A woman named Meredith Watson has come forward and accused Virginia Lt. Gov. Justin Fairfax of raping her in 2000 when both attended Duke University.

This comes days after Professor Vanessa Tyson claimed Fairfax sexually assaulted her in 2004 at the DNC Convention.

Watson said she has friends that can corroborate the rape. The two never dated, but were friends. She described the rape as “premeditated and aggressive.”

The attorney representing Watson said the firm has in their possession Watson’s “account of the rape with friends in a series of emails and Facebook messages.”

The Washington Post has more details:

Kaneedreck Adams, 40, who attended Duke with Watson, said that in the spring of 2000, when they lived across from each other in on-campus apartments, Watson came to her crying.

“She was upset,” Adams, an attorney, said. “She told me she had been raped and she named Justin.”

“She said she couldn’t speak, but she was trying to get up and he kept pushing her down,” Adams. “She said he knew that she didn’t like what was happening, but he kept pushing her down.”

The alleged attack happened at fraternity house, Adams said.

Watson’s attorney provided an email exchange from 2016 between Watson and Milagros Joye Brown, a friend from Duke. Brown was inviting a group of Duke friends to a fundraiser for Fairfax, as he launched his campaign for lieutenant governor.

“Molly, Justin raped me in college and I don’t want to hear anything about him. Please, please, please remove me form any future emails about him please,” Watson wrote on Oct. 26, 2016.

Fairfax denies the accusation. From The Washington Post:

Fairfax denied the allegations forcefully.

“I deny this latest unsubstantiated allegation,” Fairfax said in a statement. “It is demonstrably false. I have never forced myself on anyone ever.”

Fairfax’s statement said he would not resign. “I demand a full investigation into these unsubstantiated and false allegations” the statement said. “I will clear my good name and I have nothing to hide. I have passed two full field background checks by the FBI and run for office in two highly contested elections with nothing like this being raised before.”

Terry McAuliffe has called on Fairfax to resign:

Corey Booker doesn’t have to worry about these things does he?

Rut…Roh…..there is no statute of imitations for Rape in North Carolina. Durham, NC PD and the District Attorneys’ Office in the 16th Prosecutorial District need to open an investigation.

There is no statute of limitations for sexual assault in Massachusetts if the abuser leaves the state. They have a “stop the clock” law which means the clock stops when he leaves. Prosecutors in MA have successfully convicted priests who abused kids from the fifties and sixties recently

Every time I see another democrat scandal, I can’t help envisioning a limbo bar. As the bar is lowered, the dems dig a deeper trench under it to allow them to walk underneath without even ducking.

Yeah, bad Choices and interesting times. Unless their progress is requalified, they will soon be sequestered with their other unworthy colorful “clumps of cells.” Political karma, I guess.

aw sheeit, does that mean Gov Blackface McWhitey is gonna get away scott free while his racism is overshawdowed by mere rapes by a black man? that’s racist.

“It is demonstrably false.”

How would he demonstrate this?

Maybe he can prove that he was in low-earth orbit at the time, or in traction, or in prison. Visiting a base in Antarctica. Working in the embassy in Nepal. In a nuclear sub stationed off Vladivostok. But without the demonstration, this is just a word.

Fairfax: “f*** that bitch too!”

What is Terry McAuliffe running for? He has been critical when he could be silent or take a we need more facts approach. The dems could bring him back in 21 as a candidate.

We have seen warlocks denied office, Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness. However, the reproducible allegations in near time and space suggest that Fairfax may be a real rape-rapist. Anyway, follow traditional Democrat processes, and hold a trial by press, activism, and stalking. #HerToo

It will be fun to watch Demorats turn into human pretzels as they try to talk their way out of condemning Fairfux!

These credible and troubling allegations from Dr. Vanessa Tyson and Meredith Watson make it clear that Lt. Gov Fairfax should resign.

This is at least a straightforward statement. But why were “clear and troubling allegations” inconsequential when they were about President Billy Jeff, but demand resignation for Fairfax? Because BJ was President? Because he’s white? I can’t think like a Democrat, any more than I can think like any other lower invertebrate; but there must be some reason for this differential treatment.

I am trying to understand how Fairfax could rise to prominence, first as an unsuccessful candidate for Va AG and then successfully as a candidate for Va Lt. Governor — and not face this scrutiny until now. I recognize that Tyson raised her concerns with pols in 2017 and it went nowhere. What turns the intense scrutiny switch on, and what motivations create the delay: Political stakes. And former Democrat darling, Justin Fairfax, would probably still be getting by if the governor’s blackface fiasco never happened. Fairfax is DONE. It’s a remarkable thing to suddenly come forward and take down an elected Lt. Governor without giving a sworn statement or facing cross-examination. Could accusers have come forward before he was admitted to the bar, or while he was a clerk to a federal judge, or while he was, strangely, deputy coordinator of the Northern Virginia Human Trafficking Task Force at the US Attorney’s office? Stranger still is that the delayed scrutiny lays at the feet of WaPo/Jeff Bezos who seem incapable of scrutinizing themselves or the pols they support.

When I saw the item about this on the Instapundit, Glenn Reynolds said he’d heard rumors about more women, and Ms. Watson wasn’t one of the names he’d heard. Stay tuned …

Lucky thing that Juanita Broaddrick had her lip looked at President Clinton finished raping her.
