Pelosi to Trump: No State of the Union in the House During Government Shutdown
“Again, I look forward to welcoming you to the House on a mutually agreeable date for this address when government has been opened.”
This morning, President Donald Trump sent Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi a letter to inform her that he will deliver the State of the Union (SOTU) on January 29.
Pelosi said that the SOTU will not happen in the House chambers as long as the government is closed.

I ask Pelosi if she is concerned about establishing a new precedent by perhaps not having a State of the Union speech:

Pelosi has given Trump carte blanche to give a state of the union address in any venue he chooses. She has rejected tradition, so Trump is free to set a new one.
Trump should just stream State of the Union on Internet, then Democrats can hear it at their convenience, all the while being more or less neutered. It seems pretty clear that Pelosi is still fuming over being grounded, much like a teen, until Trump and the rest of us get wall funding.
In the meantime, lets setup a volunteer organization to crowd source design and fund surveillance and countermeasures for our border.
Trump should give the speech by the same wall Acosta embarrassed himself over.
Trump should troll the LEFT and make their heads explode by saying that he will be giving the State of the Union speech after mass at the Washington National Cathedral.
How about giving the speech right outside the Pelosi compound in SF, right in front of the great big wall?

He decides when and where and whether to give the speech, but if he chooses someone else’s property they don’t have to let him in. He can’t set foot in either chamber of congress without an invitation.
The ‘house of the people’ becomes the house of the Nancy.
The Senate Chamber is substantially smaller than the the House chamber, but it seems a majority of the House does not wish to attend anyway.
While the President has the power to call a special session of the congress, I don’t think it’s necessary to do so.
Give the speech at REDSKINS Stadium. Have the MAGA hat kids there, and Angel Parents.

As far I know, most that setup need the Capital are near Capital Hill. But then there is the Watergate and several other places that have nice apartments near the river.

The constitution states:He shall from time to time give to the Congress Information of the State of the Union, and recommend to their Consideration such Measures as he shall judge necessary and expedient.
Washington and Adams went to congress once a year and gave a speech, Jefferson – Taft just sent a letter. Everybody else from Wilson on did the speech.
Trump should just send the letter and then inform the country he has completed his constitutional duty. Then read the letter to the people.

Can Pelosi not be impeached for her dereliction of of duty. There is ample evidence of intellectual diminution at regular intervals. However, I regard her most bizarre malfeasance to have been demanding the passing of legislation that had not been written, let alone read.
Trump needs to revoke the us of all US aircraft by all members of Congress, most notably Pelosi.
