Israel Eliminates Islamic Jihad Commander Who Took Part in Nahal Oz Massacre on October 7
The PIJ-Nukhba commander was killed in Israeli strikes after the recent ceasefire violations by Gaza terrorists.
The Israeli military eliminated a senior commander of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) terror group, who carried out the massacre in the Kibbutz Nahal Oz on October 7, 2023.
“The IDF has eliminated the Islamic Jihad’s Nukhba force commander in the Gaza City Brigade, Ala al-Din Abd al-Nasser Hassan Khudri, who infiltrated Kibbutz Nahal Oz during the October 7 massacre,” Israel Ynetnews reported Monday evening. Hamas and PIJ terrorists murdered 15 residents in Nahal Oz, and eight others were taken hostage in Gaza.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) also revealed Khudri’s association with Hamas’s Nukhba special forces, which led the attack on October 7, 2023 — highlighting close operational ties between the two Iran-sponsored Gaza-based terrorist groups. He was “the Nukhba commander within the Islamic Jihad Gaza City Brigade,” the IDF said in a statement.
The PIJ-Nukhba commander was killed in Israeli retaliatory strikes after a recent ceasefire violation by Hamas and the PIJ. The Ynetnews noted that the terrorist’s “elimination was carried out as part of strikes on terror targets in Gaza, in response to the ceasefire violation on November 22, during which Hamas terrorists fired at IDF forces.”
“Following the violation of the ceasefire agreement, in which Hamas terrorists fired at IDF troops on November 22nd, 2025, the IDF, with the intelligence guidance of the IDF Intelligence directorate and the ISA, struck terror targets, terrorists, and commanders belonging to terrorist organizations across the Gaza Strip,” the Israeli military disclosed on Monday.
“After an intelligence assessment, the IDF confirms that during one of the strikes, the terrorist Alaa al-Din Abd al-Nasser Hasan Khudari, who served as the Nukhba commander within the Islamic Jihad Gaza City Brigade, was eliminated,” the IDF statement added. “The terrorist infiltrated Kibbutz Nahal Oz during the brutal October 7th massacre, and throughout the war, he orchestrated terrorist attacks against IDF troops and Israeli civilians.”

Khudar infiltrated Kibbutz Nahal Oz on October 7, 2023, and continued attacks on Israel throughout the war, according to the IDF.
Kibbutz Nahal Oz was among the communities hardest hit on Oct. 7, with residents killed, wounded, and abducted.
The strike followed Islamic Jihad and Hamas violations of the ceasefire, including reportedly firing at Israeli forces on November 22, according to the military.
The IDF carried out a series of strikes on terror targets, operatives, and commanders across Gaza after the ceasefire was broken. (…)
The military has announced the deaths of several terrorists involved in the Oct. 7 attacks, including commanders who infiltrated other Gaza border communities and those who held Israelis hostage.
Khudari’s elimination also shows Israel’s commitment to hunting down the perpetrators of atrocities on October 7, 2023. Weeks after the massacre, the Israeli intelligence agencies Mossad and Shin Bet set up a joint unit to track down and eliminate terrorists who took part in the October 7 attack. The unit is called NILI, an acronym in Hebrew for Netzach Yisrael Lo Yeshaker, meaning “the eternity of God will not lie” (1 Samuel 15:29).
Taking out Nukhba forces’ commanders has been a priority for this dedicated unit. As Legal Insurrection noted in November 2023: “Top on [this] unit’s list are the commanders of Hamas’s Nukhba forces who led thousands of their terrorist fighters in the cross-border attack carrying out horrifying atrocities, including murdering and burning of babies.”
Netanyahu open to agreement with Syrian regime, won’t compromise on border security
Amid a diplomatic push by President Donald Trump to strengthen Syria’s Ahmed al-Sharaa regime, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has expressed willingness to reach a deal with Damascus — without compromising on Israel’s border security.
After the fall of the Assad regime in early December 2024, the IDF created a buffer zone along the border with Syria, a country awash with foreign and domestic Islamic terror groups. In July 2025, Israel had to intervene militarily to protect Druze and other minorities from being massacred by Syrian regime-affiliated jihadists. Following the IDF’s intervention in Syria, Prime Minister Netanyahu declared that, given the present situation, the area south of Damascus needed to stay demilitarized. “We have set forth a clear policy: demilitarization of the region to south of Damascus, from the Golan Heights and to the Druze Mountain area,” he said.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Tuesday a deal with Syria is possible and he expects Syrian authorities to establish a demilitarised buffer zone from Damascus to Mount Hermon and other areas.
Netanyahu spoke a day after U.S. President Donald Trump, whose administration has been trying to broker a non-aggression pact between the two countries, said it was very important that Israel maintained a “strong and true dialogue” with Damascus. (…)
“What we expect Syria to do is, of course, to establish a demilitarized buffer zone from Damascus to the buffer area, including the approaches to Mount Hermon and the Hermon peak,” Netanyahu said while visiting wounded soldiers in central Israel. “We hold these areas in order to ensure the security of Israel’s citizens, and that is what obligates us.”
He added: “With goodwill and an understanding of these principles, it is possible to reach an agreement with the Syrians, but we will stand by our principles in any case.”
