It doesn’t matter to the left how many times this philosophy has failed. They keep propping it up.

Campus Reform reports:

Franklin & Marshall College features Marxist curriculum and ‘Inequality, Poverty, Power, and Social Justice Initiative’

Economics departments typically prepare students for a wide variety of careers ranging from financial analysis to data science.

Franklin & Marshall College, a Pennsylvania private liberal arts school, promises that “By studying economics at F&M, you’ll develop a framework for understanding how the economy works, its shortcomings and how to remedy them, and broaden your perspective of how the economy influences daily lives in all corners of the world.”

The course offerings within the department, however, place a specific emphasis on Marxism and a variety of other ideologies particular to the political left.

The school offers three courses related to socialism and Marxism, including “Socialism,” “Marxian Economics,” and “Marxian Theories of Crisis.”

The school does not offer a course dedicated to capitalism, the dominant financial structure found in the United States.

The department also teaches a number of courses that discuss perceived racial and gender inequalities, ideas commonly perpetuated by those on the left.

One such course, entitled “Inequality, Power, and Justice,” covers topics across two major categories, namely “racial/ethnic and indigenous struggles in North America” and “global inequality as illustrated in discourses of displacement, migration, and refugee resettlement.”

A similar course, “Race and Inequality in the United States,” aims to examine “the relationship between race and economic inequality in the United States.” Students study topics such as “mass incarceration, voter disenfranchisement, health care inequalities, and labor market discrimination.”

Leftists who believe in the existence of institutional racism typically look to economic remedies such as Marxism to ameliorate real or supposed inequalities, though countries that have implemented such measures have experienced economic instability and social unrest.
