After emerging victorious from the disparate streets of a progressive paradise, Trump will not be aborted with mere emotional appeals and tabloid journalism. It will require far better planning to kill his successful evolution as a person, businessman, and perhaps president.
George Will is out today with another in a series of Trump is Dead chants from the dying Republican Establishment, terrified that its comfortable and incestuous relationship with the status quo could be interrupted by actual voters. In WaPo, well known for its love of and concern for conservatives.
Will: “Television, which has made Trump (he is one of three candidates, with Mike Huckabee and John Kasich, who have had television shows), will unmake him, turning his shtick into a transcontinental bore. ”
This direct quote from the column is a clear prediction of demise for Trump. I did not lie. You cannot read, lol, cf: ‘will unmake him’.
Protip: Look up ‘unmake’.
The fact that ‘hear’ in my post was in quotes went right over your head lol
Enuff pig rasslin, knock yourself out sputtering and snorting ineffectually 🙂
The newsies are talking all about Trump because he gores Republican sacred cows. The whole spat he had will Kelly just shows once he runs into a hostile media he folds like a cheap suit. All he would do in the general is pull a McCain redux, once the media actually turns on him.
It is something of a shame too, because if the party leadership does not reform, it’s going to lose the election, and that’s going to be very bad for all of us.
My view, Trump saw no need to make enemies with FNC unnecessarily, so he made a peace move; end of that story. No harm no foul and so what? Also, my view, Trump isn’t going to fold. He might lose out to Carson, Carly, Cruz, or Rubio in the primaries but my bet is he’ll live with that and work for the winner nominee. But, to your point, Trump is not part of the GOP Elite team, like JEB or Christie, and that’s a good thing.
Lastly, read his 2011 book, “Time to Ge Tough” and pay attention to Trump’s outline of what he wants to see done for America. No one, except maybe JEB is going to have a umpteenth point action plan outline in his notes now, but if that’s what you want, JEB’s your man, and then you can say: “Hey JEB could have won, iffn!”
Dole in ’96, McCain in ’08, Mitt in ’12, yep the GOP Elites sure do run a mighty tight ship, of fools. All they need is Nelson Rockerfeller and Ford too.
Rags, I’ve respect you and what you seem to represent, but what’s with this god-like mantel you’re trying to cloak yourself with?
Milton Friedman on PBS, eons ago? Who used to watch PBS back then except a died in the wool socialist? What’s the matter, all those 3M’ers moving to Austin convert you?
Jeez, you’re the friggin maroooon or else, the sun down in H.O.T. is too bright shining down on your noggin!
A last exchange with you; not gonna play your current “game” no more this thread.
Grow up and understand that I and many others here are reading LI because of the good Professor, not you. Your comments are interesting, sometimes. Yet, your now “presumed” “ownership” of LI is off putting.
As for you’re being the original 20th Century CONSERVATIVE, go take a long walk off a short sidewalk and fall flat on your arrogant comments. PBS? “McNeill/Lehrer?” Really?

Huzzah Branco! Again!

Remember how Milton Friedman had his shows on PBS?
Yeah, thought not. You’re a maroon.

You’re just a joke.
Wott, you’re on the Ragspierre again?
Apparently you
a) hate Branco; or
b) worship George Will; or
c) just like to call people names; or
d) just like to ‘hear’ yourself talk; or
e) all of the above
Try not to hurt yourself 🙂
What? Can’t deal with the question about Friedman?
I read the Will column, and you’re lying.
Yes. I DO like calling idiots idiots. Sue me!
You can’t hear me, ’cause this is written, ya moron!
Slow deep breaths, good buddy. Slow deep breaths.

Wasn’t that a demonstration of EXACTLY what you LOVES in Mr. Establishment?
See…???
Pro tip, ya moron. Check your tenses. You said Will said “Trump is dead”, which is not the same as “will unmake him”.
Is it?
Or was it that he hurt your fweelings by being so un-PC as to blaspheme against your god?

Peace, kid!
PBS is also where you found Buckley.
See, I was Conservative before you were aware, apparently.

Not what I was expecting… Is what I was hoping. 😉
Branco GETS IT! Yay! 😀
Here, you poor thing, let me help.
Avert your eyes when you see “Ragspierre”. It’s like turning off the TV. You can do it.
I know you like your lil’ bubble, and I challenge it, so make yourself comfortable any way you need to.
