickers are used in place of, or in addition to, ornamental duct tape, to fix or hold on hold fenders, trim, tail light lenses and grills. Parts of Nawth Cah’lina can’t be that different. 😆

I’ll bite. What are those people on the beach doing? Praying to Gaia?

TrooperJohnSmith in reply to snopercod. | August 6, 2012 at 8:51 am

They are up from Manhattan for da summah, summoning the Viking god, Odin, to wash away those pot leaf tattoos they got while matriculated at CCNY.

    nordic_prince in reply to snopercod. | August 6, 2012 at 9:27 am

I, too, was wondering what on earth they were doing. And they probably think Christians are weird….

Yoga, which I enjoy, though I am not narcissistic enough to feel comfortable doing it anywhere beyond the yoga studio…

HEY EVERYONE LOOK HOW MUCH SMARTER THAN YOU I AM!! I PUT STICKERS ALL OVER THE BACK OF MY CAR!! READ THESE STICKERS YOU MORON!! READ THEM AND KNOW THAT I AM SUPERIOR TO YOU IN ALL WAYS YOU MORON!! HEY!! HEY!! HEY!! HEY!! HEY!! HEY!! HEY!! HEY!!

Cassandra Lite in reply to punfundit. | August 6, 2012 at 10:35 am

Except for the fact that bumper stickers indicate someone who can’t think straight. Or clearly.

“God, protect me from your followers” contradicts the one with the five religious icons.

Meanwhile, “Buy local” is hilariously contradicted by the Corolla, which is made in about a dozen other countries…but not the U.S. Even better, the one about thousands of children who will “die of starvation today” presumably calls for…shipping food to them…thousands of miles away.

LukeHandCool in reply to Cassandra Lite. | August 6, 2012 at 10:58 am

You guys are reading too much into it.

Try just to appreciate it for it’s aesthetic beauty.

Cassandra Lite in reply to LukeHandCool. | August 6, 2012 at 11:15 am

I think that’s what the owner says to the guy who comes to buy the used Corolla and complains that there was nothing in the ad about the car being slathered in fatuous homilies: “Hey, just try to appreciate…”

LukeHandCool in reply to Cassandra Lite. | August 6, 2012 at 11:21 am

There’s probably $50 worth of stickers there that the buyer would be getting. They don’t come with extras like that from the dealer. He should point that out. As well as the aesthetic beauty.

Juba Doobai! in reply to Cassandra Lite. | August 6, 2012 at 11:29 am

No contradiction. The five icons spells out what he thinks of religion (not that Islam is a religion): TOXIC.

Doug Wright in reply to Cassandra Lite. | August 6, 2012 at 1:21 pm

Well, except that Corolla’s are manufactured in Mississippi, which while under some protests, is in the USA; 1861 to 1865 excepted. Yeah, the engine and tranny probably imported but still … Yeah, just a nit still an important one.

      Cheers and ever onward! 😉

We have the same saying about Boulder, CO.

Now showing: Harry Beach meets Sally Bumper – the latest liberal flick featuring hot coal walkers, sweat tent people and ‘plastered’ Ithacians. Chai tea will be served during viewing.

punfundit in reply to Sally Paradise. | August 6, 2012 at 11:32 am

“Chai tea” is redundant, but these people probably don’t know that. They probably say “thank you!” in the slow, condescending voice one reserves for children to whichever English-as-a-second-language immigrant happens to be serving them at a restaurant.

David Yotham | August 6, 2012 at 8:33 am

What are they DOING on the beach? Yoga? Getting ready to get nekkid? Airing out their pits? Enquiring minds want to know!

TrooperJohnSmith | August 6, 2012 at 8:36 am

Voltaire had his Paris. Jacobson has his Ithaca. But with iron, ye sharpen iron…

And from what I hear, Odysseus shows up around your neck of the woods, now and again.

The bumper sticker to the lower left is very telling.

Honey Badger | August 6, 2012 at 8:58 am

The one that always gets me is “don’t pray in my school, and I won’t think in your church”. Such BS, as of course, no one is compelled to go to church, and no one should be prohibited from praying in school. That’s how I passed a few classes, a wing and a prayer! Further it demonstrates the WORST condescending and fraudulent conception of religion, as a no thought experience. Talk about not having a clue… if you aren’t thinking in church, you are doing it wrong.

TrooperJohnSmith in reply to Honey Badger. | August 6, 2012 at 9:05 am

    Here is the difference:

To a conservative, a bumper sticker is a ha-ha moment.

To a Progressocrat, a bumper sticker is an extension of their identity, an expression of self-worth.

A conservative with a ton of bumper stickers is saying, “I’m a crazy motherf*cker!”

A Progressocrat with a ton of bumper stickers is saying, “I’m an intelligent, superior motherf*cker!”

To quote Tonto, “That heap big difference kemosabe.”

nordic_prince in reply to Honey Badger. | August 6, 2012 at 9:28 am

They promise not to think in church – the irony is that they don’t think anywhere else, either.

Irony Alert: “Support Small Farmers EVERYWHERE; Buy Local. Buy Fair.”

Have these idiots read the food safety law written by Chuckie Shooma? This is the law used to arrest small farmers for selling dangerous things like non-pasteurized whole milk. It’s the same laws holding mom and pop to the same ‘manufacturing standards’ as ADM and the other mega agro-businesses.

Prog on Prog violence is so ugly justice.

Ithaca is a different kind of place. They have their own currency …. Ithaca dollars. I kid you not.

NY law states that the women can go topless on any beach in the state – just like men. A few years ago I saw a photo of a bunch of topless woman posing at Stewart Park – including the Ithaca Chief of Police – who was a woman.

JP in reply to walls. | August 6, 2012 at 10:00 am

Well, these women have a right..and hopefully they have a left, also.

Yeah, yeah..enough frivolity. Noticed the “I (heart) my Maltese”..Deep fried or BBQ’d?

    pssstt, don’t let #44 know

The Ithaca picture (bumperstickers, I presume) are not showing on my computer. Unfortunately, the Rhode Island one is showing up!!

Just a minute now. I am very conservative, have reached the ripe old age of 67 and I do yoga 4 times a week, zumba twice plus other weight training. Also I wear Birkenstocks, because they are very comfortable. Anyway, there is no relationship between doing yoga and being conservative or liberal (progressive). Doing yoga is not the same as displaying progressive bumper stickers, with all due respect, professor. Yoga gives you alot of awareness of your physical core, but nothing about your political core.

“One Drove Through the Cuckoo’s Nest.”

Two houses? One in Ithaca? One in RI on the beach? You didn’t build that! Professor at Cornell? You didn’t get there on your own!

Ah, the gimmie bumper sticker. Government Is My Mother In Everything.

I’m going to go ahead and put that “Ithaca is Gorges” sticker on my list of bumper stickers I never want to see again. It joins the company of:

Co-exist
that one about well-behaved women
that one about the military holding bake sales
Think globally Act locally
Calvin urinating on anything
Mean People Suck
Pro-choice Pro-child
My kid is an honor student at…

I only have two stickers on my car but I am still crazy. One is Mickey Mouse surfing above the logo for Disney’s Polynesian Resort, and the other pokes fun at the honor student sticker and reads: Your Honor Student is Merely a Pawn in My Dachshund’s Diabolical World Domination Plot.

The principles engendered by the articles of faith embraced by the hedonistic secular cult was and continues to be the cause of the worst human and civil rights violations throughout the world. This includes the enslavement of people, irrespective of their features; the mass murder of hundreds of millions of people; the annual murder of nearly one million children in American alone; and the progressive involuntary exploitation of individuals and their labor. They live in the moment and are committed to normalizing behaviors which constitute evolutionary dysfunction. The bobble head behind the wheel should reconsider its reliance on bumper stickers to convey truth and a coherent perspective of reality.

extinct is not forever. don’t these people ever see jurassic park? duh…
