“We Got Him”: Missing F-15 Crew Member Rescued in Iran

The U.S. has safely rescued the airman missing from the F-15 downed in Iran, officials say early Sunday morning.

President Donald Trump confirmed that the U.S. forces rescued the crew member missing over southern Iran, adding that he was “now SAFE and SOUND!”

“WE GOT HIM! My fellow Americans, over the past several hours, the United States Military pulled off one of the most daring Search and Rescue Operations in U.S. History, for one of our incredible Crew Office Members, who also happens to be a highly respected Colonel, and who I am thrilled to let you know is SAFE and SOUND!” President Trump posted on Truth Social early Sunday morning.

According to The Telegraph (UK), the airman was extracted after a “heavy fight” with the regime forces swarming the area.

CNBC News reports the details:

U.S. forces safely rescued the second F-15E crew member of a two-seat fighter jet that went down over Iran on Friday, two U.S. officials said late Saturday.

Details of the rescue were unavailable, but the sources said the second airman was pulled from Iran safely, with rescue crews also out of harm’s way.

“He sustained injuries, but he will be just fine,” President Donald Trump said on his social media platform Truth Social.

The pilot of the downed F-15 was rescued hours after the crash. The second crew member, identified as a weapons systems officer, who had ejected along with the pilot, was rescued after a two-day daring search-and-rescue mission. Tehran placed a bounty on the downed servicemen, and regime forces and militias were combing the area.

The airman used a Combat Survivor Evader Locator (CSEL), a two-way satellite-based device, to signal his location while he evaded capture for two days. “US navigator hid for 48 hours in hostile territory, sending encrypted signals through a satellite-linked survival device that allowed rescuers to track him without detection, showcasing advanced combat search and rescue technology deep inside Iran,” Israel’s Ynetnews reported.

Israel called of planned strikes and helped U.S. armed forces in the search and rescue effort, Fox News reported:

Israel was involved in the rescue operation of a U.S. airman in Iran, Fox News has learned.

Israeli officials reportedly shared information with the U.S. as the search-and-rescue operation unfolded.

Additionally, the Israeli military helped halt Iranian air strikes in the area while the rescue mission was underway over the past 36 hours.

The daring rescue comes after President Trump, on Saturday, issued Iran’s remaining leaders a 48-hour ultimatum to accept his terms and clear the Strait of Hormuz or “all Hell will reign down on them.”
