State Department Honors Transgender Day of Rememberance

Monday, Secretary of State Rex Tillerson released a statement commemorating Transgender Day of Remembrance.
“On Transgender Day of Remembrance, the United States honors the memory of the many transgender individuals who have lost their lives to acts of violence,” said Tillerson in an official statement.

On Transgender Day of Remembrance, the United States honors the memory of the many transgender individuals who have lost their lives to acts of violence.
Transgender individuals and their advocates, along with lesbian, gay, bisexual and intersex persons, are facing increasing physical attacks and arbitrary arrests in many parts of the world. Often these attacks are perpetrated by government officials, undermining the rule of law.
Transgender persons should not be subjected to violence or discrimination, and the human rights they share with all persons should be respected.
On this Transgender Day of Remembrance, the United States remains committed to advancing the human rights and fundamental freedoms of all persons. These principles are inherent in our own Constitution and drive the diplomacy of the United States.
According the GLAAD, Transgender Day of Remembrance (TDOR) began in 1999:
The Transgender Day of Remembrance (TDOR) was started in 1999 by transgender advocate Gwendolyn Ann Smith as a vigil to honor the memory of Rita Hester, a transgender woman who was killed in 1998. The vigil commemorated all the transgender people lost to violence since Rita Hester’s death, and began an important tradition that has become the annual Transgender Day of Remembrance.

One of the truly great legacies of American culture, the TDR. I’m sure the history books will laud the great liberality of our society, just prior to collapsing upon itself. We, America, will be known as the Second Rome in centuries to come.
Liberalism is divergent, which creates a perception of tolerance.
Progressivism is monotonic, which, self-evidently, must be qualified.
Conservatism is controlled, so principles matter.
You don’t help somebody with Bulimia or Anorexia by pretending they’re fat and need to lose weight.
You don’t help somebody by pretending that cosmetic surgery actually changes their gender.
This lunacy needs to stop. They’re not brave, they’re not laudable. They have a MENTAL DISORDER that needs treatment.

America can have a national holiday honoring the mentally ill Beta Genders who commit suicide, thereby removing themselves from the gene pool. Darwin’s answer to genetic based sexual identity insanity, the liberals should all embrace the idea.
My post wasn’t necessarily meant to be a jest, although I can see why it would be taken as such.
The suicide rate is known to be very high among the mentally ill, particularly those with gender dysphoria, and this doesn’t seem to be correlated to bullying. Furthermore, gun violence related deaths, particularly by anti-gun leftists, have often included skewed suicide stats to make the criminal use of guns look much more menacing. Yes, it is technically a crime but not a crime intended to murder anyone but one’s self. The left is developing quite the reputation of back-loading the data rationale to overstate their positions. The end justifies the means, after all, didn’t you know?

I do understand that trans have been violently abused, I have great empathy for them, but I just don’t understand the SOS coming out with this speech.
I mean everyday is a day to remember for one disease or another , and they all mean something to the people affected, believe me , I know, so is he making statements everyday about Cancer, Alzheimer’s, ADHD, ADL, etc?
I get it he doesn’t acknowledge it as a disease, but believe me, cancer victims are discriminated against, treatment is withheld by Medicare, ageism is alive and well also…etc…

There are a good many more substantial reasons why Tillerson is unfit to be Secretary of State, but this is another. Anyone who goes out of his way to make such a public statement has problems of his own, and isn’t very well connected to reality.

Perhaps a better day of remembrance would be to think about all the genuinely confused children from Western society whose parents believed their confusion and cries for help and made the decision to undergo hormone treatment and cosmetic surgery. Those are the real victims in all this.
How about a day of remembrance for all of the people whose lives have been destroyed by the Fascist Left for committing the thought-crime of speaking the truth about this mental disorder?
It’s disturbing and swampworthy to have national officials involved in this balkanization. Why do certain classes of people deserve a rememberance day separate from everyone else?
Administration effort would be better spent rooting out the timewasters and hacks that support this stuff.
