Thanks, Orrin

Thanks, Orrin

Senator Orrin Hatch has written a Hanukkah song. The background is here. Thanks, Orrin.

There’s a lesson to be learned here, but unfortunately the Jewish community will not learn it because it is so deep in the pocket of the Democratic Party that it cannot see the light. (Pun intended.)

Anyway, here’s the video:

Israel Matzav notes: “We’re still waiting for the first such venture from a Jewish or Democratic Senator.”

This isn’t quite of Senatorial spirit, but let’s remember the “original” Hanukkah song

Really?   Hatch's infatuation with the entertainment industry always reminds me of this link.

Nice song! And Happy Hanukkah, Professor.

And when I was in the first grade, I learned the classic version of the dredel song as well as the traditional Hanukkah song. "Tradition" in important! I am very fortunate. I grew up in Rochester, NY – Home of
Rabbi Philip Sidney Bernstein who wrote the seminal book "What the Jews Believe." It is and was a Christian/Jewish community. People of both faiths come to Rochester and are amazed and relieved they can be who and what they are. What is familiar is what makes the bonds. It is no accident that Bernstein's book came from our community. With respect for your wonderful heritage – Happy Hanukkah.
