U. Utah TA Tried to Restrict Students With Concealed Guns to ‘2nd Amendment Zone’

The University of Utah reassigned a graduate assistant after her syllabus restricted students with concealed guns to a ‘Second Amendment zone’
A graduate assistant at the University of Utah has been reassigned from teaching a class this semester after handing out a syllabus that said bringing a concealed carry gun to class “is absurd, antisocial, and frightening behavior” and that any of her students who have one — even if permitted — would be forced to stand in a “3×3 taped square” in the back of the classroom.
“This zone also does not include a desk, because desks are reserved for students who respect the personal and psychological safety of their classmates and instructor,” reads a copy of the course outline.
Chris Nelson, the U.’s spokesman, said the one-paragraph “weapons policy” was removed from the online curriculum Tuesday, one day after fall classes started, and students were “alerted to the error.” The graduate assistant, too, has apologized, received additional training and will now “instead have other assignments.” The school has not identified the teacher.

Syllabi have to be approved, especially GA syllabi so shouldn’t whoever approved that syllabi should be reprimanded as well.
take the class all semester long, regurgitate what she wants to hear for your A, then, after grades are published, let her know you were armed the whole time…

If a concealed weapon is concealed, how would anyone know about it unless there was a 4th Amendment, gully until proven innocent, unreasonable search & seizure violation?

This girl needs to be made aware that a “Second Amendment Zone” already exists … it’s called the United States of America!
I thought I saw another post about 4th amendment search and seizure? Apparently some of the other posts disappear when commenting, making it hard to refer to them.
I understand and appreciate the sentiment about ‘silent resistance’ and carrying anyway. That might work for us, but liberals are playing a long game, and we want our children and grandchildren to enjoy the same rights we do.
The greater point is that even allowing the rule to be put into place just moves us closer to acceptance of gun control by all levels of society. Don’t you wonder how soon a majority of large-corporation businesses are going to have detectors at their doors and turn away carriers because of corporate liability?
We don’t want newly indoctrinated graduates from higher institutes of ‘learning’ who ThinK they have deeper knowledge released into society before they’ve had a chance to learn about life and think for themselves away from their professors/liberal indoctrinators/political officers and the rest of the student herd.
