IDF Eliminates Hamas Terrorist Who Filmed Himself Infiltrating Re’im Military Base

IDF Eliminates Hamas Terrorist Who Filmed Himself Infiltrating Re’im Military Base

Commander of Islamic Jihad-Nukhba forces also killed in Israeli strikes.

With Gaza-based terror groups continuing deadly attacks on Israeli troops across the ceasefire line, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) responded by eliminating Palestinian terrorists on Sunday night. Those killed in Israeli strikes include Ahmad Bayouk, the terrorist who infiltrated the Re’im military base during the Hamas-led October 7 massacre.

Bayouk was seen filming himself on a GoPro-style camera as he infiltrated the IDF Base in southern Israel. A screengrab released by the IDF shows him grinning with Israeli road signs in the background.

Bayouk and his terrorist cell overran the Re’im base, murdering and wounding the Israeli defenders. “Four IDF soldiers were killed and seven were wounded while battling the terrorists in Re’im Base, which houses the Gaza Division, the regional unit responsible for the Strip and for protecting southern Israel,” The Times of Israel noted in an article last year.

He was also involved in rebuilding Hamas’s terrorist capabilities since the ceasefire came into effect four months ago, the IDF revealed.

Another terrorist eliminated in the latest round of Israeli retaliatory strikes was identified as Azem Abu Huli, head of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad’s Nukhba forces in central Gaza. He also infiltrated Israel on October 7, 2023, and took part in the massacre, the IDF confirmed.

The slain Islamic Jihad commander “was responsible for procuring weapons for the brigade’s terrorists and for advancing and carrying out attacks against IDF troops,” the military said in a statement.

“Furthermore, the terrorist commanded the Nukhba terrorists of the brigade, some of whom infiltrated Israeli territory during the brutal October 7th massacre, and throughout the war he oversaw the training of the brigade’s Nukhba terrorists, including training for scenarios involving the abduction of IDF soldiers,” the statement added.

The Jerusalem Post reported:

The IDF killed terrorist Ahmad Bayouk, who filmed himself infiltrating Re’im base as part of the October 7 massacre, during a series of military actions in the Gaza Strip on Sunday, the military confirmed.

Israeli forces attacked terrorists in the northern Gaza Strip, as well as Gaza City in the central region and Khan Yunis in the south.

This flurry of activity is a response to ceasefire violations on Saturday in which several armed Gazans emerged from the rubble of a building about two kilometers east of the Yellow Line, the IDF noted.

The armed group, spotted near an IDF post in Beit Hanun, appeared to have entered the territory in the eastern section of the Gaza Strip via subterranean tunnels, the IDF stated.

The IDF also announced on Sunday that they killed Azem Abu Huli, head of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad’s Nukhba Array in the central region, during last week’s operations in the strip.

The overnight strikes were in response to a foiled ambush on Israeli troops in Gaza. On Saturday, several terrorists tried to advance on IDF troops deployed across the Yellow (ceasefire) Line. The terrorists “took cover under debris east of the Yellow Line and adjacent to IDF troops, likely after exiting underground infrastructure in the area,” the IDF said. Israel had agreed to withdraw its troops behind the Yellow Line under the U.S.-backed ceasefire plan.

South Lebanon: IDF eliminates Hezbollah operatives, dismantles terrorist buildup

Countering Hezbollah’s buildup in the north, the IDF struck back by taking out terrorists and dismantling their infrastructure. The Israeli military said on Monday that it “struck and eliminated a terrorist who took part in attempts to reestablish Hezbollah terror infrastructure in the Hanin area in southern Lebanon.”

“The terrorist’s activities constituted a violation of the ceasefire understandings between Israel and Lebanon,” the military disclosed.

The IDF eliminated Hezbollah terrorists and “dismantled several structures and engineering vehicles that were used by the organization to advance terror attacks in southern Lebanon,” the statement added.
