With Operation Epic Fury entering its tenth day, the U.S. and Israel continued their multi-pronged strikes against the Iranian regime.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) stepped up its air and ground operations against the Iranian proxy terror group Hezbollah in Lebanon, eliminating one of its senior-most commanders, Israeli media reports say.
“Defense Minister Israel Katz said the IDF eliminated the commander of Hezbollah’s Nasr Unit in a targeted strike overnight,” Israel’s Ynetnews reported. “Katz made the remarks Monday during a visit to Northern Command, where he was briefed on the strike that killed Abu Hussein Raab, identified as the commander of the Nasr Unit in Hezbollah.”
The Israeli ground troops were now carrying out anti-terror raids along the border with Lebanon. “Overnight (Monday), IDF troops began a targeted and limited raid in an area in southern Lebanon to locate and eliminate terrorists and dismantle Hezbollah’s infrastructure,” the military disclosed. “As part of the targeted raid, the troops are operating to locate and strike terror infrastructure sites and eliminate terrorists in southern Lebanon. Prior to the entry of ground forces, firepower was employed, and numerous terrorist targets were struck from both the air and the ground.”
With Iran firing deadly ballistic cluster missiles at towns and cities across the country, the Israeli fighter jets, piloted by daring and courageous men and women, were ‘deepening’ their strikes on the regime’s long-range strike capabilities, hitting missile factories and the drone headquarters of the regime’s Islamic Guard (IRGC), the IDF revealed.
“The IDF continues to deepen damage done to the Iranian terror regime’s military systems and capabilities,” the Israeli military said on Monday. “As part of the strikes, the IDF targeted an IRGC UAV headquarters. From there, the Iranian terror regime launched UAVs toward the State of Israel and stored within it additional UAVs that were prepared for launch.”
On Monday, Israeli fighter jets “completed an additional wave of strikes on dozens of infrastructure sites belonging to the Iranian regime across several areas in Iran,” the IDF disclosed.
These strikes “further degrade the regime’s firing capabilities and defense capabilities continues at these moment, alongside the continued expansion of strikes on the ballistic-missile production infrastructure throughout Iran,” the military informed.
According to the Jerusalem Post, the Israeli military conducted large-scale ‘wave of strikes’ against regime targets:
The IDF has begun a new wide-scale wave of strikes against the Iranian regime’s infrastructure across Tehran, Isfahan, and southern Iran, the military said on Monday afternoon.Earlier on Monday, the IDF revealed it had struck several long-range ballistic missiles launch sites and military infrastructure belonging to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).The regime’s Internal Security Force’s headquarters in Isfahan was struck, as well as the IRGC’s police force’s headquarters, a base belonging to the Basij militia, and a production facility for rocket engines, the military added. The IDF later released an update saying that the military had targeted an IRGC UAV headquarters, from which the Iranian regime had launched drones toward Israel and was storing more for future attacks.
The Israeli military was also targeting the Iranian regime’s security apparatus, set up to oppress the Iranian people. On Monday, the IDF revealed striking command centers of the IRGC and the Basij militia, both responsible for massacring tens of thousands of Iranians during the recent wave of anti-regime protests.
“The headquarters of the Iranian regime’s regional corps, the Internal Security forces command center of the Iranian regime in Isfahan, an additional base used by the IRGC and Basij, and the IRGC’s police headquarters,” the IDF said in a separate statement. “The Internal Security and Basij forces constitute part of the Iranian armed forces that are subject to the Iranian terror regime, and have for years advanced terror activity. The forces constitute a central arm in the repression of the Iranian civilian population and are responsible for the use of brutal and systematic violence against it.”
