Trump Rescinds Canada’s Invitation to the Board of Peace

Oh, Canada…

President Donald Trump alerted Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney that Canada is no longer welcome on his Board of Peace.

Trump organized a Board of Peace to assemble a permanent peace plan for Gaza and Israel.

Trump wrote on Truth Social:

Dear Prime Minister Carney:

Please let this Letter serve to represent that the Board of Peace is withdrawing its invitation to you regarding Canada’s joining, what will be, the most prestigious Board of Leaders ever assembled, at any time.

Thank you for your attention to this matter!

DONALD J. TRUMP
PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA

LOL.

Trump poked fun at Canada at the World Economic Forum, too:

“Canada gets a lot of freebies from us. By the way, they should be grateful also, but they’re not,” Mr. Trump said. “I watched your prime minister yesterday. He wasn’t so grateful — they should be grateful to us, Canada. Canada lives because of the United States. Remember that, Mark, the next time you make your statements.”

Carney freaked out at the World Economic Forum, taking shots at Trump without naming him.

Carney’s upset because of “the breaking of the world order.” This guy:

“I will talk today about the breaking of the world order, the end of a pleasant fiction and the beginning of a brutal reality where the geopolitics of the great powers is not subject to any constraint,” said Mr. Carney, who used a mixture of French and English in his address in Davos, Switzerland.

“Every day we’re reminded that we live in an era of great-power rivalry,” he said. “That the rules-based order is fading. That the strong can do what they can, and the weak must suffer what they must.”

He added, “Let me be direct: We are in the midst of a rupture, not a transition.”

First off, it should make anyone uncomfortable when someone mentions a “world order” in a positive way or mourns its destruction.

What does World Order mean? Of course, it sounds positive: “Prescriptively, world order refers to a preferred arrangement of power and authority that is associated with the realization of such values as peace, economic growth and equity, human rights, and environmental quality and sustainability.”

Yeah, um, when I hear World Order, I immediately think of New World Order, which people call a conspiracy theory.

Me? It is not a conspiracy theory because it sounds like a bunch of countries coming together to dominate everyone. Looking at you, EU and United Nations.

By the way, I’m not a fan of the Board of Peace either. When countries get together like this, it never ends well (again, the EU and the United Nations).

Trump even admitted that the Board of Peace’s objective could broaden beyond Israel and Gaza.

ANYWAY!

Carney is the guy who cozied up to China last week when he visited President Xi Jinping:

As part of the deal, Beijing cut tariffs on a number of agricultural products from Canada while Ottawa increased the quotas for imports of Chinese electric vehicles into its market with the most-favored-nation tariff rate of 6.1%.

Carney hailed his strategic partnership with Xi, touting the importance of their ties in the face of a “new world order,” in a veiled reference to the global instability caused by Trump’s foreign policy swings and disruptive trade agenda.

Well, I guess Carney’s bromance with Xi proves his devotion to the World Order.

I have relatives in Canada

Never met them. Grandmothers family moved from Wisconsin, where her father had a very large and money making farm

There were 12 children, my grandmother was the oldest and already married. She and 4 others stayed in the US, but they didn’t visit each other for 60 years

How weird is that. Although her mother and father did indeed come back to the states and my grandmother took care of them til they passed

The only story I remember about the clan up north, not a good one.
A young family were living in the edge of great Forrest area, the mother of a 2 year old went in the house to get his food, she turned around and the baby had been taken by a bear.
He did not survive

“they didn’t visit each other for 60 years… How weird is that.”
My mind immediately went to a Vietnam-related move, but it was probably the wrong era.

Canadians aren’t traveling to Florida this winter. Friends are somewhat mystified. I mentioned the collapse of the Looney vs the dollar. Ahhhh
Carney is finishing the job Fidel’s son started.

It was utterly ridiculous for Canada to be part of this nonsense ‘Board of Peace’ in the first place.

What do they bring to the table? They are a small country with no military to speak of which neither Israel nor Gaza meaningfully interacts with.

So what, exactly, can Canada possibly contribute to actual peace?

He calls the “rules-based order” a “pleasant fiction” — meaning it was just a lie his type told each other to feel better.

China, Russia, North Korea, Iran, etc. were never constrained by any rules. Only the US was — and the result was our industry was shipped overseas and we imported cheap labor to impoverish our people.

What did Canada expect when they put a Chinese communist in charge of their country? I don’t know the exact makeup of this board but I suspect China already has a slot and didn’t deserve a second one.

Carney is a globalist of the highest order. It is no surprise he loves him some China and is still hoping for a “new world order” that cuts the US out and makes him and the EU the leader. The fact China and Russia both laugh at that silliness makes no difference to him.

Oh, Canada….why is Toronto full of Asians? I drove the QEW in 95 and wondered why so many Eastern people were embraced by Mulroney.

A lot of Chinese relocated from Hong Kong to Canada prior to the CCP takeover including a lot of chefs.

Fidel’s little boy took in a lot of Syrians.

American draft dodgers fled to Canada in the Vietnam era.

Canada may be full of everything but Canadians at this point.
