Senate Judiciary Dems Called Out for Deceptive Tweet on Young Girl Who Died in CBP Custody
“Anadith Danay Reyes Álvarez died in 2023 under the Biden administration. Democrats waiting till Trump is president to bring awareness to her death is completely foul!”
Just like the whole “kids in cages” narrative, Democrats love to make accusations or insinuations about allegedly questionable actions by GOP presidential administrations, which either actually happened or started under Democratic presidential administrations.
We’ve reached that point yet again, this time over a tragic incident involving a young girl who reportedly died while in the custody of Customs and Border Protection in 2023.
This May 2025 story from the New York Times provides background on what allegedly happened:
In a wrongful death claim filed with the federal government on Thursday, lawyers for the family offer the most detailed public account yet of the life and death of the child, Anadith Danay Reyes Álvarez, and her family’s efforts to obtain answers about her care in federal custody.

Anadith, a Panamanian national, was diagnosed with sickle cell disease and a heart condition at a young age. When she was 5, she traveled with her father to Spain for open-heart surgery and returned to Panama. The family made their way up through Mexico and sought to cross into the United States in May 2023 in hopes of providing safety and a better life for their daughter, according to the complaint.
Her parents, who are Honduran, are members of a long-persecuted Afro-Indigenous population known as Garifuna, and had fled their own country before their daughter was born.

On May 9, 2023, she, her parents and two siblings were detained alongside other migrants at the border near Brownsville, Texas. The family was then taken to a processing center in Donna, a nearby city, where security camera footage showed her parents handed over their daughter’s medical records to border officials in a medical screening area, the claim states. But medical personnel there did not properly assess her medical history or communicate the details of her medical conditions to the staff at the facility in Harlingen where the family ended up, investigators have found.

Between the evening of May 14 and her death on May 17, an internal investigation found, medical professionals at the holding facility in Harlingen saw Anadith at least nine times. A nurse practitioner who saw the child told internal investigators that she dismissed three or four requests from Anadith’s mother to call an ambulance or take the child to the hospital.
Anytime a child dies, it’s heartbreaking. What compounds it is when deceitful politicians try to score cheap and dishonest political points off of it in an effort to hurt their political opposition.
Absolutely no one reading this will be surprised to learn that Senate Judiciary Democrats have done exactly that in this case:

The democrat collective is a wretched hive of scum and villainy. They would do well in any totalitarian state such as China Iran Russia or Cuba. That is where their sympathies lie as well.
I feel like they tried something similar on Trump in his first term that happened on Obama’s watch. I cant’ remember what it was about.
Regardless, that girl wouldn’t have been in that situation if her parents hadn’t done what they did. Maybe it wouldn’t have been much better in their country…no idea but it’s somewhat irrelevant to the point that we don’t have a responsibility, the manpower, or the wealth to take care of every illness and disease of every person in the world no matter how heartstring-tugging. The opinion around the world, especially the 3rd world, is that we are an endless parade of riches. It’s simply not the case…not for our government and not for its citizenry.
What they did is publish some photos of children in cages and blamed Trump. The kicker is the photos were taken when the sainted one was King,, I mean President, and it was his policy, Democrat bootlickers still believe it was all Trump though.
Then there is the picture of Occasional-Cortex standing by a chain-link fence on the verge of tears because of the illegals being kept inside. The illegals were off camera. Turned out the off camera illegals weren’t there because it was a chain-link fence to a parking lot!
Exactly so! One can feel sorry for this family’s loss without like this was our fault. If they had tried the LEGAL immigration route, whether accepted or rejected they would have remained in control of their daughter and could have given her what care they desired. You can choose your actions, but you can’t choose your consequences.
Lots of the bigger hospitals have programs where you can legally and temporarily get a medical visa to come to the country for treatment. You do have to pay for the treatment. I’m assuming they took the illegal route hoping the taxpayer would start treating the child.

It sure is hard to keep the truth silent and a narrative alive in this surveillance laden era of the world wide web. It is almost as if someone picks and chooses what you are allowed to see.
One way to counter the sob stories is to provide the direct means to address them. Let every US Citizen who meets the qualifications and chooses to do so ‘sponsor’ ONE ‘alien’. The sponsor gotta post a bond of $500K. The sponsor assumes personal financial liability for the alien. The alien must reside in the sponsor’s primary residence, not in a separate apartment or tiny home on the property or in a second home….they gotta be in a spare bedroom. If that alien commits a crime then the sponsor gotta pay the fees, fines and judgement. If the alien is picked up somewhere else for jaywalking the bind is forfeit. No gov’t payments flow to the alien the sponsor is responsible for providing food, shelter, clothing, medical care, education. Lets.see how many people are willing to sign up when they must use their own money and resources v other people’s money. I suspect not very many.
