University in California Lets Students Take Final Exams Off-Campus After Shooting Threats

“law enforcement does not believe there is an imminent threat to campus”

I may be jaded but this sounds suspicious. The school gets two shooting threats and the end result is that students can take their final exams at home?

California university lets students take exams off-campus after shooting threats

A university in California is permitting students to take their final exams off campus after it received two shooting threats in one week.

Dianne Harrison, the president of California State University, Northridge, said in a statement that finals on Wednesday will be offered in an “alternative format.”

For finals scheduled for Thursday through Tuesday of next week, faculty at the school “will provide alternative exam format options and accommodate students who are not comfortable coming to campus,” Harrison added.

“While law enforcement does not believe there is an imminent threat to campus, I recognize the extreme stress and anxiety the recent threats of violence have caused our community,” Harrison also wrote in the statement.
