Bessent Mocks Newsom: ‘Patrick Bateman Meets Sparkle Beach Ken’ is Economically ‘Illiterate’

“He’s here this week with his billionaire sugar daddy, Alex Soros, and Davos is a perfect place for a man who, when everyone else is on lockdown, when he was having people arrested for going to church.”

It’s so hard not to like Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent. He’s smart, articulate, gives no cares, and, well, easy on the eyes!

California Gov. Gavin Newsom, who is in Davos for the World Economic Forum for some reason, decided to take a shot at Bessent, calling him smug and out of touch.

Oh, honey.

Bessent answered:

California Governor Gavin Newsom called the Treasury Secretary smug. Today in Davos the Treasury Secretary responded.. and I have to quote this: “Governor Newsom, who strikes me as Patrick Bateman meets Sparkle Beach Ken, may be the only Californian who knows less about economics than Kamala Harris. He’s here this week with his billionaire sugar daddy, Alex Soros, and Davos is a perfect place for a man who, when everyone else is on lockdown, when he was having people arrested for going to church.”

The Secretary added: “Shame on him. He is too smug, too self-absorbed, and too economically illiterate to know anything.”

The Secretary concluded with: “Let me know if you need any further clarification.”

“Patrick Bateman meets Sparkle Beach Ken” is something I will never get over.

Newscum is economically illiterate. Look at the Commiefornia budget woes. Unable to understand that you can’t keep spending money you don’t have and taxing the beejesus out every man, woman and child.

Who would have thought you’d need a cigarette after listening to a Treasury Secretary respond to the snarky jabs of America’s worst governor?

Also, Commiefornia is a total mess, largely thanks to greasy Newsolini’s incompetence and fiscal malfeasance/profligacy, but, he has ample time to jet to Switzerland, to h0bnob with the leftist/globalist Davos set.

Despicable.

is he running for President?

Whatever else can be said about the Trump 2.0 Cabinet Secretaries…. all of them can push back against goofy legacy media and d/prog nonsense very effectively with savage humour/sarcasm.

    You are so right !
I am sick of “Republicans” who cannot counter-punch.
These RINOs resemble human piñatas .
Trump’s cabinet knows how to fight the media.

To a battle of wits, Newsom comes unarmed.

I wouldn’t hire this clown to run a Dunkin Donuts.

A strange insult coming from Scott considering he was Alex’s daddy’s, George Soros’s right hand man for 20 years!

And, stop with the cringey love letters to this homo who is married to a man with whom he lived in a house literally called, “The Pink Palace.”

Sickening

Apparently sometime after 2000 Bessent saw the light and became a staunch conservative.

Then let him give the $300 million back to Soros. I can’t imagine working for such a man for 2 decades, making that loot and then turning around and snidely insulting his son. He is a vile, opportunistic , disloyal homo, disrespecting tje sacrament of marriage. But we have a supposedly Catholic reporter writing him love lettetd.

Have you ever been to Charleston? The house you’re sneering at is actually a historic home that Bessent purchased, tore down to the studs and fully restored. It’s surrounded by other similar homes that are pale yellow, blue, green, orange and yes, also pink.

Sounds like Victorian homes with lots of different colors. I would not like to live in one of them, but if I were a house painter, I would love to have the contract to keep them looking good.

    Is Bessent a “homo?”

I wasn’t aware of his sexual orientation, but, if so, at least he’s our homo.

He was Soros’s lapdog for 20 years. All I ever hear from MAGA types is Soros is the devils. But a convenient party switch and a few bon mots makes everyone idolize him.

      What weaklings

Bessent seems to be an effective SoT for #47’s agenda. That’s all that should matter to any rational conservative.

Do you posit that a person can’t change, politically or ideologically? That seems excessively doctrinaire and ideologically unfair. History is replete with conservatives who started out as leftists/Dhimmi-crats.

I’m not going to let perfect be the enemy of good enough. Secretary Bessent is making the right moves now and that’s what’s important. Remember, JD Vance was also anti-Trump until like millions of Americans he watched President Trump make America great again and changed his mind.
