IDF Eliminates Two Terror Commanders After Hamas Renewed Attacks on Troops Across Ceasefire Line

Iran working with Hamas, Hezbollah to rebuild ‘Axis’ of terror, Israeli officials warn.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) eliminated two top Hamas commanders after the Islamic terrorist group once again violated the U.S.-brokered truce in Gaza by attacking Israeli troops stationed across the ceasefire line.

On Wednesday, “several terrorists opened fire toward the area where IDF soldiers are operating in Khan Yunis,” the IDF said in a press release. “In response, the IDF began striking Hamas terrorist targets across the Gaza Strip.”

Following the Hamas attack, The Times of Israel reported on Israeli “airstrikes against Hamas targets across Gaza,” adding that they “targeted senior Hamas field commanders.”

Subsequent media reports confirmed the elimination of at least two senior Hamas commanders. “Military kills senior Hamas naval commander and Zeitoun battalion chief in retaliatory airstrikes,” Israel’s Ynetnews reported.

As President Donald Trump’s plan for Gaza takes shape after getting endorsement from the UN Security Council earlier this week, Hamas was strengthening its hold on the enclave. “As the world turned its attention this week to the UN Security Council vote endorsing U.S. President Donald Trump’s plan to end the war in Gaza, Hamas has been steadily consolidating power on the ground in areas outside Israeli control—beyond the so-called ‘yellow line,'” the Israeli news outlet observed.

On Thursday, the IDF troops in southern Gaza thwarted an attack by uncovering a rocket launcher aimed at Israel. Hamas had positioned the launcher inside the Yellow Line. After the U.S.-brokered ceasefire came into effect six weeks ago, Israeli troops have withdrawn behind this demarcated line.

The IDF, in a statement, announced the discovery of an “eight-tube rocket launcher with four rockets aimed toward Israeli territory in the Yellow Line area.”

“Kfir Brigade forces are operating in the Yellow Line area in accordance with the ceasefire agreement and directives of the political echelon, tasked with defending the area,” The IDF statement said. “During area-clearing activity, Kfir Brigade forces identified an eight-tube rocket launcher with four rockets, aimed toward Israeli territory.”

In another operation, the military uncovered a weapons cache. “In addition, during a separate operation by the Kfir Brigade, several weapons were found, including Kalashnikov rifles, fragmentation grenades, explosives, magazines, and military uniforms,” the Jerusalem Post reported Thursday.

Iran working with Hamas, Hezbollah to rebuild ‘Axis’ of terror, Israeli officials warn

Hamas’s attack comes amid warnings that Iran is rebuilding its ‘Axis’ of terror, destroyed by Israel following the October 7 massacre.

For decades, Iran has spent billions in funding, arming, and training proxy terror groups such as Hamas, Lebanon’s Hezbollah, Yemen-based Houthis, and Iraqi militias in a bid to create a forward base of terrorist operations and encircle Israel. The armed conflict that began in the wake of the October 7 terror attack led to a series of Israeli military operations, which greatly diminished the terrorist capabilities of Hamas and Hezbollah. The Houthis in Yemen also suffered massive blows, with Israeli strikes nearly wiping out their terrorist leadership and destroying Iranian-supplied weaponry.

The Jerusalem Post, on Thursday, reported Iran’s renewed efforts to rebuild its broken jihadist axis:

Israeli defense officials assess that Hamas is closely coordinating with Hezbollah and Iran to revive and rebuild the so-called “axis of resistance,” while the IDF expands strikes in Gaza and southern Lebanon, officials said on Thursday.

The assessments follow an IDF operation that killed the Zeitoun Battalion commander in Gaza and a series of recent airstrikes in Lebanon, raising questions over potential rocket fire from Gaza and Israel’s next steps on the northern front.

According to the officials, US pressure is, for now, restraining a sharper Israeli response to Hezbollah’s ceasefire violations.

According to Southern Command sources, Hamas’s military wing has been rebuilding its force since the ceasefire took hold, gathering intelligence, recruiting and training operatives, and preparing for escalation.

The group is reportedly searching for operational opportunities to launch a surprise, limited attack against IDF units inside Palestinian territory, in violation of the deal, the sources said.

The IDF, on Thursday, confirmed these fears, revealing that Hezbollah was rebuilding terrorist infrastructure on Israel’s northern border.

“The Hezbollah terrorist organization has been working to rebuild its capabilities in the village of Beit Lif in southern Lebanon, in a blatant violation of the understandings between Israel and Lebanon,” the IDF said in a statement.

“IDF troops, led by the Northern Command and in coordination with the Intelligence Directorate, identified dozens of terrorist infrastructure sites in the area of the village, including headquarters and weapons storage facilities belonging to the Hezbollah terrorist organization,” the IDF added. “Hezbollah continues to endanger the villages and their residents while exploiting the civilian environment to advance terrorist activities.”

Instead of building desalination plants, Iran is rebuilding the axis of evil. I wonder what the Iranian population will do when there is not a drop of water to drink?

Until Hamas and its sympathizers are eliminated as were the Nazis and Japanese militarists of 80 years past this problem will exist. Israel needs to stop nibbling around the edges and get the job done.

That’s a pretty tough ask for Israel which has roughly the same population size as New Jersey to take on and defeat Iran by itself…much less the rest of the shadowy supporters (and some not so shadowy supporters) of Hamas worldwide.

If I’m Israel, I sabotage Iran’s remaining water supply and let them all die of thirst. I’d be tired of this never-ending shit.

Trump’s Gaza plan is already dead.

Good on them.
On this I can say I support Israel wholeheartedly.

Good trigger discipline… but is really needed when there is no magazine in the rifle?

At least the ACOG is not on backwards. (Like in the US Navy.)

No מִצְנֶפֶת ?? This really is a “photo” to look good to the uninformed. AI crap-tastic nonsense? Seems like it.

Nice peace agreement you got there . . .

Too bad it was dead in the water from the very beginning.

Time to allow the IDF to recommence their military activities and eliminate the Arab terrorists (aka Hamas) from the Gaza Strip once and for all.

You know, one thing about Hamas: the working conditions aren’t great but the chances for promotion are amazing!
