Trump Spoke to Australia’s PM About Asylum for Iranian Women’s Soccer Team: ‘He’s On It!’

Five women have already fled the team’s hotel and claimed asylum.

*UPDATE AT 12:13 PM EDT* Trump spoke to Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese concerning asylum for the Iranian women’s soccer team.

Sounds like it will happen:

I just spoke to Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, of Australia, concerning the Iranian National Women’s Soccer Team. He’s on it! Five have already been taken care of, and the rest are on their way. Some, however, feel they must go back because they are worried about the safety of their families, including threats to those family members if they don’t return. In any event, the Prime Minister is doing a very good job having to do with this rather delicate situation. God bless Australia! President DONALD J. TRUMP

The Iranian women’s soccer team has voiced concerns about their safety if they return to their country after the Women’s Asian Cup in Australia.

Five women have already fled the team’s hotel and claimed asylum.

The Philippines’ women’s team eliminated the Iranians on Sunday, beating them 2-0.

The loss means the ladies should be on their way back to Iran soon.

President Donald Trump offered the entire team asylum if Australia refuses to protect them:

Australia is making a terrible humanitarian mistake by allowing the Iran National Woman’s Soccer team to be forced back to Iran, where they will most likely be killed. Don’t do it, Mr. Prime Minister, give ASYLUM. The U.S. will take them if you won’t. Thank you for your attention to this matter. President DONALD J. TRUMP

Last Monday, the players stood silent during the national anthem.

Hardliners considered the silence an act of treason.

CNN linked to an Instagram post with a video showing “state media presenter Mohammad Reza Shahbazi intimating the players were ‘traitors’ and saying they ‘must be dealt with more severely.'”

Well, a few days later, another source told CNN that the ladies were “forced to salute and sing” the anthem before Thursday’s game.

The ladies are also surrounded:

Sources tell CNN Sports that the players are under heavy guard and are constantly monitored by Iranian security, including by one man who is believed to be affiliated with Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). The players were pressured and ultimately forced to show support ahead of their 4-0 loss against Australia through threats on their families, the sources say.

Legitimate asylum seekers who have a clear and convincing case of targeted danger from their gov’t are a far cry from ‘migrants’.

Your failure to comprehend and/or willfully ignorant refusal to admit the distinction is why the vast majority of the voting public wants draconian interior immigration enforcement and a secure border.

Because they’re rejecting the murderous Iranian regime. If they were pro Ayatollah and anti-American, Seymour would welcome them with open arms.

Sorry, did we vote for migrants to Australia? Because that’s who would take them.

The only one who shows no sympathy toward these women is you. Instead, you’d rather prove to us you don’t like to and/or cannot read.

I’d say try harder and get a life, but with your stupid screen name and your nonstop, stupid comments, I understand that is impossible.

We know all about you TurkeyButt:

If President Trump offers asylum TurkeyButt criticizes.

If President Trump does not offer asylum TurkeyButt criticizes.

Yeah. Can’t have these women telling their stories to the West. After all: the proles might get the wrong idea about Islam and the mullahs – and they might (horror of horrors!) begin to doubt The Official Narrative (TM).

According to leftist nut root college kid at 90,000 a year school majoring in middle Easter studies , those Iranian soccer players have internalized racism and it’s Islamophobic to keep them in Oz. They should be deported to Iran so they can enjoy the warmth of collectivism.

Hundreds have been murdered by the Iranian regime for doing the same, as witnessed by the verdict already given by Iran. No worries…. if virgins… raped then executed per Islamic law. The BIG issue is Australia… I guess they need to keep their militant Islamists quiet to avoid another rampage.

You can’t hate the leftists running Canada, Australia, France and the U.K., enough. Such utterly evil and feckless displays of meek, emasculated, cowed and submissive dhimmitude.

I would suggest no asylum. They are still muslims. They can stay until regime change in Iran and then they can have the choice of returning to Iran or emigrating to the muslim country of their choice that will accept them (including the UK of course).

They are Muslim because Iran registers them as Shia Muslim at birth. The majority of Iran is non-practicing, particularly the younger generations. The one thing the Mullahs have managed to do is drive people away from religion.

Doesn’t matter until we know they are apostates. And even if they aren’t practicing now it doesn’t mean they won’t be in the future. Or their children. It is best not to make any exceptions in my opinion. Of course this is Australia so I only intellectual care since I don’t live there,
