Conservatives are not going to have Hillary Rodham Clinton to *pounce* and *seize* on anymore.
Despite speculation to the contrary, Hillary said in an interview yesterday that she will not be running for president in 2020.
News12 Weschester reports:
“I’m not running, but I’m going to keep on working and speaking and standing up for what I believe,” she told News 12’s Tara Rosenblum.
In her first local TV interview since the midterm elections, the former first lady and secretary of state opened up about 2016, 2020 and beyond. She expressed deep concerns about the state of American politics today — and vowed to be vocal about those concerns.
“I want to be sure that people understand I’m going to keep speaking out,” Clinton said. “I’m not going anywhere. What’s at stake in our country, the kind of things that are happening right now are deeply troubling to me. And I’m also thinking hard about how do we start talking and listening to each other again? We’ve just gotten so polarized. We’ve gotten into really opposing camps unlike anything I’ve ever seen in my adult life.”

Spoke to someone close with Clinton in contact with her today. They say she wasn’t trying to be emphatic and close the door on running when she spoke to a local reporter yesterday, and that she was surprised by how definitively it played. 1/2

The lying, patronizing old grifter was down south yesterday, trotting out her fake accent and tossing around accusations of racism and voter suppression like they were packets of hot sauce.
It’s worse. The more time she is not accountable under the law, the deeper and more permanent the damage done by this sinister creep becomes.

She is NOT taking herself out of the race. She just doesn’t want to be involved in the early carnage among the upstart communists. She, like Biden and a couple of others, want to be around the convention begins without a promising candidate. Eventually, most will be currying favor to her and Biden for their endorsement. Her strategy is be seen as often as possible to stay in the conversation as an alternative to the communists riot. As if she were the only adult in the room. As if.

There are exactly 2 possibilities.
1) It’s all lies. Of course she’s running. She just wants to appear to be drafted into the race, to save the country from the terrible candidates who can’t possibly beat Trump.
2) Her health has taken such a bad turn that she doesn’t expect to live until the election. No. If this was what was happening, she’d be whining to the whole world about it. She’d run as the martyr candidate. “Vote for me, while you still can, you worthless ingrates!”
There is no universe in which Hillary voluntarily gives up her ambition to be King … I mean president. There is no universe where Hillary is content to corrupt her grandkids and otherwise fade into the sunset. There is no universe where Hillary gives up the immense bribes (I mean, of course, donations) that would be thrown her way as president.
In other words, this is a ruse.
She is consumed by her belief that she were she not cheated out of winning an election that she had already rigged, she would be president. She wakes up every day angry and bitter that she is not. She is never going to stop trying to be president.
Yeah but the good news is that she will also never stop waking up angry and bitter. She is living her own special hell on earth.
Hillary has become a bitter clinger. This has truly become a backwards,upside-down world.

Personally, I suspect the Last Minute White Knight. The Dems are roiled with turmoil, infighting, and sniping. The convention threatens to break down as everybody throws their weight behind fractional candidates…
…and then, the spotlight sweeps down from the sky, Hillary steps out from behind the curtain in a brilliant white pantsuit. Unscarred from months of bitter primary campaigning that the rest have bled in, she steps forward to the sound of a thousand voices raised in song, the One and Only Hope of the Democrat party to overthrow the Evil Emperor. She takes her place behind the podium, coughs for five minutes, and steps away as the press hammers away on laptops, writing praise and joy to her holy name.

As the professor has noted many times in conneciton with Sen. Warren, “I’m not running” is not the same as “I will not be running”. She has reserved the right to jump into the race if she is needed.
You’re never sure Hillary is running until she denies it.
