I’m in northern virginia, deep in democratic country, and just love the disconnect with this sticker! The president is great! If only those pesky republicans (who only control one third of the government) would get out of the way all would be unicorns and rainbows!

Mine would read:

I couldn’t agree more. There are several blogs out there that deal with the corruption in the military at all levels. We have a saying in the military, different spanks for different ranks. The acadamies like to protect their grads like any other college and many officers who should have been dismissed escape justice because they know someone up the chain of command.
Don’t beleive me, Major Hasan has not been to trial yet but they are starting full steam ahead for Private manning.
The crux of the left’s argument is taxing the rich.

Among my co-workers and famliy members who love all things Obama…there’s plenty of money. The rich have more than enough to provide everyone in the country with a semi-luxurious living. The fraudulent insurance companies have more than enough to pay for extravagant healthcare, and we’d have full and fullfilling employment if it wasn’t for the money-hoarding corporations.
They DO NOT see it otherwise.
One co-worker of mine, a 30-something who spends all his free time drinking beer, throwing darts, and playing Xbox (none of which I particularly object to) bitches to no end about how the conservatives have sucked up all the wealth opportunities and don’t want to share with anyone. Talk about a complete lack of self-awareness.

Well, we learned this week that the economy won’t get better before the November election. I fully expected the stock market to go up if ObamaCare went down; instead it continued to react to Europe, going up on Friday after the EU came up with one more plan.

He reasoned that the federal government has no authority under the Constitution to force an individual to purchase a product from a private company. My reasoning was much simpler. Because the Supreme Court is a functioning arm of the state, it will do nothing to stunt Leviathan’s growth. The fact that the Court declared no federal law unconstitutional from 1937 to 1995—from the tail end of the New Deal through Lyndon Johnson’s Great Society—should have been proof enough. He naively believed in the impartialness of politically-appointed judges. For the first time he saw that those nine individuals are nothing more than politicians with an allegiance to state supremacy.
It was a tough but valuable lesson to learn.

IMHO the outrage over Roberts ruling is premature, even though his opinion on Obamacare was flawed, he did not contest limitations on Congress’ constitutional power to tax, he set a new limit on the Commerce Clause…
The real gift Roberts gave us was holding a limit on Governments ability to coerce a massive Medicaid expansion.

What I find remarkable is the LACK of bumper stickers this time round. In SoCal, I’ve seen ONE Obama 2012, which was kind of balanced by the “This is America. Speak English.” bumper sticker I saw in an Ontario Lowe’s parking lot.
In Ohio, again, only 1 or 2. Not lots of Romney stuff either, but wow. Remarkably few.
It’s funny if you compare Romney’s merchandise with the Obamabots’ merchandise. There’s so much of everything for Obama and it’s ALL ABOUT HIM while Romney has a few shirts about believing in America and a bumper sticker.

I’ve seen at least a dozen Obama 2012, but nothing for Romney. I’ve also spotted a few Kerry/Edwards in the past few weeks… weird considering…

I make custom t-shirts for myself with the avowed goal of “making Leftist heads explode”. It usually works pretty well.
The sticker in the article confirms my decision to make my latest. The layout is done, and it will be made this evening or tomorrow morning as time allows.
It says “BOYCOTT DEMOCRAT-OWNED BUSINESSES” over an Obama symbol with the international ‘no’ circle and slash over it. Below that is: “Make the Democrats as poor as they are making us.”
While I am more TEA Party than I am Republican, I am frequently at Republican HQ because in our county the TEA Party has taken about 1/3 of the Precinct Chairs and thus the County Central Committee seats. We have added an extra TEA Party meeting each month at Republican HQ coinciding with the Central Committee meeting to be there so they know we are watching. They have never had that kind of turnout for Central Committee meetings. It makes the Institutionals nervous.
Next door to the HQ is a newly opened shop owned by a Democrat woman. Former Democrat County Commissioner candidate, organizer for AARP, and for various local Green groups. I look forward to the her reaction and those of her employees [she has an ideological filter on hires, which should also be standard practice now for Conservative business owners].

That bumper sticker makes no sense, but it’s pseudo-clever enough to convince people who are stupid, lazy, or mad at the world.
That bumper sticker is downright Orwellian.
It should be noted that the GOP only controls one-half of the Congress, which is one-third of the government.
At least someone has a job printing that bumper sticker.
I would just attach a sticky note to the bumper sticker that said, “Yeah, but you’ll thank us later.” adr draw a little smiley face underneath.
Unfortunately, this attitude is more prevalent in NOVA than I would like.
IIRC, Over half of Obama’s MOV in Virginia came from Fairfax County alone.
Since 2008, however, I believe things have changed, as both Fairfax and Loudoun counties have elected more Rs.
This will be needed to offset the demographics of the Norfolk and Richmond areas.
