Duke Students Who Disrupted President’s Speech Upset About Being Booed by Alums
“protesters were “surprised by the extent of the alumni’s negative reactions”
This happened a few days ago. The students who tried to take over an event are now trying to play the victims.
The College Fix reports:
Duke protesters upset THEY were scolded, say alumni at event should have been rebuked
In another example of how pretentious the modern college generation can be, the protesters who disrupted a speech by Duke president Vincent Price to alumni this weekend are miffed that they were admonished by school officials, and not those in attendance who had dared to voice their displeasure.
On Saturday, demonstrators crashed the stage while Price was speaking, shouting “President Price get off the stage” and “Whose University? Our University!” and then listed demands which include training staff to deal with undocumented students, and nixing “medically unnecessary surgery on intersex infants” in the Duke Health System.
Angered alumni booed, used profanity, and even turned their backs to the activists as they spoke.
According to The Chronicle, the protesters were “surprised by the extent of the alumni’s negative reactions.” SeniorBryce Cracknell said he was “disappointed that the administrators focused more on stopping the students than angry alumni” (emphasis added).
“Instead of actually going to the alumni and saying ‘that’s not appropriate’ or removing them from the space, they were more worried about us,” he said.

The worm has turned. I don’t know that the University will be smart enough to hear the anger of the alumni anymore than the NFL heard the anger of their fans. But I can’t think of a better “welcome to the real world” moment for NEW alumni. Their safe space just let the screen door hit them on the way out the door.
Just wait until they are seeking employment, and their actions are uncovered. I do thorough background checks on new hires, and would immediately reject these cretins.
What we need is someone to create a website listing everyone participating in these shout downs. Employers would love it. None of want these kinds of troublemakers.
Karma’s a _____!

Cracknell doesn’t seem to realize that angry alumni tend not to want to donate large sums of money to the university.
….or pay for their dear little SJW snowflakes’ tuition.
Funny how that works….savagely biting off the hand that feeds.

Bryce Cracknell…. I must remember to not hire him if he applies for a job. Nah. Its easier just to not hire any recent Duke graduate.
Duke had an interesting young lady a year or two ago in the news 🙂

Someone’s widdle feeeelings have been hurt.
The continuation of Terrible Twos Temper Tantrums that always worked at home don’t work so well in the real world.
Grab the smelling salts, clutch the pearls and head for the fainting couch.
Huh, who knew dook had alumni worth spit?
🙂
Were they ever told “no” by their parents? Or anyone?
With my children, typically in the age range of 12-18, at some point they would pitch a fit and announce they were mad, my response was parents might occasionally care, but the rest of the world did not.
