‘Actual Democrat Political Operation’: Ex-CBS Reporter Scott MacFarlane Joins MeidasTouch
One response: “Scott MacFarlane’s career trajectory is why no one trusts the corporate media.”
I. Am. Shocked.
Scott MacFarlane left CBS a few weeks ago, supposedly because Bari Weiss took over CBS News.
MacFarlane wanted “more independence.”
I guess that independence means having the ability to not hide his personal political views, which we all know the MSM rarely allows its reporters to do.
Why do I say that?
Because MacFarlane joined MeidasTouch, a far-left outlet that started as an anti-Trump PAC.

“I have a new platform for my independent, unfiltered reporting, effective immediately,” said McFarlane. “I’m Chief Washington correspondent for the Midas touch network.”
I. Am. Dead.
In other words, MacFarlene doesn’t have to hide his bias:
MacFarlane’s portrayal of MeidasTouch as a beacon of “independent” reporting is at odds with the company’s background.
The group, founded by brothers Brett, Jordy, and Ben Meiselas, launched in 2020 as a political action committee to stop President Donald Trump’s reelection. The organization spent more than $4 million that year on “door to door” canvassing and television ads, according to campaign finance records. In one ad, MeidasTouch accused Trump of committing “mass murder” through his handling of the coronavirus pandemic. MeidasTouch also ran ads in the Georgia special elections in 2020, calling Republican Senate candidates Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue the “grinches of Georgia.”
The PAC faced criticism from some on the Left for being insufficiently helpful to Democrats. A 2021 Rolling Stone piece headlined “The Trouble With MeidasTouch” accused the PAC of “grandiose self-promotion,” arguing that it engaged in “misleading” fundraising practices and spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on “ineffective” ads aimed more at “brand-building and fundraising on helping Democrats take back the Senate.” The Meiselas brothers—one of whom, Ben, is known for working with left-wing activist and former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick as an attorney and business partner—responded by threatening to sue Rolling Stone.
Steven Cheung, an assistant to President Donald Trump and White House Director of Communications, said it best:
Every reporter who “leaves” (more like fired from) their outlet always comes out as a deranged liberal. Every. Single. Damn. Time.
Just goes to show how biased news media has become.

It’s not that they come out as a leftist. We always knew. These people never hide it because they usually don’t have to hide it at their outlet.
Jim Acosta. Chuck Todd. Don Lemon. Joy Reid.
They either launch podcasts or a Substack newsletter. Sometimes both.
They all seem to say the same thing, too. They want to bring in the real news! They don’t want to be held back!
No, you just want to unleash your leftist views that you hid so poorly at your network job.
In which Scott will also reveal himself to be as much a partisan as Lemon, Acosta, Chuck Todd, Terry Moran and Katie Couric… to name a few.
He’s joining the MeidasTouch – the most far-left “news organization” in the country that literally ran a protest during the Trump SOTU. https://t.co/8Jihr5Lzem

Scott MacFarlane's career trajectory is why no one trusts the corporate media.
Many so-called journalists are nothing more than left wing hacks who are 30 seconds away from going to work for a left wing superpac. https://t.co/r721FvHLRO

Oh, Scott. It's so fun to be able to be who you really are instead of pretending NOT to be a hard-Left propagandist. https://t.co/5x5NOqeeSg

Straight to an actual Democrat political operation that masquerades as journalism. He’ll fit right in. https://t.co/d5tTw4Pdpi

Comments
MacFarlane has made ex-CBS fraudcaster, Dan Rather, so proud.
Gotta be honest, I don’t think I’ve ever heard of this guy or the place he ended up.
MacFarlane needed to announce this because this is, effectively, a dead end move. At Meidas Touch, with no audience, no one will be hearing him.
I don’t believe I had ever heard of him before, either, and I am fairly certain I won’t be hearing from him in the future.
Even minor ideological housecleaning at corporate media has folks demonstrating their career long bias with their landing spot as they exit. Whether pushed or jumped doesn’t make a difference.
“MeidasTouch?”
This propaganda platform should rename itself “MerdeTouch,” to more honestly reflect the salient reality that everything that leftists/Dhimmi-crats touch, predictably turns to excrement.
We shouldn’t even give clowns like this clicks to see or report on what they are doing or saying, Clicks translate into money and why pay him to propagandize. They have nothing of value to say, Ignore them and let them starve or at least only feed off each other,
These TDS suffers need to figure out they are cutting off their own heads.
Never heard of him, have heard of the PAC.
“Multiple people familiar with the matter told Status that MacFarlane had grown disillusioned with the overall direction of the network”
The tour bus voted to go to the stadium, while Scott wanted everybody taken to the street riot.
Who is Scott Macfarlane? As for CBS, that is the lousy March Madness tv station that has awful camera angles of the basket ball games. They do news, too.?
Once again boys and girls, you CANNOT hate these people enough.
Never heard of him or Meidas. Maybe it should be called “Mebias?”
