Netanyahu Set to Hold ‘Urgent Meeting’ With Trump, as Iran Tries to Bog Down Talks
Axios: Prime Minister Netanyahu “moved up his visit to Washington and is expected to meet with President Trump on Wednesday to discuss the negotiations with Iran.”
With Iran issuing new threats as U.S. special envoy Steve Witkoff holds negotiations with the regime, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has scheduled an ‘urgent’ meeting with President Donald Trump in Washington next week.
“Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has moved up his visit to Washington and is expected to meet with President Trump on Wednesday to discuss the negotiations with Iran,” Axios reported late Saturday. “A White House official [said] it was Netanyahu who asked Friday to move up his visit by a week and meet Trump this coming Wednesday.”
The Israeli request comes after Ambassador Witkoff, on Friday, wrapped up the second round of inconclusive talks with Iran in the Gulf Arab state of Oman. Shortly after the talks, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi threatened to attack U.S. bases and servicemen in the region if Washington hits regime targets as it massacres pro-democracy demonstrators in their thousands.
“Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will meet with U.S. President Donald Trump in Washington on Wednesday about American talks with Iran, his office said Saturday, while Iran’s foreign minister threatened U.S. military bases in the region a day after the discussions,” NBC News reported late Saturday.
Israel wants Iran’s support for global terrorism and its long-range missile capabilities to be part of the negotiations.
“Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is expected to meet with US President Donald Trump this Wednesday in Washington, and will discuss with him the negotiations with Iran,” the Israeli prime minister’s office announced on Sunday. “The Prime Minister believes any negotiations must include limitations on ballistic missiles and a halting of the support for the Iranian axis.”
The ballistic program gives the regime the capability to place nuclear warheads on long-range missiles, potentially bringing Israel and Europe within its strike range.
“The huge amount of long-range ballistic missiles that the Iranian regime seeks to produce endangers Israel, but not just here,” Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar explained on Sunday. “The regime already used missiles against other countries in the Middle East. European states are also threatened by the range of these missiles.”
In response to Iran’s tough talk, Ambassador Witkoff’s delegation boarded the USS Abraham Lincoln patrolling the region. “U.S. special envoy for peace missions Steve along with Jared Kushner and Adm. Brad Cooper, the commander of U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM), visited the USS Abraham Lincoln in the Arabian Sea on a scheduled deployment Saturday,” Fox News reported.
Today, Adm. Brad Cooper, Commander of U.S. Naval Forces Central Command, Jared Kushner, and I met with the brave sailors and Marines aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln, her strike group, and Carrier Air Wing 9 who are keeping us safe and upholding President Trump’s message of peace… pic.twitter.com/7Kc4XZuBY6

The Khamenei regime, having duped President Barack Obama into the 2015 nuclear deal, thinks it can pull a fast one on the Trump administration.
“Iran is skilled at prolonging negotiations over its nuclear program, and seems to be hoping President Trump is out for a quick win,” The New York Times commented on Friday.

They will try to stall Trump out of office or to midterms where he might face more Congressional troubles. Something decisive needs to be done very soon.
Here’s an idea. On Wednesday bring our embassador home, and let them know we are done having talks where there is no progress while they rebuild their nuclear program and and murder their citizens. Moving the meeting with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu up to the same day might let them know we’re serious. (Provided we actually are serious of course)
I hope that Trump is just moving his forces into place before taking military action to knock off the Islamic regime. I also hope that American inaction becomes Trump’s Bay of Pigs moment.
Correction: I also hope that American inaction does NOT become Trump’s Bay of Pigs moment.
Over the last month a massive amount of materiel has been moved into place. Anti-missile systems have been set up. Destroyers, refuelers and at least one aircraft carrier in range. The only thing that’s missing as of today (according to reports) are strategic bombers, which I assume can make the trip on short notice.
Of course they’re delaying.
Also, just pull the trigger already. And if you didn’t have a plan in place for this, then you already failed. Just drop the IRCG barracks/headquarters all over and give the Iranians a chance.
