I’m sure the communists and the people of Germany in the 1920’s felt the same way about their National Socialists. This kind of thinking or excusing of this group as being small and insignificant is dangerous.
When their biggest rally in years can’t even conjure up more than one out of every million adult residents of the country, I don’t think the US Nazis are a big deal.
The communists who repeatedly draw thousands to instigate violence, on the other hand…
Would you not have supported similar coverage of the BLM movement when it was in its infancy? Would you have argued that its just a small group of rabble rousers not worth our time and that the Occupy movement required more airtime? Would you not have supported similar coverage of the Occupy movement when it was just a few hipsters in tents? Would you have argued that its just a small group of rabble rousers not worth our time and that La Raza required more airtime? Would you not have supported similar coverage of La Raza….
See my point? I get that the media is being hypocritical in its “fair” coverage of violent groups, but at NO time will I bemoan the hot spotlight burning brightly on Nazis and socialists. If you’re worried more about them trying to make a connection to the right then the blame lies at the feet of our inept leadership who can’t make a clear distinction or strong condemnation of the alt-right Nationalists without muddying the message.
The US Nazis are not in their infancy, they’re in their twilight years.
The complete lack of coverage of Antifa as the violent thugs they are, however, better fits your concerns than the last gasp of a discredited and mockworthy remnant.
It’s the press that muddies the distinction. The press is quick to attach with a broad brush the alt-right label for all of what that label defines to any outspoken conservative when that person’s viewpoint falls outside all such definitions.
You can’t say “all lives matter.” You can’t say “all violence outside of self-defense is bad.” You can’t say “judge each man according to the content of his character.”
The trend is clear, minimize the TEA Party, and other deplorables, while mischaracterizing and blowing up neo-national socialists to catastrophic anthropogenic global proportions.
Letist causes including color diversity, selective-child, clinical cannibalism, redistributive change, and flat-Earth science… never heard of them. Wait, the flat-Earth consensus was not one of traditional leftist failings.
The flat earth consensus was the “settled” science of its time, as was geocentrism of its time.
We know an apple falling from a tree might conk one on the head. We all may have heard the saying about a person being so huge he makes his own gravity. In a loose sense of the word gravity, that is true, all objects exhibit a gravitational attraction proportional to the mass of that object.
There was never a flat-earth consensus. Fake news!
Eratosthenes of Cyrene accurately computed the Earth’s diameter around 200 B.C. Medieval writers such as Dante and Chaucer mention the earth’s roundness as a well-known fact, as indeed it was. Anyone who ever saw a ship dropping below the horizon knew it. Instruments such as the astrolabe (and for that matter, the crow’s nest) depended on it. Sorry to nitpick, but this bit of anti-history is a pet peeve of mine.
Just needs a further zoom-out where North Korea and Putin and Obamacare victims and jobless Americans are staring at the frenzy of media attention to a hundred or so idiots and the thousands of idiots attacking them.
Seeing the great cartoon makes me realize that the times we are living today are totally insane. I can no longer comment on the events since I can see no point in talking about insanity. Just look at the list of topics on this site! There are no serious subjects because it is all manufactured by the msm. They are literally wagging the dog with this nonsense. Pick any topic of note and ask yourself is it really important or will it help solve the enormous problems we face as a nation? None of them amount to anything except above-the-fold exploitation for the msm.

Ahhh! Perspective. It’s a wonderful thing.

The “press” is corrupt – merely an arm of the left.
We need to move the conversation forward – expecting anything more of them is a trap.

There wasn’t enough tiki torches to keep the sissy mosquitoes away.
I think you missed the whole point of the cartoon. This one really hit home… TY Mr. Branco.

That is settled. But what “makes” gravity.

PERFECT!
Excellent.

I object to the premise that people who want to preserve Confederate monuments are Nazis.
I agree!
