Bibi sends Christmas Greetings

Bibi sends Christmas Greetings

Take one Bibi a Day and you will feel better.

The Prime Minister of the Jewish State doesn’t seem to feel the need to stick to Happy Generic Holiday which happens to arrive in late December every year and is not the one invented in the 1960s.

It’s a good thing he doesn’t live in a mostly Christian country, because otherwise he’d be in big trouble.

I guess he didn’t get the memo, either.  (h/t PolitiJim)

I love me some Bibi. Happy Hannukah back at you, you Mensch.

P.S. I knew this was coming:

Our 12-year-old son and 10-year old daughter have mostly Jewish friends. Independently, a couple days apart, they both asked me, “Can we celebrate Hannukah, too?”

To which I replied, “Oh, that’s a good idea. I think you get one present a day for eight days or something. So Mommy would end up buying fewer than half the presents she usually buys for you for Christmas. Our money is tight this year, so that’s a good idea.”

My son said it best … “No, no, no … I mean in addition to Christmas, not instead of Christmas!”

Here’s the good news: There is no Jewish tradition of exchanging gifts on Chanukah. The one-present-a-day thing was invented by American Jewish parents who wanted to stop their kids from being envious of their Christian friends and wanting to celebrate Christmas. The only authentic Jewish tradition on the matter is to give the children a gift of some money; in the most traditional homes this is done on the fifth night, because it’s the only night that never falls on the Sabbath, when money may not be handled. The amount is up to the parents, but it’s probably a lot cheaper than buying them even one present, let alone eight, plus it saves all the time and effort of shopping, wrapping, etc.

The Prime Minister of Israeli sends Christmas Greetings. On college campuses across America, this is regarded as proof that Jews are evil.

Details at 11 …

Very nice. Love this guy.

I guess Bibi didn’t get the memo that Congress got, but even if he had, he is still his own man and would have done what he wanted. That’s an alpha male for you.

OT, but interesting read from Gateway Pundit:

And in his pitch to visit Israel – something that takes up a lot of space on my bucket list – he notes that you can visit “the very places where Jesus lived …”

No modifying clause questioning whether Jesus really lived or not … he understands that Christians believe in Jesus and he accepts their faith oh so matter-of-factly.

Pretty damn refreshing.

Oh, and Merry Christmas to all of you

There NEEDS to be a “like” button for such blog entries. May Israel and all my Jewish friends and family have a wonderful Hanukkah – the Festival of Lights!

May we all be blessed with peace and joy this season.

Bibi is inspirational, a true leader, a humble servant of his nation Israel. Shabbat Shalom.

Bibi could you PLEASE be OUR President?

Happy Hanukkah 3 days early!

Thank you, Mr. Prime Minister. I, like you, look forward to the day when the United States has a President who understands what a good friend the United States has in Israel – and in you personally.

Thank you very much, Mr. Prime Minister. You can’t imagine what it feels like to hear this message from the PM of Israel! It’s a Christmas gift of the highest order.

Happy Chanukkah, Bibi and all Israel. Happy Chanukkah to all Jews everywhere!

How refreshing and uplifting!

[…] leaders have class, others are like Obama. Posted on December 17, 2011 3:13 pm by genes Via Legal Insurrection. Bibi sends Christmas wishes and an invite. Mighty nice of him considering the way Israel has been […]

God bless PM Netanyahu. You know, Avner(15 years old son) just won a Bible quiz with 98% and it is reported that Bibi studies with his son every Shabbat.
Governor Rick Perry knows how to convey respect for Hannukkah.

Contrast that respectful gesture with the Obummer’s.

“….WASHINGTON — Oy vey!
Just days after rival Rick Perry accused him of fighting a “war on religion,” President Obama looked more like a schlemiel fighting a war on decorum when the White House lit all the candles on the menorah at its official Hanukkah party.
“He’s not supposed to. The first night of Hanukkah, you light the first one,” said Rabbi Chava Koster of B’nai Israel, a reformed temple in Greenwich Village.
Even worse, the official celebration occurred almost two weeks too early.
Hanukkah begins at sundown Dec. 20…”

He is a class act. Merry Christmas, Netanyahu. May other nations demonstrate the tolerance Israel has afforded to all of its citizens.

But wait, I thought liberals insist the only interest Christians have in Israel is in fomenting the apocalypse. How could Bibi be so blind!

Merry Christmas to you to, President Netanyahu and all Israelis. God bless you for being able and just caretakers of so many holy sites.

Bibi rocks. so. hard. That’s because he has a titanium set.

The wonderful Professor Jacobson has said….Take one Bibi a Day and you will feel better.

What a wonderful idea…do you think we can convince him to give us a dose of Bibi every day? 🙂

Bibi went to the same high school as Mark Levin, Cheltenham HS, near Philly. Maybe we need to scout CHS alums for future candidates.

Bibi Rocks!

My eyes watered when I watched that. What a magnanimous, caring statesman! Would that our president could speak from the heart as genuinely. I pray that all of Israel has a Happy Hanukkah, a Merry Christmas, and a safe, secure 2012 (and beyond). God Bless Benjamin Netanyahu!

I love Bibi. He seems to be a smart, compassionate advocate for Israel. I love his voice.

[…] Meanwhile, for those tired of waiting, Bibi, who is proudly Jewish, takes some time to say something courageous: Merry Christmas! […]
