Billie Eilish Rails Against ICE, Stolen Land Even Though She Lives on Stolen Land

Whether you want to or not, you need to pay attention to the entertainment industry just like the GOP should pay attention to every election.
Billie Eilish was among the many celebrities who lashed out at ICE during the Grammys, wearing an ICE OUT button on her outfit.
But another comment from Eilish made me snort: “Nobody is illegal on stolen land. We need to keep fighting and speaking up. Our voices do matter.”

Why did I snort?
Because Eilish lives in a mansion on land that once belonged to the Tongva tribes. Eilish has a huge wall around her multi-million-dollar mansion, too.

That may have been true at one time but celebrities have squandered any influence they may have had.
I have no idea who this person is nor do I care. As to the quality of music that populates the Top 40, I’m with Rick Beato – it svcks.
I had a very interesting conversation with a young musician recently and tried to paint him a picture of what music was like in say the late 60’s. You could hear Frank Sinatra on your favorite AM station just before Led Zeppelin. So many genres, so many incredible artists. Joni Mitchell alone blows away anything on the airwaves today.

She is a highly groomed offshoot of affluent progressive parents.

In my memory, this “take a stand” political ceap got started when Marlon Brando had someone else receive his Oscar and Make A Speech On His Behslf.

Of course since I am outside the 18-49 demographic, no one cares about my opinion, but I don’t think I have heard anyone discuss the Grammys since I WAS in that demographic. I don’t think a Grammy sells music or concert seats any more. The show certainly doesn’t draw much of an audience anymore.
In any case, I can’t imagine that Billie Eilish is much of a legal scholar, so I value her opinion on such matters as much as I value her opinion on repairing my lawn mower.
What would leftists have, if not lies, hypocrisy, and arrogance?
