U.S. Marshall, Illegal Alien Shot in Los Angeles
“Both have non life threatening injuries and are at the hospital.”
Fox News’s Bill Meugin reported that someone shot a U.S. Marshall and an illegal alien during an immigration enforcement operation in Los Angeles.
According to the Department of Homeland Security, an illegal alien, who previously escaped from custody, tried to evade another arrest.
The illegal alien then used his car as a weapon, ramming it into the law enforcement trucks to escape,
The officers fired defensive shots, with one hitting the illegal alien in the elbow.
A ricochet bullet hit the U.S. Marshall in the hand.

“This is a developing situation and information is preliminary: During a targeted enforcement traffic stop in the Los Angeles area, an illegal alien—who had previously escaped from custody—attempted to evade arrest yet again. ICE law enforcement officers, assisted by U.S. Marshals, pulled the illegal alien over in a standard law enforcement procedure. The illegal alien weaponized his vehicle and began ramming the law enforcement vehicle in an attempt to flee. Fearing for the safety of the public and law enforcement, our officers followed their training and fired defensive shots. The illegal alien was shot in the elbow and one law enforcement officer was shot in the hand by a ricochet bullet. Both are in the hospital.”
“These are the consequences of conduct and rhetoric by sanctuary politicians and activists who urge illegal aliens to resist arrest. Resisting arrest puts the safety of illegal aliens, law enforcement, and the public at risk. Our law enforcement officers are facing a more than 1000% increase in assaults against them including vehicle rammings by illegal aliens. We are once again calling on sanctuary politicians, agitators, and the media to turn the temperature down and stop calling for violence and resistance against ICE law enforcement.”

The headline makes it as if someone not involved in the incident shot the agent and the illigal alien 😡
Given the accuracy of the MSM, it wouldn’t surprise me to learn that what actually happened was two ten year olds were playing cops and robbers and fell off their bicycles.
Did you actually use “accuracy” and “MSM” in the same sentence?

Totally not the story the headline implied it was.
I like how the agents used their training to fire defensive shots to protect the public. I’m sure dozens of rounds were loosed and the best their training could produce was one shot in the elbow of the perp and one to the hand of a cop. Their statement screams “we’re hiding the real story,”
What makes you so sure they have training?
They are trained. A ricochet can happen any time there is a hard target next to or behind the actual target. I’m sure you know this.
Rule 4: Always be aware of what is around and behind your target.

Their skills suck. I’ve been watching PDX video of them scrapping with rioters… for God’s sake- get on the mats. It’s like middle school JV football.
ICE guy scrapping with the trombone player who is trying to de-arrest a rioter by pulling on the rioter AND still holding his trombone. ICE agent is beating on the guys arm. FFS the guy his holding a trombone and yanking on the rioter… grab his ankle and drop him. My daughter could have done that at the age of 10.
I want to know how many shots were fired, how many struck the perp, how many struck the perp’s vehicle, and how many are unaccounted for.
Yes, all of our cops at all levels need a LOT more training on firearms usage.
And I agree with Andy they need to be better trained (and be working out) on melee, as well.
First, try that illegal alien for attempted murder. Then, when he gets out of prison, Deport his ass and blackball him forever

But the rest of the post contradicts this, so you should correct it. Perhaps the lede paragraph was written first, when it appeared as if that might have happened, but by the time the post was submitted there was better information, as we see later in the post So it should be corrected.

For crying out loud. You can’t even get through the first sentence without misspelling both Melugin’s name and “U.S. Marshal.”
