Lipscomb U. Facing Lawsuit Over Allegation That Students are Getting Sick From Black Mold
“Lipscomb University takes these allegations seriously, and we are deeply committed to the well-being of our students.”
This may seem trivial but mold can make people seriously ill.

Lipscomb University facing lawsuit over claims that students are getting sick from black mold
Some current and former students at Lipscomb University are claiming black mold in their dorms made them sick, according to a new lawsuit.
The group of 11 students is asking for $14.5 million.
The students are accusing the university of ignoring complaints about the mold and other dangerous conditions at Elam Hall, Fanning Hall and Johnson Hall, which are all women’s dorms on campus.
The lawsuit claims the university failed to make any changes until November 2025, after years of complaints. The students claimed the mold caused brain fog, nose bleeds, extreme fatigue and more.
The suit also states that carbon dioxide levels inside some of the dorms were measured at five times what experts consider safe. Parents allegedly requested testing and say the university didn’t do anything until the November changes.
Lipscomb University released the following statement:
“Lipscomb University takes these allegations seriously, and we are deeply committed to the well-being of our students. Based on our initial review, this case is egregiously overstated. Lipscomb University has established and follows strict protocols, consistent with EPA guidance and industry standards, for addressing suspected mold concerns. We have worked diligently to maintain a safe and healthy living environment for all students and will continue to do so. Confident in the steps we have taken, we will vigorously defend against these claims. Even as we address these allegations, we remain focused on our mission of preparing students for lives of purpose through rigorous academics and transformative experiences.

The college should check to see if this group has any set of liberal professors in common.
Don’t you find it odd that it is ALL women’s dorms? If this is black mold , look for the source. Is the laundry services located in the affected buildings? Do these particular dorms set next to a creek or a burm runoff? Moisture and unusually high humidity cause mold. Find the source and everyone can walk away happy.
In the third world, one of the common sources is people drying laundry on residential heating, such as radiators or ducts.
Women’s dorms, you say?
These students are clearly racist and need reeducation.
