California Passes Prop 50 to Flip Republican Districts to Democrat
California will get 5 new Democrat House seats in 2026.
****I changed the headline. My friend told me it was misleading and I agree. The changes would flip the districts. They’re not adding more districts.
We need to strike gerrymandering from our vocabulary. It happens all the time.
Republicans need to accept it and fight with it as well.
California voters overwhelmingly passed Prop 50. Over 60% of the voters said yes.
That means the state will push aside the nonpartisan redistricting commission for the rest of the decade and allow the Democrat-led legislature to redraw the Congressional districts.
The new map will likely give Democrats five more seats in the House.
California has 52 seats in the House. Democrats have 43 seats and Republicans have nine.
District 1: “The redrawn District 1 would stretch the district west to encompass more Democratic voters and remove many of the Republican North State constituents.”
District 3: “The redrawn District 3 would include parts of Democratic-leaning Sacramento County and removes a large swath of the Eastern Sierra.”
District 22: “The redrawn District 22 would encompass many parts of the current district but now stretches north in Fresno County.”
District 41: “The redrawn Congressional District in Riverside County would be replaced entirely by a new seat in central Los Angeles County.”
District 48: “The redrawn Congressional District which covers East County, San Diego would pick up Palm Springs, while other parts shift to nearby Democrats.”

Agreed. This was the inevitable result. The fact that the d/prog continue to be rewarded with greater political control and power by a majority of CA voters despite the abject failure of their policies seems to indicate CA is a lost cause in the short/intermediate term. I suspect it’s gonna get way worse before a majority of CA voters throw out the d/prog. In the meantime no whining from CA residents who chose to remain. Y’all have the option to get out, might cost you financially, might not be what you want to do, might take you away from Family, Friends, your birthplace, childhood memories … but that doesn’t negate the fact that if you stay you’ve chosen to be ruled by Cray Cray d/prog policies. Choices have consequences, choose wisely …or not.
Thiel sees Cali as another Saudi Arabia. Enough natural resources and an economy , not of Left making, that is resilient enough to chug along under more and more socialist excesses. The only major option to arrest the trajectory would be a huge natural disaster that took out most of the coastal area major population centers. The “golden state” is more the straw color of urine these days.
They have to have people willing to harvest those natural resources or they will sit aside and waste.
If they are unfriendly to enough of them, they will leave. Saudi Arabia isn’t part of a United States where people can vote with their feet.
So then, its off to court they go and eventually the Supreme Court I guess once they get through all the democrat lackeys??
The War Between The States (rekindled) is fully out in the open. A nation cannot exist half free and half a dictatorship of the proletariat. The only reversal for California is a massive natural disaster that destroys the coastal elite enclaves.
Watch Texas’s new maps be held up in court while California is allowed to proceed with their scheme unimpeded. I’m feeling pretty blackpilled these days.

Not cynical, factual observation….not the first to notice how quickly votes were counted on time…by 10pm last night…when Dem’s were winning specific key races. Thing is, the General Public Lemmings voted for their demise. So be it…can’t fix stupid.
Openly cheating in order to maintain power at any cost…let alone ‘Those Who Enjoy Their Captivity’ voted for this absurd garbage, like lemmings to the slaughter. Watched Democrat Rep’s marching illegals up the street to vote…the DOJ needs to start prosecuting corrupt local and state officials for election fraud. (hey, a man can dream)
Doesn’t this have the potential to backfire on Democrats? They are starting to lose the Hispanic vote, which is about half the voters of California, who had until yesterday voted very heavily for Democrats.
To push their gerrymandering, Democrats are spreading their majority thinner.
If Trump makes a major effort to win California Hispanics and other California conservatives with a mega-rally tour, those thinner margins may flip the other way and actually end up costing the Democrats seat seats.
It’s asking a lot of our seemingly tireless president, but he’s pulled off greater already. Don’t put it past him.
The “Hispanic Vote” is so closely tied to illegal immigration and social welfare that American Hispanics are now “outnumbered”. The State celebrates Caesar Chavez yet ignores that he was against illegal immigration.
Depends on the flavor of the ‘Hispanic’. Rural border area Hispanics in TX ain’t the same as urban LA Hispanics. That’s before we differentiate among the Cuban v PR v Mexican v whatever. IMO the two important but often overlooked overlays on top of Nation of Origin are country mouse/City mouse considerations and how recent the ‘immigration’ occurred. The first is pretty simple as country folks of all stripes are generally more self reliant than city folk. The second is that generally the further removed a family is from immigration the more legal they are likely to be, less tolerant of illegal aliens and abuse of ‘welfare’ and/or other big govt programs aka assimilated.
It helps to remember right-of-center folks have been fleeing California in droves. That showing up in election results is logical .
Texas should recall the legislature again, and one-up this. “We tried to play nice, but if you insist we can play hardball too.”
Democrats are simply making it clear they want a one part state, not democracy. The only option for Republicans to prevent America suffering this fate is to play by the same rules – no Democrat seats in Red states..
