Quds Day: Blast Rocks Tehran’s Death to Israel Rally

An anti-Israel rally, organised by the Iranian regime, was hit by an explosion in central Tehran. Thousands of regime loyalists were marching through the capital, shouting ‘Death to Israel,’ ‘Death to America,’ and ‘Death to Trump,’ as the blast went off in the city center.

“The explosion rocked the Ferdowsi Square area midday, where thousands had gathered for an annual Quds Day rally to support the Palestinians and call for Israel’s demise, in which they chanted ‘death to Israel’ and ‘death to America’,” The Associated Press reported Friday morning. “There were no immediate reports of casualties.”

The hate rally was attended by several top regime operatives, including President Masoud Pezeshkian, Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council Ali Larijani, and Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi. The notable exception was the regime’s new ‘Supreme Leader,’ Mojtaba Khamenei, who is reportedly wounded and in hiding since taking office five days ago.

The Iranian-sponsored annual al-Quds Day, or Jerusalem Day, is marked by rioting and demonstrations on the last Friday of the Muslim fasting month of Ramadan. Large anti-Israel rallies are held on this day in Berlin, London, Paris, and other European cities with large migrant Muslim populations.

The Times of Israel reports:

A large explosion struck Iran’s capital Tehran on Friday at a square filled with demonstrators, Iranian state television reports. The explosion hit Ferdowsi Square, just down Enghelab Street from Tehran University, the epicenter of ongoing Quds Day, or Jerusalem Day, demonstrations. The area is home to many government buildings.Video published by the semiofficial Tasnim news agency shows a plume of gray smoke rising as demonstrators screamed “Death to Israel!” and “Death to America!”Footage from Ferdowsi Square showed people shouting “God is the greatest!” as smoke rose. The strike comes as Iranian media published videos showing top members of the country’s theocracy at the demonstration in Tehran, including security official Ali Larijani and Gholamhossein Mohseni Ejehi, the hard-line cleric who heads the country’s judiciary. The cause of the blast is not immediately known, and there is no immediate comment from the IDF or Iranian authorities.

Operation Epic Fury (Day 13): Israeli fighter jets hit over 200 regime targets across Iran

Meanwhile, as the joint U.S.-Israeli operation Epic Fury entered its thirteenth day, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) continued strikes on the regime’s leadership, military, and nuclear sites.

“The IDF has completed waves of strikes against Iranian terror regime infrastructure in Tehran, Shiraz, and Ahvaz,” the Israeli military said Friday.

It is worth noting that Tehran not only serves as the regime’s military command center, but also has key nuclear and ballistic missile sites. Shiraz is home to an underground ballistic missile manufacturing and storage facility, also referred to as an ‘underground missile city.’

“Yesterday, the Israeli Air Force, acting on IDF intelligence, completed several waves of strikes on Iranian terror regime infrastructure in Tehran, Shiraz, and Ahvaz simultaneously,” the military said. “During the wave of strikes in Shiraz in southern Iran, the Israeli Air Force struck an underground facility used by the Iranian terror regime for producing and storing ballistic missiles, which were set to be launched toward the State of Israel.”

On Thursday, Israeli fighter jets struck more than 200 targets across Iran. “Over the past day, dozens of Israeli Air Force fighter jets completed 20 wide-scale strikes in western and central Iran, guided by IDF intelligence. As part of the strikes, over 200 Iranian terror regime targets, including ballistic missile launchers, defense systems, and weapon production sites, were targeted,” the IDF said in a separate statement on Friday.
