Is there any bottom limit to anti-Trump insults on MSNBC?
We get it. Joe Scarborough doesn’t approve of Donald Trump.
Two weeks ago, we noted the Morning Joe host calling the president a “jackass.”
Things are escalating, and there appears to be no sense of decorum left on Morning Joe.
This morning, Scarborough called Trump a “schmuck” – a term that literally means penis in Yiddish, and is used as a pejorative to express contempt for a person.
Is there any limit to the insults MSNBC hosts feel entitled to fling at President Trump?
JOE SCARBOROUGH: Of course those, the two people you named [Senators Cotton and Rubio], actually went to the White House and had dinner last night.
STEVE SCHMIDT: They did.
JOE: Donald Trump, again, being a schmuck, thinking he can buy people’s integrity by inviting them over to the White House and wowing them. I’m sorry, that’s how he thinks. I know that first-hand. He thinks if he invites you to the White House and gives you food that you are going to cut him a break, cut him slack.

When you see people doing something that appears counterproductive… a handy exercise: imagine that they might have some different goal that they are actually working towards quite productively.
In this case: “it” clearly is working… in the sense that MSNBC has now passed CNN in viewership and getting closer to Fox News. This translates into *huge* increases in their advertising revenue. Being crude is getting the people who hate Trump to watch — which makes them money.
If their goal was to politically damage Trump, you’d be right. It’s not working. But if the goal of a big corporation is to make money… it’s working.
Trump is just being himself. At long last, Democrats, their media and all involved, are finally revealing themselves. Thought so.
You hit the nail on the head. No hiding behind “just reporting the news”. It is a full out propaganda campaign aggainst Trump ala Goebbels.
This is all The Resistance™ has been saying for months now—when you peel back all the shrieking and moaning, there’s nothing substantial, just incoherent wails that Trump is a poopy-head. Intellectually satisfactory fodder for six-year-olds, perhaps, but mere fluff to adult voters.
“Schmuck” is as close as they’ve come to actually saying “poopy-head,” though. So I suppose this is a milestone.
So congratulations, Joe. And what do you want to be when you grow up?
I had (and have) my problems with Trump. I really didn’t want him to be the nominee. It took a while to realize it was his style I objected to, mostly. I think he could stand to exercise a little more “shut up”, but how am I gonna stop him? I think that’s the real underlying objection most of these people have with him – “Not our class, dear” – and they just project the worst on him to justify that without saying it.
A friend of mine lived next door to POTUS in Fla.

After talking with my fried some more, it turns out that DJT’s
brash style was the reason.
POTUS has the need to voice his opinion too often without considering his audience.
He has the right gut feeling and is a Patriot, he just needs to tweet less often and consider the best way to get his message out clearly and concisely.
His tweeting is really the only way that we can get his actual message and not what the talking heads tell us hes saying. At times it’s 140 characters of stream of consciousness but it is also god level trolling. Hang out on his twitter page some day or Trump Jr’s and watch the left, never Trumpers, SJW’s etc etc scream with impotent rage. Then watch them make a mistake and threaten the Pres and get reported to the secret service by thousands of supporters. It’s a glorious show. Pro tip: copy and paste “It’s going to be a long 8 years snowflake” and enjoy.

Trump’s brashness is a great camouflage. His enemies get all stuck on the surface (of his comments) – like on a tar baby – and can’t even see what is happening to them – nor see anything else that is going on.

Isn’t “schmuck” a Yiddish word, or a derivative thereof? Wouldn’t that make Joe guilty of “cultural appropriation?” Ol’ Joe better watch out, the SJW outrage mob may come for him next.
It would be neat to have a parallel Earth to run experiments on, and see how it would have gone if, say, Ted Cruz had defeated Hillary. I think we’d be just about exactly where we are.

I doubt many people know the word is a synonym for penis. I certainly did not. I just thought it was a slur or an insult meaning the person is naive, unsophisticated, easily fooled – that sort of thing. So I doubt they’ll be sanctioned.
BTW, I am a huge believer that people respond to incentives. My guess is Scarborough is ramping up his attacks on Trump because his ratings are going up. If they were going down, he’d probably be taking a different tact.
