CCNY to Host ‘Lavender’ Graduation Ceremony for LGBT Graduates
“lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, asexual, intersex, questioning, and ally students”
Higher education just won’t let go of identity politics.
Campus Reform reports:
CCNY to host ‘Lavender Ceremony’ for ‘LGBTQIA+’ graduates
City College of New York has announced that it will be offering a special graduation ceremony and honors for “LGBTQIA+ students” in a May “Lavender Ceremony.”
On a City College web page, the college states that the upcoming event will be its fifth annual ceremony, and is dedicated for students completing their bachelors, masters, and PhDs at the institution.
As part of the ceremony, “Lavender Graduates” are set to receive a “Lavender Certificate,” a “Lavender graduation cord,” a “Rainbow CCNY graduation tassel,” and “some more surprises!”
The CCNY web page also states that faculty and staff are also invited to the ceremony as participants “if they were not able to have a Lavender Ceremony.”
In an Instagram post from the CCNY LGBTQ Student Center for the 2025 ceremony, the center honored “lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, asexual, intersex, questioning, and ally students,” and had “[acknowledged] their achievements and contributions with their loved ones.”
In the description for the 2026 ceremony, the CCNY web page states that the graduation ceremony is dedicated as a “celebration of the equality, rights, dignity, and visibility of the LGBTQ+ community and this community’s resistance against oppression.”
The web page also provides a dress code for attendees and participants, stating that there isn’t one. The website notes that students should “Where [sic] whatever makes you feel the best!”
Chosen articles of clothing can range “From ballgowns, to sweatpants, to suits, and costumes!”
During CCNY’s previous lavender ceremony, graduates had the ability to receive their certificate and then walk down a red velvet “runway.”

Employment ads for professional narcissists now trending… but which way?
An excellent move to identify these people, for when the moslems finish taking over New Yawk, and the Islamic “cleansing” machine rips into gear.
Given that a lot of the LGBTXXX crowd is into, ummm, “leather” and such, I reckon their CCNY commencent will get…interesting.
“Where [sic] whatever makes you feel the best!”
Yup, if this is the language of the CCNY official website, no wonder we are in this mess!
I speak as LI’s so been in homosexual. I would have no more interest in participating in a separate ceremony for homosexuals as I have in flying to the moon. And I do not have an interest in flying to the moon.
How much is this costing taxpayers?
