Rep. Jamie Raskin and Other Dems Laughably Demand Cognitive Assessment of Trump

A band of Democrats led by Rep. Jamie Raskin of Maryland are demanding that the White House perform a comprehensive cognitive assessment of President Trump. Yes, the people who defended President Biden for four years and smeared anyone who questioned his mental health are now demanding this.
Republicans and members of the Trump administration should simply point and laugh at these people, publicly, maybe on television. That is what they deserve for even suggesting this.

Raskin asks White House physician for ‘comprehensive cognitive assessment’ of Trump
Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-Md.) on Friday pressed the White House physician for a full evaluation of President Trump’s cognitive abilities.
In a letter to Sean Barbabella, a Navy captain serving as Trump’s official doctor, Raskin argued that Trump’s words and actions in recent months — particularly those surrounding the Iran war — have raised enough questions about the president’s mental acuity to merit a “comprehensive cognitive assessment.” Raskin wants the results shared publicly.
“Experts have repeatedly warned that the President has been exhibiting signs consistent with dementia and cognitive decline. And, in recent days, the country has watched President Trump’s public statements and outbursts turn increasingly incoherent, volatile, profane, deranged, and threatening,” wrote Raskin, the senior Democrat on the House Judiciary Committee.
“His apparently deteriorating condition has caused tremendous alarm across the nation (and political spectrum) about the President’s cognitive function and continuing mental fitness for the office of President, and prompted concerns about the President’s wellbeing.”
They even put this in writing so that it will be on the record.

Raskin’s idiocy on this topic actually goes back to 2017.
Scumbag Raskin was doing this back in 2017, claiming that Trump was unfit for office and should be removed via the 25th amendment.

Right these are the same folks who said Biden’s mental acuity was “sharp.” They really have the moral high ground to pronuonce people as cognitively impaired.
Speaking of cognitive assessment:
I lot of documents were signed without Biden’s awareness. Autopen signage needs to be litigated at the Supreme Court—perhaps by charging someone who received an autopen pardon.
The Supreme Court has never directly reviewed a case on the constitutionality of the presidential autopen. While lower courts and legal scholars generally agree that autopen signatures are valid, the high court has not yet issued a definitive ruling on the matter.
Autopen use should be permitted only with specific written approval to the user from the president, whoever they are, certifying that they are aware and approve of the item being “signed.” Otherwise, as is justifiably suspected about the Biden regime, unknown individuals were using it like a carte blanche for leftist garbage. Let the buck stop where it should stop.

It’s dumb for conservatives to think this is going to happen.
Did they sign a whole slew of documents without Biden know about it? 100% guarantee.
Is the Supreme Court ever going to strike them down? N0.
Why? Because they know then they will have to rule on literally EVERY SINGLE THING Biden signed in his 4 years, one at a time.
They’re simply not going to do that.
Why not? That’s the same standard Democrats insist they use for individual illegal aliens.

We may suspect that, but how could we possibly prove it?
The validity of proxy signatures for all legal purposes is undisputed — provided that the signatory has authorized it and it’s signed in his presence. What’s controversial is using it outside the signatory’s presence; that was never done until 0bama had a bill signed once.
That would be a very poor choice, since there is nothing that says a pardon must be signed in the first place. If a unsigned pardon is valid, a fortiori one signed by proxy is also valid.

I frankly would like yearly cognitive assessment of every judge and elected official. As far as I’m concerned most of them seem demented and I’d like that confirmed or denied. I’m not sure though who would administer the test.
I just went through cognitive testing – and came through quite well. It is quite stressful because the test is designed to determine the subject’s limits – so it pushes them.
I think Mr. Raskin should be a mensch and volunteer to be tested himself. It might turn out to be a case of “pot” and “kettle”.
I’ve had testing several times. I am the type who will always test better than I might actually be because I like the challenge of it.

Oh cognitive test? Ok but let’s start in Congress and the Judiciary. Bring in the HoR, the Senate and all Federal Judges +Magistrates. Ask them simple things like what year it is as a low bar (though more than we’re gonna like will get it wrong). Then move on to more difficult (for some) questions like ‘What is a Woman’ and if they can’t immediately give the basic biological answer of an adult with XX chromosomes then they get removed from office. Somehow I doubt Rep Raskin is game for it.
Trump will take it after all 535 members of Congress take it.

The key point he’s missing is that the 25th amendment is entirely in the hands of the vice president and the cabinet. Congress has no role in it, unless the president protests the coup attempt and appeals to Congress for help.
If Vance and the cabinet were seriously concerned about Trump’s health they would certainly demand that he undergo testing, and they could enforce that demand by telling him that without it they would invoke the 25th. He could either comply, or go to Congress, which at that point would be within its rights to also demand testing, so it could decide whether to side with him or with Vance. But unless and until that happens Congress has no role to play here, so Raskin is well out of his bounds.
Mark Levin covered this in great detail explaining why it cannot/will not happen. It’s just more theatrics from the Democrats in their continued sowing of chaos.
