Accused National Guard Shooter Worked With U.S. in Afghanistan
The suspect worked with the CIA.
Oh boy.
Rahmanullah Lakanwal, 29, an Afghan national, is accused of shooting two National Guardsmen in D.C. on Wednesday afternoon.
The men remain in critical condition.
Authorities described it as a “targeted shooting.”
Well.. CIA Director John Ratcliffe told Fox News that Lakanwal worked with the U.S. in Afghanistan.
Lakamwal came to the U.S. in 2021 during Biden’s awful Afghanistan withdrawal under “Operation Allies Welcome.”
From Fox News:
Intelligence sources told Fox News Digital that Lakanwal had a prior relationship with various entities in the U.S. government, including the CIA, due to his work as a member of a partner force in Kandahar.
“In the wake of the disastrous Biden withdrawal from Afghanistan, the Biden administration justified bringing the alleged shooter to the United States in September 2021 due to his prior work with the U.S. government, including CIA, as a member of a partner force in Kandahar, which ended shortly following the chaotic evacuation,” CIA Director John Ratcliffe told Fox News Digital.
“The individual—and so many others—should have never been allowed to come here,” Ratcliffe continued. “Our citizens and service members deserve far better than to endure the ongoing fallout from the Biden administration’s catastrophic failures.”
Ratcliffe added: “God bless our brave troops.”
A relative told News4 that Lakanwal “served in the Afghan army for 10 years alongside U.S. Special Forces troops.”
Lakanwal lived in Washington state:
Lakanwal had been living in Washington state, two law enforcement officials and a person familiar with the matter told The Associated Press.
His former landlord, Kristina Widman, told the outlet that Lakamal arrived in Bellingham, Wash., about four years ago with his wife and five children.
How he traveled the roughly 2,500 miles to Washington, D.C., ahead of Wednesday’s shooting remains unclear.
The relative also served in the Afghan army with Lakanwal:
“We were the ones that were targeted by the Taliban in Afghanistan,” he said.
“I cannot believe it that he might do this,” the relative added.
Officials are likely investigating the shooting as an act of terror.

So he used to be for us but now he’s against us? Okay. I would simply note that past performance is not predictive pf future results.
In short: we should seriously consider halting all immigration from the middle east.
NB: Israel is IN the middle east but not OF the middle east.
A case of Sudden Jihad Syndrome.
IMO we should halt ALL immigration until:
1. Every illegal alien present in the USA is found, arrested and removed. Whether they crossed illegally, overstayed a visa doesn’t matter. I don’t care how long they’ve been here whether five minutes or five decades anyone unlawfully present must go. No exceptions for sob stories.
2. Every recent refugee, asylum claimant, TPS recipient, DACA or other program…doesn’t matter, give them a mandatory in person reporting date with a very intrusive and adversarial written and oral interview. Require the alien to prove they are a ‘good guy’ with verifiable evidence. Any felony is a bar. Any misdemeanor involving any sort of violence, resistance to law enforcement/judicial action to include having a bench warrant for unpaid tickets or inherently dangerous act to include DUI, B&E, criminal trespass or mental health diagnosis is a bar to remaining.
3. Every immigrant granted a green card or naturalized in this century who cannot demonstrate the ‘English language proficiency’ required to qualify is stripped of their grant and removed.
4. Adopt English as the official language of the US govt for all purposes. No habla = tough cookies, you don’t get a translator paid by the State, you don’t get to demand a bilingual LEO, an election ballot or anything else in any l another than English.
5. When all that is accomplished start the clock on a two decade period of assimilation for those not removed.
I won’t disagree with much of your 5 points, but what of their children who’ve been born on US soil; and therefore are US citizena
Lets assume for the moment we agree that mere geography confers Citizenship aka ‘birthright Citizenship’ and that the children of these people are in fact US Citizens.
So what? The Parents ain’t lawfully present and like every alien are subject to removal. No sob stories. The Parents gotta go and they can choose to bring their children or abandon them behind the USA. Their choice and their problem. No more ‘compassion’ and excuses and waivers and trying to find reasons not to send their ass packing back out the door to somewhere else.
THIS: Adopt English as the official language of the US. No more press 1 for whatever language. You have to know English to be naturalized and how to read English to get a driver’s license.
Basically yeah but only for govt interactions, a private company could still have their phone tree.
Press 2 for Spanish should summon ICE for deportation.
Shades of Jamal Wali back in April of this year. He was a terp, like it seems this guy was. Severe PTSD. Flipped out when he was pulled over for IIRC expired tags. Drew a gun and shot the cop, was killed by a second officer who’d come up on the passenger side.
“The suspect worked with the CIA.”
You mean, like Elissa Slotkin? Uh huh. Maybe he still does?
“Biden’s awful Afghanistan withdrawal under “Operation Allies Welcome.”
Allies, cartelistas, Tren de Araguans, ISIS jihadis, Red Chinese spies, Pakistani killdozer conductors, Martians, everybody welcome. Everybody.
