Iran Death Toll Mounts as Regime Clamps Down on Protests With Lethal Forces
“Israeli intelligence estimates that at least 1,000 Iranians have already been killed in the wave of protests sweeping the country.”
Protests refuse to die out in Iran as the Mullah regime unleashes a deadly crackdown, killing hundreds of unarmed demonstrators in the past two weeks.
The death toll continues to mount as the nationwide uprising enters its fifteenth day. “The US-based Human Rights Activists News Agency has confirmed 572 deaths, but there have been suggestions that the true figure is far higher,” Sky News (UK) reported on Monday evening. “Alongside that, more than 10,600 people have been detained with protests now in their third week,” the broadcaster added, citing the same source.
According to Israeli intelligence sources, the actual number of demonstrators killed by the regime is much higher. “Israeli intelligence estimates that at least 1,000 Iranians have already been killed in the wave of protests sweeping the country, with hundreds of thousands reportedly taking to the streets,” Israel’s Ynetnews reported Monday. “Demonstrations have intensified significantly since last Thursday, with widespread unrest gripping multiple regions.”

Even by moderate assessments, the current death toll has surpassed that of the 2022 protests, which began after the death of 22-year-old Mahsa Amini at the hands of the regime’s ‘Morality Police’ for disregarding the hijab law. “Then, more than 550 people were killed and 20,000 detained,” the BBC noted, citing human rights groups.

Trump: Iran willing to ‘negotiate,’ but military option still on the table
President Trump, on Sunday, announced that he was weighing up “very strong options” against the regime as the killing of unarmed protesters continued. He disclosed that Tehran is willing to “negotiate,” but didn’t rule out striking regime targets.
🚨 BREAKING: Iran has CALLED President Trump, a meeting is being set up – but he says they STILL could launch strikes
"The leaders of Iran are tired of being BEAT UP by the US. Iran wants to negotiate, yes."

“President Donald Trump has said Iran wants to negotiate but warned he may still carry out strikes against the Islamic Republic over its violent crackdown on protests challenging the regime’s rule,” CNBC reported early Monday. “Trump has repeatedly warned that the United States may intervene if authorities open fire on the demonstrations, which first erupted two weeks ago over soaring prices.”
The president is reportedly considering a range of actions, from military to economic. “Possible actions for the US include military strikes, deploying secretive cyber weapons against Iranian military and civilian sites, placing more sanctions on Iran’s government and boosting anti-government sources online,” The Guardian (UK) reported, quoting sources.

Reports: Despite massive protests, the regime “far from collapsing”
Some Western commentators believe that the Mullah regime will manage to keep its hold on power despite the mounting unrest. Germany’s state-run Deutsche Welle, on Monday, cited an expert who said the regime has withstood the wave of protests and “was far from collapsing.”
The broadcaster commented that “the Islamic Republic’s five pillars — the intelligence service, the Revolutionary Guard, the clerics, the judiciary — all seem to be intact rather than weakening or defecting to the protesters’ side.”
Reuters concurred with the assessment, observing that “despite the massive scale of the protests, there are no signs of splits in the Shi’ite clerical leadership, military or security forces, and demonstrators have no clear central leadership.”
“The opposition is fragmented,” the news agency added.
Iran’s Crown Prince urges President Trump to ‘act’ against the regime
Iran’s exiled Crown Prince, Reza Pahlavi, urged President Trump to act against the regime as it massacres its own people.
President Trump can “bring about the greatest peace the world has ever seen: by helping Iranians finally end this criminal regime,” Pahlavi said on Sunday.
“The regime is weak and on its back legs. The people are ready to topple it. They do not need boots on the ground,” he added. “All they need is the action of the leader of the free world. Negotiating with this criminal regime, [which] is still threatening America, and the President will not bring peace.”
In recent weeks, the crown prince has emerged as the figurehead of the popular uprising, with protesters across the country chanting pro-monarcist slogans even though raising them is punishable by death in Iran.

Maybe the Crown Prince should do his own bidding. Get on the ground in Iran and lead the revolution as some risk to himself as he asks the Iranian people to do for him. In my eyes, he isn’t a leader and should not be the head of the country.
How does he do that? Fly into the country? Kaboom! Sneak across the border from Iraq? Afghanistan? How long to cross the country to get somewhere he can directly affect? How will he talk to all those people? Iran is jamming phone and computer frequencies. And how does he avoid becoming a martyr (so he’s no longer the unifying figurehead)?
Maybe take out the jammers? And take out the regime’s central comms. You could call it “leveling the playing field.”
The hard part is that we can’t topple them because it will make the uprising illegitimate in the eyes of many Iranians and a lot of the world. (And that will just make it harder to get a new, stable gov’t set up.)
Oh, and I think a few hundred single shot weapons might help, too.
Iran has no way to avoid some fairly catastrophic times.
Besides the ongoing insurgency and the disruption of the country cause by that, they have the economic collapse going on, AND the ongoing manmade drought going on. It is going to get really hungry and thirsty out. I rather expect some desperate and deadly moves by the regime to stay in power in the face of these, said moves not necessarily restricted to Iranian territory.
Subotai Bahadur
One of the best moves Trump could make after the revolution is to send the Army Corps of Engineers over to help shore up Tehran and to boost their desalination efforts. Come in to help and then leave when things get stable. IOW, a help and not a savior.
Cornered cats fight nastily.
Another point: Persians (Iranians) are not Arabs. but leadership is desperately needed. Would help a lot if one of the controlling groups turned on the leadership.
Guaranteed – a lot of money at the top. How much did they skim from the Obama cash delivery?
All this tells me is we need to keep up with sanctions and keep the pressure on.
Back when I had a reasonable congressman, and I would run into him at both Costco and a restaurant we both liked, I told him to plan for this event. I suggested a “care package” be made in quantity 1-2 million, consisting of
1) a slip case style prayer rug made with 6 layers of ballistic cloth
2) containing a Beretta 93R, a clip-on stock and 16 33-round magazines full of 9mm hard ball ammo
3) also containing goggles, Celox bandages and suture kit. Perhaps morphine too.
Even 1 million of these in play in Tehran would be influential in the outcome of whatever is going on.
I like that idea. I’d modify the comp at the end of the barrel to take a silencer. 147 grain subsonic rounds are quiet and in a urban environment will be difficult to pinpoint.
I looked up the different magazines for it. They run from 15 round stick magazines to a 50 round drum.
I wonder how many Kalashikovs are greased up and buried in the family gardens?
its a fn good thing they also have a second amend and know how to use it
Trump needs to act. This is bay of pigs all over again if we do nothing.
These are people being slaughtered that want to be free. We could help them!
How do you know him and the Juices aren’t already acting? Some. News out there that plenty of IRGC have suddenly been retired with zero chance of coming back!
But you are right, things need to start being blown up for the public to see.
Hey that’s fine with me brother. I just want to see people that want to be free get their country back and not get killed in the process.
This could be very good for the Middle East too. Hugest state sponsor of terrorism, if fully toppled, brings tremendous stability to the region. Of course, it doesn’t help that Biden gave back Afghanistan.
There has been 47 years of suppression in Iran. When the mullahs took power they killed 10’s of thousands simply because they worked with Americans and English. Over the years they have tortured and hung 100’s of thousands simply for not agreeing with the mullahs. They have beaten women in the street for not wearing a hijab. They condemned close to 500,000 to death as cannon fodder during the Iran Iraq war. Those who are protesting are what’s left of families torn asunder.
This is so horrible. I wish it didn’t t always have to be the USA who are the only ones to stand up to these psychos. I feel like it could backfire and hurt the protestors given how past US intervention is perceived. But no other country cares or has the will power to act. Also many countries support this evil regime and are hoping they survive .
speaking of which …
What ARE the Europeans saying about this?
Why is there no apparent support there?
Trump has issued threats, but the killing continues. When will we help these people?
