Clintons Will Appear for House Oversight Depositions in February
The committee will see the Clintons at the end of the month.
President Bill Clinton and Hillary faced contempt of Congress votes after both skipped their depositions in the House Oversight Committee’s Jeffrey Epstein probe.
Bill will testify on February 27, while Hillary will appear on February 26.
After a back-and-forth between Chairman James Comer and the Clintons’ lawyers, they agreed to sit down with the Committee.
“Once it became clear that we would hold them in contempt, the Clintons completely caved and will appear for transcribed, filmed depositions this month,” said Comer.
In July, Republicans and Democrats on the Federal Law Enforcement Subcommittee voted unanimously to subpoena the Clintons, along with us, for the committee’s probe.
Comer issued the subpoenas in August.
Bill was scheduled to testify on October 14, but he did not show up. Comer rescheduled the appearance for December 17, but Bill said he had to attend a funeral.
Bill then did not appear at his January 13 deposition.
Hillary did not show up for her October 9 and December 18 depositions. Comer rescheduled for January 14, but she did not appear.
I wonder if the Clintons thought the Democrats would protect them.
They were wrong.

I agree, as there is likely a 1% chance that any real punishments will be assessed to either of the Clintons.
Personally, if they committed crimes, I want them punished, but I’m not in the edge of my seat waiting to learn what will happen. We have far more important issues to contend with.

It would give her an opportunity to delay for a period of mourning and get rid of a potential rat at the same time.
I’m thinking there will be some manufactured “unforeseen event” that will keep them from testifying that day, and “scheduling conflicts” that will keep them from testifying on any other day.
Personally,I’m hoping for a Bill/Hill murder/suicide…

He won’t. He’ll filibuster every question and say absolutely nothing in the process.
As if either of them will be required to give their depositions under oath. They’ll just lie through their teeth on any inconvenient or awkward question and nothing will happen.

Care to provide proof? Because Hillary isn’t stupid and has never given testimony to anyone under oath where she might be caught out in a lie and charged with perjury. Never has and never will. And as for Bill? I’m sure he’s had plenty of coaching from their expensive lawyers by this time to keep his mouth shut and simply reply, “I don’t recall.” or “I don’t remember.” to any questions Comey might have.

Did the House Republicans forget that Bill and Hillary Clinton are clearly above federal and state laws? How? Because the Democrats have told us so and we just have to deal with it.

No schedule is convenient to them. If their only problem was the date the committee was always willing to give them a different date. The problem is that they weren’t willing to testify at all on the committee’s terms, and wanted their own conditions; they didn’t get them.

Back in the day, when the legal system was incapable, unable or unwilling to seek justice, liberal application of tar and feathers was one of the preferred methods of the public expressing their displeasure.
I guess we’re too “civilized” for that now. We just let them keep fleecing us over and over and over and over and…….
