Agitators Arrested Outside Arkansas Governor’s Mansion After Event Featuring Erika Kirk

Agitators Arrested Outside Arkansas Governor’s Mansion After Event Featuring Erika Kirk

“I started recording and then he started to walk away. And then he came back and he smacked the camera or phone out of somebody’s hand”

Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders hosted an event at the governor’s mansion this week, which featured Erika Kirk, the widow of the late Charlie Kirk. As attendees left the event, they were harassed by a group of protesters, and the situation quickly devolved into chaos.

These protesters are an example of what the left is doing all the time now. They show up at events to cause trouble and instigate violence. What were they even protesting? Erika Kirk’s mere presence at the event?

Campus Reform reports:

Arkansas state troopers attacked, multiple protesters arrested at Erika Kirk Club America event

Three protesters were arrested Wednesday after a confrontation outside the Arkansas Governor’s Mansion in Little Rock during an event featuring Turning Point USA CEO Erika Kirk.

Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders hosted the event to promote an education initiative encouraging “Club America” chapters at high schools.

”I had the privilege of calling [Charlie Kirk] a friend and seeing firsthand the movement he built,” Sanders said. “Bringing Club America chapters to Arkansas high schools will help continue that mission and inspire the next generation of leaders.”

About 30 protesters gathered outside the mansion, the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette reported. Arkansas State Police said a physical altercation broke out between protesters and event attendees.

Videos posted online show the chaos escalating as protesters, bystanders, and law enforcement join the scuffle.

More from KARK News:

John Cunningham, one of the neighbors who lived right by the mansion, saw the whole fight unfold from his house.

“I started recording and then he started to walk away. And then he came back and he smacked the camera or phone out of somebody’s hand,” Cunningham said. “And then everybody got close. And then that’s when he, I want to say he hit her. Anyway, they got into a big fight.”

Another neighbor who saw the situation start to unfold was Robin Loucks.

“I came downstairs and I noticed that there was a young woman in a pink satin dress who was kind of crouched over there yelling something across the street,” Loucks said.

This local video report has more details:

Erika Kirk’s husband was assassinated in cold blood in front of cameras last fall. Since then, the left has not paused for one second to reflect.

It’s disgusting.

The problem continues to be that the protesters do not pay a price for their antisocial behaviors.

I’m not talking about being arrested. The cops will treat you like you’re a celebrity since they’re now wearing cameras and get sued at the drop of a hat.

I’m talking about consequences as in the biker bar scene in A Bronx Tale. FAFO type of stuff. We have allowed ourselves to get out of the business of enforcing social norms and given that responsibility to the criminal justice system. Obviously, it doesn’t work.

“I paid a $100 fine” does not have the same corrective effect as “I used to enjoy biting an apple before I joined a stupid protest and lost my teeth.”

Sad, but true.

Well gee John that might be the most vague unhelpful recounting of who did what I ever heard. I know no one’s perfect but I hope he was clearer with the police and you’d think the news would take the time to get a better clarification of who’s who.

One of the things I have noticed in a study of history is that totalitarian movements preparing to seize power in a society tend to try to prevent those they disagree with from appearing publicly. Just saying.
