AOC Taking Heat From All Sides Over Her Disastrous Appearance in Munich

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez attended the Munich Security Conference over the weekend with an obvious mission: to showcase her foreign policy chops as she plans to run for president.
Unfortunately for AOC, she has no chops. In fact, she made herself look like an absolute idiot.
She couldn’t answer when asked what should happen if China invades Taiwan. She made fun of Marco Rubio for suggesting the tradition of cowboys comes from Spain, which it does, and she didn’t know that Venezuela is north of the Equator.
The entire appearance was an utter disaster for her, and instead of owning it, she ran to the New York Times to clean up her mess, which they, of course, did. Kellen Browning of the Times came right out on Twitter/X and said that she called him.
AOC came to Munich to warn about the far-right. Coverage focused on 2028 & verbal missteps.

Anyway, I think the Democrats are blessed with the binary filter of being within our border, where Democrats and Republicans are kind of seen as intellectual equivalents, because there are two, two parties. But once you step outside the country, that equality evaporates, you know, on contact. It’s like two guys playing Call of Duty.
Then they both go to war, but only one has real combat and experience and skills. That’s when the Dems, that’s what happens to the Dems when they leave the house and they venture outside and you see that they know nothing. And it’s like on cable news, you know, you could see AOC and Gav can raise themselves up by sparring online with Trump.
And you might think they’re in the ballpark, but they’re not even in the same country. And I think the mistake since Obama was focusing on identity, but not national. In fact, it was the opposite of national identity.

Amazing how lost most politicians really look when they face real media. Yep. The d/prog nominee starts with a floor of around 44% of the electorate. She’s still reasonably attractive, photogenic and that’s important see JFK v Nixon. She’s able to use the social media era style to communicate to younger voters; short 15-30 second burst transmission v ‘stump speech’ that lend themselves to more nimble, quicker responses. She gets to be portrayed simultaneously as ‘strong and independent woman’ when she’s on offense but also ‘I’m just a girl/victim’ if her opponent/media questioning/comments start landing blows.

I strongly suspect that AOC thinks that a bunch of Taino, Nahua, Otomi, Zapoteca, Mixteca, Huastec, etc. allowed English-speaking Spaniards to steal their language and export it back to the Iberian Peninsula! and claim it as that of Castile itself!
