Man in Custody for Allegedly Attacking Vance’s Ohio Home

Authorities detained William DeFoor, 26, for allegedly attacking Vance’s Ohio home.

How did this dude get past the Secret Service?

I also noticed that local media published Vance’s Ohio home after President Donald Trump won in 2024.

WLWT obtained the arrest warrant:

In a statement of facts, DeFoor is accused of being seen by a Secret Service agent and on security footage walking onto the property without permission and damaging four windows, as well as a vehicle.DeFoor has been charged with criminal damaging/endangering, obstructing official business and criminal trespass, all misdemeanors, as well as one count of vandalism, a fifth-degree felony.Vance was in Cincinnati for the last week. He left Sunday afternoon.

The attack happened after midnight on Sunday.

The complaint said DeFoor used hammers to break the windows.

According to Fox 19, DeFoor “pleaded guilty to two counts of vandalism after he caused more than $2,000 worth of damages to a Hyde Park interior design company” last April.

DeFoor’s sentence included a two-year stay at a mental health facility and had to pay $5,500.

Thankfully, Vance and his family already left for DC at the time of the attack.

Vance wrote on X:

I appreciate everyone’s well wishes about the attack at our home. As far as I can tell, a crazy person tried to break in by hammering the windows. I’m grateful to the secret service and the Cincinnati police for responding quickly. We weren’t even home as we had returned already to DC.One request to the media: we try to protect our kids as much as possible from the realities of this life of public service. In that light, I am skeptical of the news value of plastering images of our home with holes in the windows.
