Fort Lewis College Gains TPUSA Chapter After Student Govt. Rejected Them

Fort Lewis College in Durango, CO, will have a Turning Point USA chapter!
The Fort Lewis College TPUSA leaders appealed the student government’s rejection of their application and won!

Zen Moreno, vice president of the TPUSA chapter, told The College Fix that conservative students experienced “tremendous support” from the community after the initial vote.
Among their supporters were the Colorado House Republicans.
The lawmakers sent a letter Thursday to college President Heather Shotton asking her to reconsider the school’s decision. They also urged the college to remain a place “where all students are free to speak, organize, and engage in civil dialogue.”
“Free expression should never depend on political popularity,” the lawmakers wrote.
Moreno told The Fix that the chapter filed “an appeal through the student court,” as well as “grievance forms on the discrimination” after the student government’s initial vote in October.
He said campus administrators and the president of the Associated Students of Fort Lewis College also “met with the chapter founder Jonah Flynn to inform us of the appeal and grievance processes that were available to us.”

Just another way of expressing the uncomfortable (to many) truism that freedom of speech protects ONLY offensive speech…
…because inoffensive speech doesn’t require protection.
Bravo – This is the peoples house, In rebuttal to Henry, one has to describe ONLY offensive speech – For example: speech against rapists and Hamas?
Or – Speech against the socio-communist DEI? the key is my subtle bomb
thrower, offensive to whom? Islam will kill you over speech, is that your position as they consider and have the ( mental ? religious? ) right to do so.
The dual methodology of Islam, is both religious/political and militaristic and simply not compatible with a free State as they doo not accept our Religious positions.
