Hasan Piker, an anchor baby U.S. citizen who grew up in Turkey, is a vile anti-American and anti-Israel ‘streamer’ on the Twitch platform. Piker, who is the darling of the Democratic Socialists, is most famous for his claim that America deserved 9/11,
Piker has a long history of similar statements, as this letter from Congressman Richie Torres reflects:
Hasan Piker has emerged as the poster child for the post-October 7th outbreak of antisemitism in America. Mr. Piker has demonized Orthodox Jews as “inbred” and has dehumanized a Jewish man as a “bloodthirsty pig dog”: the association of Jews with pigs and blood-thirst is textbook antisemitism. Mr. Piker has all but exposed himself as an apologist for the sexual violence and savage rapes of October 7th. “It doesn’t matter if rape happened on October 7th. It doesn’t change the dynamic for me,” Mr. Piker declares before finally admitting that “Palestinian resistance” (his euphemism for terrorism) is not perfect.”Mr. Piker has said he has “no issue” with Hezbollah, the world’s the most heavily armed terrorist organization in the world, and has given a platform to a suspected terrorist from the Houthis. The US government has declared Hezbollah a Foreign Terrorist Organization (in the case of the former) and the Houthis a Specially Designated Global Terrorist group. Platforming any of these terrorist organizations, as Piker has done, is beyond the pale. Piker has even gone as far as to incite violence, telling his followers to “kill” and “murder” people “in the streets” and “let the streets soak in their red-capitalist blood.” The incitement of violence merits scrutiny from federal law enforcement.
The most recent controversy is Piker’s praise of Mao:
Piker’s means of reaching young people is pushing nonstop grievance and envy – even though he is very wealthy. And it is resonating with College Democrats, who invited him to speak at their recent annual conference. Here is the clip that is getting the most attention from that speech, in which he declares war on Democrats who compromise with Trump and the Republican “fascists”:
“We don’t need those Democrats anymore…. We are coming. We are unbossed. We’re unbought. We’re unbound. And we will become undeniable.”

I had the chance to discuss the full speech with Just the News with John Solomon and Amanda Head (and at the end of the segment we discussed the loss of trust in higher education).
Amanda Head:All right, everybody. I am so excited to bring in our guest today. He is someone who speaks so well on a number of issues and he speaks to students every day at Cornell University. He is our good friend, Professor William Jacobson. Sir, thanks so much for being with us.WAJ:Thanks for having me.Head:All right, sir. The imagery is just astounding. You’ve got Hassan Piker at one of these campus visits. He’s wearing a suit that has literally the Mandarin collar. It’s called a Mandarin collar for a reason, Mao Zedong type suit. Speaking to these folks that will eventually be leaders in this country, they will grow up and be politicians and possibly president one day. Does he have as much of a hold on the youngest generation? Does this ideology have as much of a hold on the youngest generation as we fear they do?WAJ:I think people need to take it seriously. And the speech he just gave that’s generating all the news was actually before the College Democrats of America. It wasn’t some small campus gathering. It was the official national College Democrats of America invited him to speak. And I would encourage people to listen to it.I listened to his 14-minute speech in its entirety and he’s very good at what he does. And what he does is selling the destruction of the United States. Radical change is what he wants.It’s complete envy and grievance politics. Essentially what you hear from the Democrat Socialists of America, that’s the line he’s pushing. And those College Democrats were cheering wildly for him. So people need to take this seriously.This is a person who, while his viewpoints are noxious, while they’re ahistorical — Mao killed between 20 and 40 million people and is now being celebrated by him — this is something that people need to take seriously.I don’t know if he’s got a hold on all of college students. I don’t think so, but he seems to have a hold on the College Democrats.John Solomon:So it would seem at this moment that the most effective thing would be if Democratic leaders though, who have history and wisdom on their side, should they have it, should call him out. But it seems like most people are afraid to call out this far left element of their party. They can wear Nazi tattoos. They can praise Mao Zedong. They can embrace communism and its hatred and its lethal toll on the world. Where are the leaders? Where are the voices?WAJ:I think they’re afraid. It seems that the traditional leadership of the Democrat Party is scared to death of people like Hassan Piker, scared to death of the people [like] Mamdani in New York City, scared to death of the radical left. And it’s not just the radical left, it’s also the Islamist left. He constantly weaves into all his things, not only hatred of the US, not only talking about how destructive the US is, he always throws Israel into that.This is something that is part of really a worldwide campaign to destroy our country. And people need to take it very seriously because this guy is smooth and he’s got some portion of the youth in the palm of his hand. And so people need to take it seriously.
