Trump: ‘Close to Meeting’ Objectives in Iran, Considering ‘Winding Down’ Efforts
“The Hormuz Strait will have to be guarded and policed, as necessary, by other nations who use it — the United States does not!”
President Donald Trump said officials have started to consider “winding down” America’s in Iran.
According to Trump, the military is close to meeting its objectives:
(1) Completely degrading Iranian Missile Capability, Launchers, and everything else pertaining to them.
(2) Destroying Iran’s Defense Industrial Base.
(3) Eliminating their Navy and Air Force, including Anti Aircraft Weaponry.
(4) Never allowing Iran to get even close to Nuclear Capability, and always being in a position where the U.S.A. can quickly and powerfully react to such a situation, should it take place.
(5) Protecting, at the highest level, our Middle Eastern Allies, including Israel, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Kuwait, and others.
“The Hormuz Strait will have to be guarded and policed, as necessary, by other nations who use it — the United States does not!” added Trump. “If asked, we will help these countries in their Hormuz efforts, but it shouldn’t be necessary once Iran’s threat is eradicated.”
Trump noted that due to America’s destruction of the regime, if the countries choose to go their own way, it would “be an easy military operation for them.”

Earlier today, Trump stressed again that NATO should step up regarding protecting the Strait, but also China:
It’s a simple military maneuver. It’s relatively safe, but you need a lot of help. In the sense of, you need ships, you need volume, and NATO could help us, but they, so far, haven’t had the courage to do so, and others could help us, but, you know, we don’t use it.
You know, at a certain point, it’ll open itself at a certain point, but we’ve defeated the enemy, and they are an enemy. They’re a sick group of people. The leadership is gone. The Navy is gone. The Air Force is gone. The anti aircraft, equipment that they have, the radar they have, is all gone. Everything’s gone.
The Strait itself, the actual Strait, we’re doing a good job, but it would be nice if the countries, including China, if the countries that use it, China uses it 90% of their energy. Japan is 95% of the energy, it would be nice if those countries would get involved.
.@POTUS on opening the Strait of Hormuz: "It's a simple military maneuver, it's relatively safe, but you need a lot of help in the sense that you need ships, you need volume. NATO could help us but they so far haven't had the courage to do so… it would be nice if the countries,… pic.twitter.com/KDOWOI3rgx

I sure hope not. Not until every single mullah is dead.
And the citizens are in charge. Too soon to quit now.
.
We’ll know a lot has gone right when we see Persian women at the beach again. Even I can appreciate beautiful women.
The problem are the real enemies of the West, Democrats. Trump had a very small window of opportunity to act so only has a handful of days he can do anything before having to go back to Congress for continued authorisation for the conflict.
That’s where Democrats will step up to the plate to bat for their allies, the moooolahs.
“mission accomplished”
where have i heard that before?
When gas is back down to 2.85 what i paid before, ill believe it.
In many places around Birmingham it was ~$2.50 until the party started. Now about a buck above that. I tanked up The Bride’s Tucson this morning for $50, something I hadn’t seen for several years, in the depth of the Biden term.
.
Are we neighbors? Saddlebrooke here…
Hoover/Vestavia.
.
Get a room you two! 😜
oh you fell into the lefty trap of “mission accomplished”???
that was another made up lefty spew as Bush stood in front of that banner and that banner was regarding the uss lincoln mission that was in fact accomplished
then of course the msm tagged that along with anything that bush and mission accomplished went together
and then b/c none of them were trump like
they folded to the msm criticisms etc
Shameful propaganda from useful(?) idiots
When the dust settles, let’s see who stepped up to the plate and helped out, who held our coats for us, and who outright refused support, but benefit from the goings-on.
I am not talking who – by treaties like NATO – were obligated but refused; they are obviously included.
I’m thinking about beneficiaries of getting the tankers through Hormuz. Who came through?
Then, adjust our alliances accordingly.
This ol’ bear’s opinion is that it is time to send Germany, France, and “our cousins” the British packing.
(Britain leases nuclear warheads from us. Void the leases and bring the warheads home. It’s not so much their moslem king and moslem-owned politicians as it is their whole attitude.)
Yes, when the Eurosnobs will be footing the bil for their own militaries, such as they are, they’ll miss us. It’ll all be over but the crying.
.
and the “beauty” is that iran is threatening vacation spots in those eurotrash places
well all they have to really do is just unleash the mobs that have migrated there
I mean they got grenades into “peace loving” sweden
Yep! When that lovely eye-raaaanian black gold starts flowing let it flow through American gas tanks first and foremost! The EU can go fuck itself.
no matter what…the never trumpers
the pretend magas the msm all the leftys will say we lost as soon as
trump winds it down and an iranian missile is launched
b/c thats the way it goes
we have decimated the lefty bros aka iran >>hezzies
now get the blmplo street armies who hold more power in thissss country than the gop does
I would keep my head down. This might be another head fake to draw people into doing stupid things.
Well we’re not done as long as they are spewing drones and missiles throughout the middle east which they are. They may not be able to make more missiles but drones are another matter.
I don’t feel all that happy about ceding that part of the middle east to China. If I was China I’d jump at the chance to control the straits. Do I want the US to control it? Hell no. China or Russia would be equally as bad.
I that that too when I first read that about the ChiComs, but it made.me think what’s the end game as Trump says that for a reason. Divide the ChiCom navy across the globe reducing thier focus on Taiwan maybe?
Given the increased incredibly poor performance of Chinese top military technology in Iran I suspect them Chinese got some bigger problems to deal with right now.
This conflict has demonstrated just how far ahead America is in the war fighting department when it comes to killing the bad guys.
1) Is it the top technology or a reduced capability export version?
2) Were the operators Iranian and how do they compare to Chinese operators?
Logistically China has a big advantage in the case of Taiwan. They also have military satellites which is far superior to whatever the Iranians have or have access to, Their navy is also big. Their cyber forces are large and seem capable. They have more than a million possible agents in the US. Finally what other escapades will we be involved in whenever they go after Taiwan.
The bigger problem right now for China is Pooh Bear is executing his top military brass and who knows how long this will continue. Also they really have no combat experience. Been a long time since they were involved in a conflict let alone one with a peer.
I wonder how happy the Iranian population will be to hear Trump is winding down activity and they still haven’t gotten their government back?
If they expect the USA to hand their government back, to them the populace will be disappointed; they must stand up and grasp it themselves, which I expect they will do once Iran’s military structure is sufficiently weakened.
But I do hope either we or Israel is smuggling in small arms for the hand-to-hand part of this .
The people don’t have the means of revolt, and pitchforks and molotovs aren’t going to do this job. Too many world leaders (and here I include Trump) never grasp the necessary step where they actually empower the actual people. The one who came closest in our modern age was (surprisingly) Zelenskyyy, but he quickly reneged.
Consistent with the liberal mold from which he arose, Trump still sees himself as a champion of the common man, but remains snowblind to any concept that involves empowering the common man to champion himself.
On behalf of true Aussies, I apologise that successive guvmints here have eroded our defence capabilities so much that we don’t even have one Naval asset to send in assistance.
God help us.
Your muslim population and your simping PM is a bigger problem.
Well at least I am happy to see that Mother Hitton is developing your defensive Kangaroo Korps.
Sometimes a C&C needs to refrain from talking.
But wait. News up top is that Iran fired ballistic missile at the Diego Garcia base in the Indian Ocean. So they do still have missiles? It’s not over ’til it’s over.
2 missiles, one of which failed in flight and the other intercepted. Slow enough, apparently that they were probably not true intermediate-range ballistic missiles but instead juiced short range ones.
He has three more warships enroute that won’t be there for weeks. Strange way to wind down.
